I made one in my 3rd month of my 4th pregnancy and now in the third trimester it is the ONLY skirt I've made (also made your twirly ones and other A-lines that I made shorter) that fits so beautifully without being too snug or immodest in length. Really glad I made it longer like you said. The bump definitely lifted that hemline! :P

This is easy. Will try this. I am not a dress maker but I have a machine. These instructions are simple. Having the Internet is a blessing. I can do crochet and embroidery. Your videos are very good.

Non of my adult kids even owns a T.V. or has cable; Everything is internet based watching on their laptops for them and their adult friends...so really, this lady already IS on T.V.....just the modern version! Love the skirts! Was just thinking of making a few to take to the beach to pull on over a bathing suit!

I purchased years ago, a suit....the skirt is a type of pencil style, but has some room as it progresses to the hemline...not an A line but not a snug pencil either, it is my workhorse, it is in Navy blue and I am looking to sew one in Burgundy and Brown...this help so much thanks! PS Love your hair with the braid.... going to try that too!

You can hand sew this if you do a lot to relax. Sewing machines are noisy, bulky and a pain to fix. I tend to join sewing clubs and pay £3 for 3 hours of the use of a machine and meet people with great new ideas I Love it. Anyway just make a small space just enough to fit the elastic (like you would do a lace blind and wire, Feel your comfort zone and push through the elastic waistband with a baby pin
I've made this skirt but had to make some measurement changes. You indicate to add 7 inches for hem and waist, but you actually have used 4 inches (2 for waist and 2 for hem). You mention to take your hip measurements and minus 3 (but this would render the skirt too tight). I found that if you measure your hip size, you end up taking it in 1/2 or 3/4 inch on each side, while sewing the side seams and this is snug enough.

Enjoyed the demonstration, but I like the stripes to match on the sides.
