Wow I was thinking of doing something similar, but I can now see that it is quite a lengthy process being that I am someone very inpatient. End result is worth it though
To bad my 2015 Honda Accord doesn't have built-in speakers in the front dashboard... I would have done similar. Last thing I want to do is remove the front dash and figuring that its not possible :( unless I just make holes not knowing what is beneath :/
:( that is a shame. I think it would be worthwhile to rip out the dash and try depending on the goals, but I doubt it would be a forgiving install. Do you midranges running currently?
@@leskoaudio I have the 3 ways (Focal 165as3). I picked the equipment/wires etc, and I had the installer put it in, but he did the 2 way only because it really came down to custom mounting the midranges..... If I had a garage I would have tried it myself, but dismounting the dash looks like a nightmare.
@@leskoaudio I looked at some pics of the dashboard on Ebay, it seems like some vents run off the same area... did you have that while putting the midranges?
I didn’t have clearance issues with the ESBs, but I totally get where you’re coming from. The 4" Audiofrogs were a pain to fit, but luckily, the vents didn’t give me trouble. Based on the images on eBay, it looks tricky. I’ve seen people sacrifice the vents or at least cut into them, but I’m not sure if you’re willing to make that compromise lol. If you’re willing to spend a few hundred dollars, I’d maybe buy the part online or go to a junkyard to see how bad the removal/install is before ripping your dash in your car?
@leskoaudio my mind is in circles ..other options from some examples I have seen in utube, FB, forums, etc. Involves creating custom sail panel were the tweeter sit, n make it fit like a lego between the door sail panel and dash..maybe it will convince me to create a custom pod ..maybe i will missed them up lol. same time need to make sure i have space for the AMTS if i get them...
A correction - comb filtering for the previous drivers started at 1.5 kHz not 4 kHz
I think RAW-CAt had a video where he tested the angled dash-mount mids vs flat-mounted and it corrected the cancellation. I think! Great stuff!

Thank you. My brother is big into speakers and car audio and this helped him a lot.
Looking excellent and love ESB....Going to have the ESB 5000 3 way set installed soon
i can’t wait to see more content

how does the IB sub sound?
I am a big fan. It has fantastic low end extension and I cannot go back to sealed in this car
