Newman, once again your help has solved an issue for me. Thanks for all of the great videos. Now my cyclone is shooting great and my Maverick is not 'puffing' in my face.
Thanks for this vid. Had my .25 sniper about 3 months, and loving it. took it to a friends house to show him how cool it was, second mag through the gun, and the screws came loose. managed to strip the heads of the cheapo grub screws trying to get it working again. Got some titanium m4x8 cap screws ( used for water bottle mount on a bicycle) and replaced them with the larger head ones. looks a tad bit weird, but much better wrench to head engagement.
Glad to see you posting so many helpful videos especially about the Maverick. I just installed the heavy hammer and reset the regulators and not maxed picked up 60 fps on 23 gr H&N slugs. After they are gone I'm going to 28 gr Zan slugs and more rear reg pressure. Thanks for all your help.
@@910AirgunTuningandRepairs I want to try the Altaros next as they have a bc like .22LR Rim Fire subsonic and with the 800mm barrel we should be able to them up to 1075fps
Nice! I’ve used your previous video to ensure pellet probe alignment which works well. Have two Mavericks and the downside to them if you often switch out probes or calibers is the cocking rod screws always tend to get loose even with blue loctite. Had to buy a dozen grub screws as spares. Love my Mavericks but FX really has to come up with a replacement design to solve this issue.
I received a wildcat mk3 bt from Pyramyd Air and both regulator adjustments are flush with the face so what does that mean. I'm so confused as to why they would send out a rifle with the adjustments maxed out?
Helpful for the actual probe alignment, how far should the pin extend out? I got mine from UA and installed it, my screw is slightly forward, however when I cock it back to insert a magazine, I can see the pin is too far forward and hits the mag. I am thinking about measuring the length of the standard probe and adjust it so the pin probe is same length?
Yes, the FX adjustable pin probe should be set to the same length as the pellet probe if you wish to insert the magazine without pulling the lever back further. The aftermarket pin probes that are not adjustable must be pulled back further to insert the magazine
I think my hummer is loos in my maverick ... Itmoves up n down when I dail the gun ... But once it is cocked it doesn't move .. I wonder if it is ok or no please reply
I'm having a problem with my maverick. Groups are not as tight as they should be. I've cleaned the barrel then shot about 500 pellets through to put some lead in the barrel but still not as good as is should be. Any tips or pointers for me to look at please
I just got a maverick VP .30 and I'm on my 3rd clip everything was going smoothly and suddenly my pellet probe / breech won't fully close. Is it possible I loaded 2 slugs in or is my probe out of alignment? Any help would be much appreciated.
A double load is definitely possible. I recommend removing the barrel to clear the jam and to make sure there are no other obstructions that may cause a jam
In an ideal world, just past the transfer port, but sometimes the barrel inlet port is larger than the port in the action, so that is all you are trying to get past. Lining up the probe the way this video shows is the best available alignment and pellet position.
If you have a 3d printer let me know and I will send you my files for this - otherwise I can post one to you - it even works sideways on the Accessory Rail!ua-cam.com/video/ij_dufMoo3c/v-deo.html

that's a damn good idea, how have they been holding up?

The Zan slugs are great! Me and Ernest have tested almost 1000 between us, all shot wonderful!
@@910AirgunTuningandRepairs I tested them in my friend's M3 Sniper in .25 and they were lasers.

Great tip…followed your video and maverick is spot on now.
Perfect!
thanks for sharing buddy
No problem 👍
If you haven't already can you do a video on hammer spring adjustments for the Maverick?
Sure thing! Look for it next week 🤙

Can you do a tutorial fitting the maverick plenum on a wild cat and make an adapter for the air tube to fit on on in place of the bottle adapter?
It will already all thread together, but the air tube will be extended much further past the barrel.

Yes that is normal, it is a free floating hammer system, prevents hammer double bounce
Just sent my Wildcat mk3 to FXUSA for tjis simple fix😡. I won't see my gun in 3 weeks. I just couldn't take the puffin of air in my eye any longer🥺
Ok
Good to know

Sounds like the tune is off. Best place to start is shooting over a chronograph to record the velocities, then you will be able to pinpoint the issue.

What if its not there? You never say how to get it there?
How far should the pellet probe push the pellet into the barrel

Why do we have to align the pellet probe shouldn't the factory do that?
It will be aligned on a new gun from the factory. This is if you disassemble the rifle or you have an issue
