I have a Westone Prestige 150.
What an extraordinary instrument.
Heavy enough to trap nerves in my neck and loud enough to blow away any Les Paul I've tried.
It's a dream
So awesome (minus the neck part :-)!
I have an old Westone Prestige 250. Fantastic guitar.
I have a Westone Pantera x 790 bass and a Westone Pantera x 350 guitar, I have the bass for years now and I use it a lot. It has never let me down, both sound great and they look good too.
i have a left handed lynch corsair,i play it as my main,my best guitar i ever owned.
Thank you so much for keeping it alive....I have 2 Westones. One is a rare 1987 Westone Genesis II XA1630 Platinum Silver Burst 60th Anniversary that has the original case and it's in prestine condition not even a scratch Motsumoku. I also have a 1988 WA1440RD reverse headstock..
Would like to ad some new pictures to the website if you don't care.
I bought an Aria Pro II TS400 brand-new from the Rose-Morris shop in Shaftsbury Avenue in London in 1980.
Always regret selling it.
Used it for years in bands.
After that I bought an Aria Pro II "The Cat".
Matsumoku guitars are wonderful.
The Cat is pretty sweet too!
I have a 82 Westone Concord bass. It's a medium scale so it's not to heavy but man that bass is a real thumber. It's basically a P bass with a smaller, different body style.I don't think they ever were sold in the states so there a little rare. Plenty of Aria Pro II,s. 85 Night Warrior, 85 zz bass and guitar. 87 ST- Series. And my best guitar is my 80 Westbury Standard and a 79 Westbury track I bass. 86 Ibanez Roadstar 140, all Matsumuko made. All 80,s. I'm looking for a Westone Thunder bass but like I said in America there tuff to find.
I so wish I’d hung on to my first bass (Thunder 1a bass). I traded it against a Washburn Steinberger copy at Guitar Village in Cambridge UK. The folly of youth!.
At least you are not alone Simon!
Quite a bit of useful information in this podcast.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching Scott!
Any info about the Concord ST? Two humbuckers, trem bridge, one volume one tone. I just bought a white one with black neck, possibly a 1984 model made by Matsumoku with two MMK 45 pups, push pull pots for coil split.
I have found so little info as this might be a transition model with a maple body(?).
Any confirmation on any of this?
Thanks!
I don't personally know if that's a transition model. Have you tried the FB groups or Westone forums listed in the show notes section? That's probably the best starting point.
