hi my name is gonzalo, i see your video because i will try to make a character of "smiling critters" of the game "poppy playtime" but in this case his mouth is more smiling not only open, how could do the mouth adapting of this tutorial? thank you so much 🫂🫂🫂🫂 my english is so bad sorry 😞😞😞
I loved the tutorial, really good. i'm starting to learn how to crochet and amigurumis. and learning English little by little, his voice is soft, and being able to understand his step by step, without needing subtitles. lovely, thank you, won an entry. I'm from Brazil
Thanks! I need a pac-man-like-shape for my project and finally found this detailed tutorial! Just wondering, is there any tricks in controlling the size of the mouth opening? How do I make them smaller/bigger?
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. Could you please do a tutorial on the chameleon? My 4 year old grandson lives in Montana and they do not have any lizards, so when he came to Florida last year on vacation he was just amazed with and fell in love with lizards. I would love to make the chameleon for him for Christmas.😁
Is it true that once you crocheted in the mouth, your Vs changes sides and your inner side becomes your outer side. hope you get what I mean. It's about the inside and outside of your work and if it changes.
OMG... I love this crochet pattern of Pascal the Chameleon. I can really make this as gifts too. Thank you so so so much for sharing and for the wonderful easy-to-follow tutorial. P/S: And yes, I love the idea of using a hairpin (bobby pin) as stitch marker.... this is by far the best and easiest to use than those many others I've tried. Love your channel, girl. Woohoooo... yay!!!!! lol.
So I was wondering for round 7 if you change colors to white, while attaching the mouth to the head, would it make it appear that just around the rim it makes it look like teeth? I wanted to try to create a fozzy the bear, he had an open mouth with teeth and this would be perfect if it worked out. This is amazing!! Thank you!!
This pattern is the best! Easy to follow and an amazing result! I'm looking for a squirtle pattern I crocheted a couple of years ago, and it was linked here for the open mouth. But I really can't find it! Have you got any idea what pattern it could be? 😢❤
Welcome to the world of amigurumis! If you're completely brand new, I recommend starting with my Duck amigurumi tutorial as I go a lot slower in there: ua-cam.com/video/3-MBJ-8_lf4/v-deo.html or my Mario Mushroom tutorial. Happy crocheting!
Thanks! Are you talking about the part of the mouth where you fold in half and then single crochet across the line? If so there are no loops there, and you just need to stick your hook in between the stitches so it goes below the fabric, if that makes sense. Or if that's not the part you're talking about, give me a time stamp so I know which part you're talking about. And I'll try to walk you through!
Ami Amour oh no I straight up made a piranha like the fish, giving it an underbite by flipping the head upside down gave it the grubby look I was going for lol
I can't thank you enough! This technique is wonderful! There are many characters who would be so cute with their mouth open. You even made me laugh when you moved the mouth open and closed. 😆 I would love to make other people laugh the same way, so I'm going to try this and will let you know how it turns out! Thank you again! 🙏🤗💖
Thank you for your tutorial, I opened your page and as a result I have subscribed to your channel, looking forward to learning Ami through your channel ,, thank you 🦋🧶🥰
This is amazing! I need to make one quite a bit bigger but I can't seem to figure it out. Do you have any videos/patterns for exactly this only about 3 times the size?
No, I'm sorry I don't. But you can try doubling up on yarn and crocheting it double stranded or using a chunkier yarn and that should help get you to a larger size. If you wanted you can even triple strand but the doll will get pretty hard and it might be tough on your hands. Best of luck to you!
Thank you so much!! I'm trying to figure out how to do a Kermit the puppet amigurumi by searching for different body parts tutorial... so far everything's going good!!
I want to make a kermit plush with this pattern, yet i also want to make the tip of the mouth a bit more pointy than round. Do you have any ideas or tips on how i can do that? This is a very adorable pattern btw!
hi! i thought id just let you know that the steps on the written pattern aren't the same as the steps in this video. I'm not sure if you intended on them being like that, but for example, for the head, for round 3, the stitches dont add up to 18 sc in the end.
I love your videos but this open mouth tutorial is great! I wondered if you would consider creating a tutorial for hand puppets?! There must be a way to incorporate these cute faces into a unicorn or other character. thanks for all your videos!
Hello from Mexico, I just suscribe your chanel, love what you did , i saw you show a amigurumi of Stitich from Disney, Did you made a tutorial of that amigurumi? i really wanna do it. Thanx
Make sure your tension is good and also that your loops don't get too large. You can also look up the invisible decrease to try and make your holes be smaller. Good luck!
Here's a playlist of all my Open Mouth Amigurumi series:

I wish I would have found you yesterday before making a Pac-Man. Your tutorial is super easy! Thank you!!!!❤
I love it so much but i have a question if i want to make it bigger how can I double the pattern?
Easiest way would be to use thicker yarn and a bigger hook size.
Thank you!!
Hi I’m trying to make this head for the stitch and you said to change colors, do you have a tutorial for how to change colors?
I love that adorable dinosaur Its So cute!! 😊❤

Me encantó a pesar q no entiendo tú idioma trataré de hacerlo👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love your videos! How do you change colors for the kilo and Stitch head? I’m not sure at what point should I change colors. Thank you!!
Hi, for a Lilo and Stitch head, you will change colors at Round 8.
Wow q bonita idea me gusta mucho, gracias me va servir para mis proyectos.
Super tutorial. I'm new to amigurumi, so this will help me a lot!

Thank you for this "video" tutorial... I wasn't able to figure this out without the visual instructions. Thanx so much...
Glad it was helpful! 😄
love this video! the only part i don’t understand is what loops to single crochet through when seeing the mouth shut?
Thanks! Are you talking about the part of the mouth where you fold in half and then single crochet across the line? If so there are no loops there, and you just need to stick your hook in between the stitches so it goes below the fabric, if that makes sense. Oh thanks for catching that on the written pattern! It's been corrected now and the stitches should be able to add up to 18 now.
