absolutely love to watch these videos of Jane and Ann!!! the instruction is perfect, fun, and humorous! thank you so much for the proper eating recipes and directions for proper eating!!! this has helped me tremendously with my hypertension and my medication reduction! love you guys!!!
Would love to have a recipe for that eggplant dish! Meanwhile, I really appreciate the attention to technique for the flatbread. Haven't tried one with millet flour before - off to the Indian market I go!
Jane your mom makes the show. I love to watch her, she is so humble and precious. The flat bread looked amazing and you all inspire me to try it. Thank you
I totally vote to have that eggplant dish features on a future video. Please! 🙂 I have a cast iron tortilla press, which I am going to try using for the flatbread. After I save up to buy the flour.. hugely expensive where I live.. oh my!
That Eggplant dish looked so good. I had a recipe where you roast the eggplant with garlic cloves and a chili pepper shoved into slits and you roast the eggplant until it chars and you can peel off the skin (like you do bell peppers). And then you mash it it and mix it with sauteed onions and chopped tomatoes and add spices. I don't know if it's the same. It's pretty yummy. Hopefully you'll have Koyan back to show us how to make the Eggplant dish.
Oh wow, what a recipe :D suuuuch a great demonstration as well :)! So cool to learn about rotla, and all the tools and history/culture around it as well :) thank you so much
Hi Jane, thanks for sharing all those vegan dishes. I am vegan from last 5 years and going strong. I love watching dishes you make and also the dishes your guest make.
This was excellent. More recipes with Korean please, she is great, works well with your two beautiful ladies. Exciting that she makes Indian food that follows your guidelines. Thanks for this.
Thank you Coyene? Not sure of spelling as you were never officially acknowledged. You were so patient in the setting. Not the easiest, you were very patient and gracious.
For anyone wondering about the eggplant dish, it's called 'ringan no odho' in Gujarati, if you can't find any recipes with that then use the Hindi translation called 'baingan ka bharta' :)
Thank you so much for inspiring me to cook such wonderful dishes. Just a FYI the Bajri flour tested that it is NOT gluten free. It possibility might be to shared equipment. Just thought I'd pass this along to my fellow Celiacs. I am undaunted though, and can't wait to rework this to be gluten free. Thank you again
You gals are a hoot! lol I can imagine in India they would make these by the dozens in no time and every day. Great fun, and I'll be looking for Bajri flour soon.
I made the falafel & lemon tahini sauce for dinner. It was amazing! I recommended your cookbook to my family doctor the other day, he is plant based too!
Not sure how easy it will be to find this pearl millet flour in my town. Do you know how it would turn out ok if I used regular millet flour? I would love to try this recipe. Thank you for the video.
Loved the rotlo recipe. I would’ve put at least 20 Indian dishes that are way too easier to cook, equally tasty and provides opportunities to eat veggies+grains and not need some technique other than sauté and cooking. So I’d really love your viewers to experience healthier Indian food
OK so to get them to puff each and every time, when you make that last flip, give it 20 seconds, and then push on it very gently, and for at least five seconds at a time… good luck

Ann just had that magic tough on her Rotlo! So amazing to see Indian Cuisine on this channel ❤
Wow - great video and guest!
Would love to learn how to make that eggplant dish and more south Asian recipes from her.
Thank you!

Just ordered some millet flour. Eager to try this with hummus!

You can buy the bajri millet and grind it yourself. I pay about 5.00 for the bag. Find an Indian store, because to buy online there are theives
We/my family make rotla without salt and it tastes the best. The natural sweetness from the millet is so good.
Jane cracks me up she’s all over the kitchen cooking with laughter & turning off burners😆

I can't wait to make that. Have to go to the Indian grocery. Thank you Koyen!
That was wonderful. More blooper cam videos please!
Needs 5 min of kneading likely to be sure the flour is evenly hydrated. As opposed to letting it sit after adding the water and mixing. Yes?
You gals are a hoot! lol I can imagine in India they would make these by the dozens in no time and every day. Great fun, and I'll be looking for Bajri flour soon.
This video was a lot of fun and very interesting!

Wonderful!🕊
Perhaps the longer kneading helps the grain to hydrate properly
Ladies! Your ENERGY! Love this ❤
What do you call and where can you find the tool Koyen used to press the rotla down (not the rolling pin) - depto?
They start to cook at 4:21. you are welcome.

It's pearl millet flour
Hello from Texas
Is this in your cookbook?
well, I gotta get myself some pearl millet and grind it up!
She's gorgeous.
Will it work without salt

almost like pita bread except using pearl millet flour
OK so to get them to puff each and every time, when you make that last flip, give it 20 seconds, and then push on it very gently, and for at least five seconds at a time… good luck
Hi 💖💖💖
I cook mine on iron pan
I bet it would work well with a tortilla press
Where's zMaria
I normally rave about the recipes but to be honest these were not for me. I found them bitter . I didn't like this flour . Sorry to be negative...
You microwave water? Unsubbed.
very thick dough. and raw cakes turned out. Salt is harmful so said and wrote Gregor Michael
A teaspon of salt in the whole batch won't kill anyone.
she did state that adding dash of salt is optional.
