It's not exactly that, it's more a question of the script and of the humans that people wanted, I'm so good in this film that if I hadn't seen Godzilla it would still be good.
Soon, Godzilla Minus One will follow us everywhere we go. In the awesomest way possible. And now, Godzilla Minus One is THE Toho Godzilla film. #GodzillaMinusOne
Not surprised it's number 1 on Netflix it's a great movie and one thing I would like to see dangerville go over is the minus one godzillasaurus in its own breakdown video.
Me and my mom love Godzilla! When I told her about Minus One, she said that she’ll watch it with me on streaming. We finally watched it over the weekend, and it was amazing! I can see why it is the best Godzilla movie! With Minus One and Monsterverse getting more attention, I’d say this is a good year to celebrate the King of the Monsters!
Every japanese godzilla movie gets this kind of hype. Shin godzilla was the same before everyone forgot about it. Minus one is a good movie but i think the hatred of all things hollywood is playing a big part.
@@MrBlazinerday Shin Godzilla performed well in Japan and among Godzilla fans but didn't impress general audiences. On the other hand, Minus One was a hit across the board, winning over Japanese audiences, Godzilla fans, and general audiences, making it an even bigger success than Shin Godzilla.
Just saw this movie, I suprised myself how it held my attention reading the subtitles and the film holding my attention for the entire film. It was a great throwback to the classic.
I watched the dub on Netflix, bought the digital copy, and I will get the physical releases too, 4k uhd, bluray, and dvd.... I hope we get a collectors steenbok too.
Takashi Yamazaki DID a Great job for making Godzilla minus one successful and Plus I prefer Godzilla being a antagonist/Villain as What Godzilla originally was
This movie is great and I loved seeing it in theaters! I’m happy to be able to watch it at home now. I would love to have a video game that focuses on Godzilla and the other titans from Toho and the MonsterVerse.
I haven’t bought a digital movie in a year+ but I got the B&W G-1.0. There were a few times I cried again seeing this for the second time. I was thinking ‘what’s wrong with me’ but the character story just completely touches my heart. DON’T TELL MY FRIENDS! Haha.
@@carson21211shin is great too but minus one has it beat. You kno what i was thinking, i was thinking it be cool if they lead the next minus one into shin somehow. or go off the idea of sequel they wanted to do for shin
Yep, I got all giddy when I saw an ad on Netflix. It seemed out of the blue. I too watched it again this weekend. One thing to note, since you mentioned the subtitles, is that they fixed some erroneous subtitles in the Netflix version. In the theater people constantly referred to the plane as a "Jet". They have fixed this to be "Fighter". It seems there were a couple other bits that seemed to flow better with the wording, but the "jet" was the one that stood out most to me.
I watched this movie in black and white in Japan in Japanese. I really enjoyed my night out and then watching in color the other day just blew me away how awesome this movie was. Yep you're right it was a nice change to have a movie that had some realism to it. Funny I walked out that night early because I had to catch the train home. I got to see the parts I missed. I also got to visit the Godzilla in Shibya and took some awesome pics, Loved my experience in Japan and looking forward to going back one day.
From being a Godzilla fan for many years. This is the film that you never wanna miss. Trust me, top-notch top tier Godzilla movie. watched it with my daughter yesterday. She even loved it more than Godzilla VS Kong Empire 😅
I've been waiting to see it so I was extremely pleasantly surprised to see it pop up on Netflix just out of the blue. I loved it - but it did not seem like a real Godzilla movie. It just seemed like a really really good character driven redemption story. I love the G-man, but Shikishima's redemption arc was more compelling than the monster action. To me, it seemed like Godzilla was more of a highly suspenseful plot device than the main character. Anyway, I loved it! It was a real movie and not an CGI driven monsterfest.... ...and that blood curdling scream by Shikishima in the black rain, after he lost Noriko, was one of the most impactful and emotional scenes I've ever seen in any move. I absolutely LOVED it!!!
I saw it on Netflix with my mother. I wanted to see it in Japanese, but my mom preferred to watch it in Spanish. It wasn't that bad, but it felt sacrilegious to watch Minus One in another language.
I did watch the new Godzilla on my fire stick TV both of them were great hopefully they will get sequels for Godzilla minus one and that America Godzilla film sequel as well if Adam isn't returning to direct another Godzilla solo film then who will direct the new Godzilla film for Godzilla x Kong the new empire sequel and Godzilla minus one
Don't hold your breath waiting for the region 1 Blu-ray release. The fact that it's been sold to Netflix means that it will probably never be released on Blu-ray in North America. Or are you still waiting for the Godzilla Earth trilogy, the Shinkalion movie, or Godzilla: Singular Point to be released in region 1? (I eventually had to buy the Malaysian DVDs because the Japanese versions didn't have English subtitles.)
i didn't even know it was on Netflix i normally just watch youtube in my free time but yesterday was pretty slow so I gave Netflix a chance for once and was not disappointed that movie is actually really dope i also watched the 2014 Godzilla too
So Happy they finally put Minus One on Netflix, finally got to enjoy the movie in my bedroom with surround sound, and out of respect for the culture of the country, I watched it in the original Japanese language with subtitles
guys we did it we did it i knew we could. I cant wait for next movie glad they are not rushing it too. we need such a great character base game so badly - a game sort of like minus one. You get to play japanese characters, and even as godzilla himself too. They need to make it with excellent graphics too.
Yup, watched it in dub as I had seen it 3 times in theaters subtitled. I just wanted to see if it was done well, and I was surprised, it didn't suck!! Wasn't the best, but was serviceable...lol.
I’m actually highly annoyed it went straight to Netflix. Nobody will buy it now. I was hoping a physical release would force a few hands to buy it on blu ray/4K.
I actually think that now the MV may be in a position good enough to give Godzilla his OWN movie. But DO NOT wait too long, like they did with KOTM. Strike while the iron is hot! Just bring Michael Dougherty back, perhaps you can use Yamazaki as a creative consultant on the film. But does Minus One really need a sequel? May be it is one of those films that is best 'one and done' and then do another more fantastical Toho reboot instead?
I wouldn't mind if Toho would produce a Gojira film where he is a guardian of the world like the Shōwa era. That being said, ANYTHING Toho produces regarding the "King of the Monsters", I am always on board.
What made this movie really good is that the Human story was very interesting. Though I did feel how they got him in the end was a little wha wha… but that’s my opinion.
I think there's still plenty of us who were surprised that we were gonna get Minus One streaming this soon. Still it is awesome that we are half way through the year and the Godzilla train still hasn't stopped! This is truly the peak for monster fans so far and I can only hope that Toho and Legendary are not gonna mess up this great opportunity.
Got to say visually I was amazed but man i was board they went back into shin Godzillas mistakes of board meeting after the another just one is enough to announce Godzilla
Ive watched this movie 8 or 9 times. It doesnt get boring for me. The original theatrical version is better than the English Dub in my opinion. You get to feel the actors emotions through their tone of voice, taking that away, made the English version a step below to me. Greeeaaatt movie though, definitely in my top 5 of Godzilla movies.
