Congrats on 5k! I think something that could be a good video idea for the future is a live battle report where you take the time to walk through the decisions you make in the game. You could do it as often as you want and then be able to have guests either from your local clubs or people that specialize other armies. War dog Will!
Just recently got into Warhammer 40k, my first army ever is Death Guard. This channel has been very nice for helping me start. I am just like you Dave, I did not build my own army, unfortunately I just don't care for that part of the hobby.

On the spam argument - for me as someone who've played mainly DG and sisters this edition i feel like BiD and aAssasinate as fixed options have kept some listbuilding in line cause you dont wanna give up free secondaries if you can avoid it, cull the horde might have a similr effect but some lists still go all in idk
Balance wise, it seems the number 18 is the issue. 18 Wraiths. 18 Admech Breachers. 18 Thunderwolf Cav. 18 Deathshroud Terminators. 18 Ironstriders, etc...

Any plague marines have tips for playing against Tau? I have a 1500 point game on Thursday :) I run two plague marine squads in rhinos (one 10-man with FB+BP, two 5s with double MPC), two PBC, two FBD, one predator destructor, ten cultists, and a single unit of nurglings
Just thinking about the Force org part of the episode. What if non Battle line units increased in cost the more that you took? So that you incentived to take more diverse lists.

Im glad the force org has gone, there are better ways to encourage balanced lists. As you said, competitive play has always been a bit spammy, nature of the beast.

The 18 wraiths list is a huge negative play experience as is but then add in a bad player to it and it becomes a nightmare. I played a tournament after the dataslate into 18 wraiths, still OP add to that my opponent was rude, kept moving the board with his belly, a slow player, going for a vape every 30minutes and didn't fully understand the mission and incorrectly calculated my points it was the worst game of my life.
sorry to hear that, at tournaments its important to treat your opponent with respect they have like you paid and travelled to be there.

Sounds like the green tide player got some very unlucky save rolls to be wiped out so completely and quickly.
yes and no, he was -1 or -2 hit all the time and being t6 on my termies with -1W on attacks over S6 was brutal
