Maybe you don't play fighting games, but getting upset is literally part of the culture, nobody sits there and says "oh thank you good sir for the defeat, please may I have another?", you say "your mom is fat and you suck", that's just how it is.
@@Pax_Mayn3 It's not that he wasn't a guy with connections, I'm saying compared to everyone else that was a big name that he worked with, he was immature and made a fool of himself a pretty good number of times, especially the fact that lots of people never wanted to ever watch him play, they watched him for his personality and his rage. He was always just sub-par.
Compared to Justin Wong here, I watch Modern Justin because he's always been Justin Wong. I don't watch modern Mike Ross because up until recently, he was Mike Ross
@@sunzet4640 Justin Wong is a try hard, he always play top tiers though. Sounds like a personal problem, the channel was literally about him playing the game. Nobody wants to watch a "mature" fighting game player, if I wanted that I could just take an ambien. It's not impressive for me to see someone who plays 8 hours a day and uses only broken stuff to win. It's impressive to see a "normal" player beat those types of people.

when Mike Ross talked about war of the worlds radio from the 1930's, I went waaay back in time. Still one of the coolest concepts for it's time (& even now tbh). Mike Ross is a big reason I wanted to be a part of the FGC & I know there's a lot of us 09ers who feel the same way.

Can we all just appreciate Mike being back. There were several years where he totally left the public eye and I for one love seeing him again.
Mike is and will always be the real one. Him talking about sf3 is facts. I remember walking up to the cabinet, putting in a quarter in, looked at the roster, saw only Ken and Ryu, and immediately walked off. Like he said it didn't become "hype" or "God tier" until the moment happened.
Will never forget Mike and Combofiend's running sets. So great. Thanks Mike and Justin!

Whoever edits this series always hits the deep cuts with the throw back ost choices. I've teared up twice in almost every video. The conversation flowing with the music takes me back to another time and yearn for those days of playing again.

Mike Ross you NEED to watch Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Based on your liked animes I'd say you'd dig it. It's only 10 episodes and it's completely wrapped up at the end. It's dark, it's flashy, it's great.

Like 200 years ago I ran into Mike in 2 back to back Dota 2 matches it was wild lol. He was on my team the first game which was how I knew it was him cause he was on the mic and next I was vs him. Great interview though it was a lot of fun!
