I feel Justin does a great job when having to use a translator to relay information to someone, Breaks his sentences into segmented ideas, ones easy to convey, and avoids using colloquialisms especially ones that are niche even in american subcultures, which I see a lot of FG personalities end up doing when talking to a foreigner. Like when Sonicfox was telling DBFZ devs something was OD... Like when Justin asked about any hidden content the community has yet to find, he said it that way, rather than calling them 'Easter Eggs', like the translator does. That's exactly how it should be, really great stuff Justin. Edit: WHat I mean by the sonicfox example is, yeah, it's easy to tell someone what OD means, you have to remember the translator might not be tapped into the FGC and shit. So if you have to then tell your translator what you mean, so then they can then translate it : 1. They may not even ask what OD means, for whatever reason, and mistranslate it or just ignore you said it. 2. You just added another translator into the conversation, youre playing Telephone at this point
I'm more annoyed by the fact that you yourself haven't explained what "OD" means. 🤣 Justin says it all the time in his videos, so I assumed, in context, that it's a synonym for "overpowered" or "godlike".

Same here. I have a major soft spot for 4 and 3.. but 6 is just incredible. When all is said and done I think it's the highest quality fighting game ever created.
To me the game seems very tough. The combos are too strong, the drive things are incredibly strong too (only the perfect parry seems not to be this strong), and the projectile game may be too strong too but, what is worse, is command grab, I do not know if it is me but, they seems to be so much worse than in any other game... It really is hard to me... Other than this, the game is nice, I like the ambiance and others. Ah, and if they could bring some mix to the game, like in 3s, it would be so good.
Same for me. I loved the game from the start, but I still missed the old games. But the game grew on me to the point it's clearly my favorite FG of all time now. I love every mode. The tremendous work Capcom put in the game can be felt everywhere. It's amazing.

The fact that SF6 devs are absolutely open for a CVS3 is music to my ears. And we already know Oda from SNK also said the same thing a few years ago. Hopefully after City of the Wolves is released they'll announce a CVS3 shortly after.
That time makes no sense though, because SF6 will probably have 2 more seasons, maybe 3... And SNK would never agree with those terms and literally ruin FF. If a new crossover happen it will be later, near the end of both game's updates.

In a previous interview one of them stated thst their favorite SF is Alpha 2 and from that point forward I knew this game was in good hands. Now hearing how much they love the CvS games has me even more excited for the future.
@@bobby45825 I have great memories of playing Alpha 3 with my dad on the PS1. SF6 feels like an homage to the Alpha series mechanically, especially stuff like Drive Reversals (Alpha Counters) and Drive Rush being a toned down version of custom combo. I love it.
Next time you should direct a question specifically to Matsumoto-san about why is he constantly dressed as a dancer and I want him to lay his entire dancing career BARE bruh. As always, great interview!
Talking about music / jukebox, what I hope the most is for them to bring the tracks from SFEX series into the game (if ARIKA allows it). Also, they could bring the OSTs from some less known ports of Super Turbo like the PC and 3DO version, both have small differences, but their CD quality is top tier. And before I forget, there is a plethora of Capcom owned IP just standing there waiting to get their OSTs in SF6: Rival Schools / Project Justice, Star Gladiator / Plasma Sword, Mega Man (I would love if they give X series 4 to 8 OSTs some love), Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, Captain Commando, Final Fight, Resident Evil (OG RE2 Scenario B credits song is a banger), Pocket Fighter, Super Puzzle Fighter, the list goes on.
Actually it's been a long time since i think Capcom at this point could have approached Arika and buy the EX chars permanently, not as a limited time deal like normal guest chars. Many of them are great chars and they are tragically sentenced to obscurity because Arika has no means to expand FEXL (as a franchise) in the near future and make it a competitive product. Especially in the current generation of SF6, TK8, and SNK and Arcsys in constant growth. So Capcom needed to assimilate those chars permanently in SF to shelter and preserve them. In the same sense that SF saved Final Fight chars from obscurity, that would have happened after the 90s. Nowadays there is a decent portion of SF fans who love those FF chars, as much as SF veterans, and got to know them from SF first, because they didn't grow with FF games. That is only because SF started sheltering FF. And the same could happen to EX chars if they are sheltered in SF from a certain point onwards.
Great interview! An SF6 anime would be great, the SF2 anime has yet to be topped IMO. So it would be nice to see something modern and including SF3 characters also
very good interview. i dont know if it was the translator but from translation they seemed a lot more eager to do something CvS related than i expected. regarding the older games, i wish they gave the 30th anniversary sf collection the same love they gave to capcom fighting collection. something as basic as training mode and online for all games is missing in the sf collection which is bummer. it seems they learned when they did the capcom fighting collection but unfortunately didn't retroactively add those features to the SF collection.
It’s because Capcom outsourced it to Digital Eclipse. That’s why we don’t get further updates. The Capcom fighting collection was done by Capcom themselves. That’s why it has more care. Best we can hope is another collection for 2027, with Capcom actually doing the SF games themselves. I wanna play Alpha 2 online so bad (don’t like Fightcade).
That's two interviews with these two where they both respond with answers that just leave me so excited for the future of 6. They actually look excited and invested in making this the best modern Street Figther and what amazing questions Justin!
I think its probably 50/50 tbh. I'm the only person I know who liked svc: chaos. I would love to see them impliment the systems from more recent past sf games similarly to how it was done in cvs2. Immagine being able to pick between having vskill and vtrigger or fadc and ultra or drive rush and drive reversal. Sure it would be all over the place and hard to balance, but it would be incredible to see snk characters, and capcom guests (*cough* leon, haggar *cough) doing this stuff.
It has high chances of happening. But it would be better not risk frustrating yourself if you start believing that will happen next year. It won't. Because Capcom and SNK will still be very busy with each ones main franchises, and everyone knows a CvS3 game will steal all attentions.
If we pay attention we can realize all veteran fg franchises have potential to have an anime series, but companies just neglect that potential... And for a long time, since all these veteran franchises are around 30 years already. The more notable ones like Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, etc... And smaller ones like Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Samurai Shodown, Last Blade, etc. And Mortal Kombat could have a long running cartoon series. Like, I know some of those games actually got an anime or manga once, but many were small projects, some not even that serious. But what I mean is a serious anime/manga series, or a serious anime movie.
You did great Jwong asking the hard hitting questions. Everything in Street Fighter 6 I really do love the World Tour, Battle Hub, Training grounds it's the most fun I had in any SF game and that includes 3rd Strike. And I do hope with the idea of Street Fighter anime come to fruition cause I would love to see that whether it's a series or movie. And given how successful SF6 is I'm hoping it relives around it and with the new characters like Kimberly, Jaime & Luke who is the new protag. Also surprised you didn't ask them to bring back your old main Rufus back in game lol.
Godlike interview! I hope they decide to release Rival Schools on modern systems. Rival Schools is one the most underrated fighting games in history...grew up playing it on PSX! Great memories...keep up the good work Justin
For a Capcom vs SNK collection I would like to see: - Cacpom vs SNK - Capcom vs SNK Pro - Capcom vs SNK 2 - Capcom vs SNK 2 EO And maybe a bonus SvC Chaos: SNK vs Capcom And I would buy it on the Big 3 and PC just to support.
*Justin* - I wished you went a lot deeper in the Balancing question in terms of what are their strategies to balance the game further, especially as SF6 seems to be quite tier dependant as proven in the series of tier ranking charts created by many Pro Gamers and UA-camrs. The idea of this question is to push the team to try and get everyone more equal as it's clear some serious favourites are coasting too high in the S / A+ Tier category when they shouldn't, hence push for balance. Another important thing I would have loved for them to address is when they will fix the hitbox that is causing lack of high, mid and low definitions. For example: Deejay drive rushed with a standing light punch which caused a move clash against Ken who did a low medium sweep. This is a huge problem because the light punch was very far and clear above Ken's head, i.e., it makes no sense why a double clash occurred. This type of issue frequently happens in the game, and fixing them would massively improve the gameplay in form of allowing players to forge more logical strategies as oppose from "reacting". Lastly, I wish you asked on whether they have any plans to insert any Dynamic music in the game's jukebox. Dynamic music OST in SF games started from SF3, but unfortunately, SF3, 4 and 5 music tracks in SF6 don't feature any of the Dynamic music tracks like its SF6 tracks. Also, I would love to have SF EX1 music (Ryu's EX1 and Ken's EX2 music are great), and the SF4 (love the Construction stage music) & 5 Vol 3 Stage music for they are the ones SF music track. I would have love to have learned when those OSTs could be arriving - maybe they could provide a jukebox music release schedule? Crossing fingers you would be able to ask those questions next time for those are some of the most important questions to ask as one improve quality of life, another enhances the gameplay, and the other promotes fairness.
@@PlasmaSnake369 It was my understanding that THESE GUYS share that sentiment, a LOT, but it's the bigwigs at Capcom above them who don't seem to get that it would bring in ALL the money. DX
Cvs1 and Cvs2 remakes and online would be sick af on next Gen consoles and PC! Knowing both of them are also bigtime SNK fans, then it's just a matter of time when will CVS3 be coming out! 🙏👌😀
Online on every fighting game that’s already out playable easy unbelievable quick match making bringing easy access to allow a game any version or console to revive the player amounts back for match making fun tournaments money matches!!! 👍🥢🥋
But would the school life mode finally make it across the states? Making your own avatar go through an in-game year of Japanese high school to raise it and make it fight-ready, repeat a couple of times and send your team of custom characters online to fight in avatar battles. And they have SF6's World Tour to use as a base. And judging from the pre-made custom characters in the non-JP versions of the previous games things can get pretty insane.
I would have liked to ask them about Kimberly’s Hidden variable. The move doesn’t have different properties like other moves. Was that an oversight? L,M,H buttons all do the same thing. The only difference is her over drive (ex version.) It would be a nice change for her, to incorporate different properties for her move. Also give her 3 spray cans.
4:45 if there is a CVS 3 I would like for their to actually be team members from both corporations involved in this one game not just Capcom not just SNK but the teams that are currently working on the Fatal Fury and the team that worked on the kof 15 along side of the street fighter 6 crew
Really glad you brought up Rival schools I feel like we’re overdue for a new Rivals schools but I feel like we’re closer to getting one great interview overall though🙂↕️👍
Wish I was in your shoes. I would of suggested them to make another fighting collection with online but have a lobby format like sf6. Hell just make the lobby and allow pre set up with the already existing game when you request a match in the lobby. To be a fly on the wall
I'm really hoping they add WAY more of their titles. For the retro cabs, in the battle hub cause they have way more games. Then the 5-6 we've had since the game dropped. Need 3rd strike in there, the 1st mvc, Power stone. Like you said too the 3D titles. Hell even the Alien vs Predator game they had back in the 90s.
All these japanese fgc developers are really showing the idea of a rising tide lifts all boats. All the collabs and sharing audience and overall growing fgc fandom. I feel like harada spear headed it somehow. Like all the old guys got out the way and the adults who grew up as fans are now in charge. CVSNK 3 baybee!!!!!
It sounded like they said there's no chance in hell of them adding Rival Schools to the battle hub and then the translator was like "thank you we'll take that into consideration"
Great interview man. But I was hoping they could address the Super Street Fighter 6 rumor. I only want to know because Sagat, C.Viper and Mokato are rumored to be released in that to make up for that long gap between DLC after Terry?
So were they up to the idea of releasing a CVS collection or doing CvS3? It came off like they were up for doing CvS3 than a CVS collection. Also you should've asked them if they were going to return special intros between characters or at the very least if they're going to Introduce those awesome intros between Ken/Terry and Chun li/Mai.
love to see another street fighter anime(with how the animated movies final battle singer was brought back would love it in the animated movies style/similar in structure to 2v.:3) as i feel 6 could've done some animation for it's arcade.
One thing I'd like to see is an SF3: Third Strike remake/remaster kind of thing. Keep the original gameplay and character roster, but give it higher res graphics, an SF6-style training room, and all the other bonus QoL stuff that we get with newer games. They might not get a $100 Ultimate Edition out of that, but I bet they could sell some copies to SF fans.
I took importing into my own hands when I saw something that tickled my fancy. If I were to wait for many of those items to get a state release, I wouldn’t haven’t the majority of the items I own now.
Damn an SF6 anime would be wild. It would probably do well and if they have a story they want to tell, it would be probably better for them to do it in an anime instead of a story mode like SFV
I also would hope that if a deal is made SNK would make profit out of it. It will be a serious conversation that if both of them will make a fighting game, who will release first or will they release it almost at the same time. It would still be nice to see capcom make a team fighter while SNK will make a 1v1. Capcom would obviously make it more SFvKOF while SNK can experiment with different characters to make it interesting.
Lets hope they merge Rival Schools and Arika characters from the EX plus Alpha series! Would love to see C. Jack , Skullomania , and Garuda in the game!
As an action figure collector, I have to say Jada Toys is doing an excellent job of manufacturing the Ultra Street Fighter 2 characters at the $24.99 price point for the normal sized figures. While one can argue that Storm Collectibles or SH Figuarts make better SF figures, Jada USF2 figures are a great value and have good sculpts and articulation for that price point. Plus they are committed to completing the entire roster of USF2 which means the original 17 fighters. No toy company so far has accomplished this with Street Fighter as action figures.
Sounds like whoever can get those arcade games to work on battlehub might have a high spot in Capcom's team. Hopefully they can get the right talent to implement it. Would make it so much more engaging than now.
Great job Jay I'm really surprised that you didn't ask them about why highs are beating Low's and where's Alex at? Lol 😂😂😂 but this was a great Q&A bro keep up the great work Son
Would love to see online MP in the Gamecenter, but since those are just emulated ROMs, building in MP would be massive effort. I'm not sure if it would be worth it. What I _would_ like, at least, is if we got another, proper SF collection. Not just ROM dumps, but actual ports. More collections like _Street Fighter Alpha Anthology_ on PS2, thanks. And yes to more games in the Gamecenter, including stuff like Rival Schools.
Great interview Justin! I wish there was a question about the current state of neutral drive rush and so many people complaining the game becomes super monkey unga bunga, and if they were considering adjusting to stop DR spam..
I really want them to let us change the character select music in SF6, it's the thing I hate most about the game and I'd love nothing more than to use the 3rd strike one, it's the 1 thing I wanted out of the music update.
I’m sorry, but Justin MIGHT be an even BETTER content creator and interviewer than he is a pro fighting game player! Considering he’s a legend in the FGC, those are big words. Keep it up Justin, we love you man!🔥

I hope we at least get a SF6 anime movie.
It's coming @@coolman5242
Rivals School in the thumbnail sounds like a school where you find your rival
You must be young 😅
@@The_Humble_Hurricane im not, its misspelled
Man, you were about to make me feel really, REALLY old. XD I needed that laugh, though!
@@Sasuke416 believe me someone thinking that the series is so old I don’t know what it is makes me feel ancient LOL
@@The_Humble_Hurricane you implying that bro is still in school cuz he noticed that typo?😂
Nj Justin. These guys should be very proud of thier game, and thier community relations. If i was a developer i would be taking notes.
It would require some extra handshakes, but I sure would love to hear SF EX+a music in the game.
Mastumoto-san styling with that fisherman's hat and the jinco sized khakis! 😆Thanks Justin, Mastumoto-san, Nakayama-san! Great interview!
Godlike interview! I hope they decide to release Rival Schools on modern systems. Rival Schools is one the most underrated fighting games in history...grew up playing it on PSX! Great memories...keep up the good work Justin
Wow this interview was great, thanks jwong!!
Nice one with the video bro. 👌
Great interview Justin you're UA-cam is really coming together nicely
For a Capcom vs SNK collection I would like to see:
- Cacpom vs SNK
- Capcom vs SNK Pro
- Capcom vs SNK 2
- Capcom vs SNK 2 EO
And maybe a bonus SvC Chaos: SNK vs Capcom
And I would buy it on the Big 3 and PC just to support.
You forgot the best one: Snk vs Capcom: Match of the Millennium
Awww you were so nervous bro! First time seeing you like this! Thanks for the great interview.
I hope a cvs collection happens I would definitely get it on my switch
We need new rival schools!!!! Its one of my all time favorites series. rival school and project justice are incredible games, cmon capcom.
100% yes!!!
Rival Schools for the WIN!✊🏿💯🙌🏿🔥
They don't seem to share the sentiment
@@PlasmaSnake369 It was my understanding that THESE GUYS share that sentiment, a LOT, but it's the bigwigs at Capcom above them who don't seem to get that it would bring in ALL the money. DX
I need a Kimberly figure or statue now that we finally have some Guy merchandise coming.
Cvs1 and Cvs2 remakes and online would be sick af on next Gen consoles and PC!
Knowing both of them are also bigtime SNK fans, then it's just a matter of time when will CVS3 be coming out! 🙏👌😀
Would love a Rival Schools return, so fun!
Yezzirrrrrr! Been waiting for decades. Let's start a petition 🙌🏿💯
Same here
Online on every fighting game that’s already out playable easy unbelievable quick match making bringing easy access to allow a game any version or console to revive the player amounts back for match making fun tournaments money matches!!! 👍🥢🥋
Yezzir, 1,000x Yes---
More Rival Schools ftw
But would the school life mode finally make it across the states?
Making your own avatar go through an in-game year of Japanese high school to raise it and make it fight-ready, repeat a couple of times and send your team of custom characters online to fight in avatar battles.
And they have SF6's World Tour to use as a base. And judging from the pre-made custom characters in the non-JP versions of the previous games things can get pretty insane.
Ok he wasn't lying this 3DO Akuma theme is hard
matsumoto-san forever stays dripped outta his damn mind
Runs away to find out what the 3do version of akumas theme is like
Brother, Precious Heart in the background. The EX OSTs are a must.
A CVS2 release for modern consoles in the vein of 3rd strike online edition would be a day 1 purchase for me.
Shoutout to Nakayama for the secret OST tech. I had no idea about the 3DO version of the SSF2T soundtrack.
Definitely worth looking up.
What Justin should have asked was what are the chances of us getting a Power Stone 3!
4:45 if there is a CVS 3 I would like for their to actually be team members from both corporations involved in this one game not just Capcom not just SNK but the teams that are currently working on the Fatal Fury and the team that worked on the kof 15 along side of the street fighter 6 crew
Having subtitles rather than after each response translation would make this more watchable
19:50 That's exactly what people are begging for, Stage themes from SF4 and 5
Bro thats a good question to ask about snk vs capcom 2. You were eager to ask it too LOL.
Agree
So hype for Terry in SF6. He's my main in Garou and I play him in a lot of KoF games and also in CVs2. Can't wait.
Look at Justin going places !
Really glad you brought up Rival schools I feel like we’re overdue for a new Rivals schools but I feel like we’re closer to getting one great interview overall though🙂↕️👍
Next time, please ask them if they will ever add special intro animations. Lile in Third Strike or Capcom vs SNK
What a pleasant video, love the humble vibes❤
Those guys are fans of the SF franchise. Imagine being able to work on something you like and being this successful.
Nakayama mentioned Lupin III, nice! :)
I’d love an SF6 anime omg
You asked alll the right questions! Thank you Justin-San
Would love to see more 3rd Strike representation and another boxer Dudley
They definitely knew the one interviewing them was the legendary _Let's go Justin!!!_
Justin, thank you for asking the right questions. You're the real mvp 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great interview man. But I was hoping they could address the Super Street Fighter 6 rumor. I only want to know because Sagat, C.Viper and Mokato are rumored to be released in that to make up for that long gap between DLC after Terry?
Great interview Justin
I played SF 2T on my 3dO hours of getting wrecked by shin akuma loo
I would be down for an SF6 anime.
Appreciate the transparency 🔥
Wong with the content
Shouts out to the Smug getting beat up footage....respect to Duff City....
Would immediately buy a decent modern version of A3 Max, Rival Schools, etc - but i'd lose my mind if they ever released a proper version of Hyper SFA
Thanks man , a love your content
