This was explained in good detail. Answered some questions and problems I've been having. Still have a question tho. If the opponent gets both of his butterfly hooks behind the knees then how do I address that? U explained if the opponent gets one of his butter fly hooks behind the knee but not if he got BOTH of them.. This is a issue I'm having still and I am searching for a solution. Thanks for ur time.
i think once you pass that first leg you could cut an angle and knee slice pushing the other leg through with you into that awkward position i forget the technical name of. like the pass bj penn uses then right into mount
idk if you read messages on old videos but if so, I've got your body lock instructional and it is great but I'm really struggling with passing the knee line, idk if its just my really long legs being annoying but it feels like their knee always ends up in my crotch (ouch). How come this video clears the far side hook second when on the instructional it's first and does this tripoding motion make clearing the knee line easier at all?
My friend is really good at attacking the arm from the wizzer / overhook. I understand that I have to stay very tight and keep pressure but I still feel I am in danger or arm and shoulder locks from my partner's overhook when I am in these body lock positions. Any advice to protect against this?
What do you think about the knee-pummeling/active posting (hands beyond the guard players shoulder line) style of pass the butterfly by comparison? This technique requires active legs but locks the hands and locks you into the guard player. I feel like the guard player might have too much access to the passer's upper body (control the triceps?). Thank you Sir
Would you use the same pass in no gi or does the lack of grips your opponent have make something like the double over pass xande does (ua-cam.com/video/ox79o0l6WdU/v-deo.html) a better option?
Yep can do this no gi. Actually I learnt many details for this pass studying Joao Miyao vs Rafael Frietas, which is a no gi match. I suggest watching if you can.
what a coincidence, i had that match queued up about to watch it right now lol ua-cam.com/video/BKRIVxXBTRw/v-deo.html speaking of Freitas, do you ever use the baratoplata?
Thanks for the upload. I’ve been working on this technique but this video answers all the problems I had. Great coaching Lachy
Great pass. Can’t wait to try. Thanks for sharing Lachie

Audio is a bit low/interrupted but good stuff for sure.
