    I built a team of agents to work with. That keep me in good freight i stay east of i 35. I also hual alot of the same freight i do pull alot of direct ship freight as i am leased to a company we have over 200 agents but only work with a dozen i have 4 main agents. I could care less about rpm i look at cost plus time then miles.

    Last time I drove my truck was October 24th. Average rates in Houston were a staggering $1.56/mile. Thankfully I have a newer truck that only costs $1.75/mile to move. Company asked for their equipment and plates back since I kept refusing all that garbage requiring $500 fuel for full gross and $300 pay for 625 miles round trip.

      @@MakeCentsTrucking Sammy, 625 round trip takes me 14 hours if the customer handles their business. The loads are 78k and up hill from Houston in every direction. Usually they don't and I end up overnight in a rest area so I can't do the same trip every day. Lane pays $850 right now. That's $450-$500 just in fuel and DEF. A month of that and it's $300 for filters and $525 for oil. Diffs gets fluids every 6 months. The truck needs to earn $150/day to pay the note, insurance, taxes, tags and ELD equipment not including the fuel and oil. Before I parked the truck, I was getting 2 loads per week. I drive port dray. The shipyards are empty bro. Hard to make a living with very little freight coming in from outside USA.

    Time for a " minimum rate per mile ", like the minimum wage.

      Should be a minimum percentage. Minimum rate would lead to an overall lower paying freight

      @@MrRld1960 Arguing that minimum wage is fluid enough for fair pay is like saying the minimum wage has always been enough pay. It hasn’t and that’s why the minimum wage has always been increasing over the years. A minimum percentage gives everyone a fair piece of the pie

    It's kinda sad that 15 years ago we could find a lot of loads for $3 a mile. Now the cost of living has tripled, the cost of groceries and goods is sky high, the cost of fuel is crazy, yet were still only getting loads for $2.50 to $3 a mile

If you want to keep a good thing going keep your mouth shut about where you got the load, what your hauling and how much it pays. You are training your COMPETITION!

      @@MakeCentsTrucking😂 keep justifying your own demise ... Do you see brokers on UA-cam talking about their juicy lanes? No... Why, coz they don't want to train their competitors... Same thing the guy above said. LOOSE. LIPS. SINKS. RATES... none of these trucking schmucks will "raise their rates" for the greater benefit of everyone. They too busy running to the poor house 😂😂

    • @firstfreightlines750
      @firstfreightlines750 Рік тому +1

      @@vroor32you are clueless. This helps everyone get on the same page. Screw the broker they don't set rates. We do as drivers!!! If everyone says... I'm not moving for anything less than ??? then the broker has no choice but to tell there customers to pay more. If carriers would work together and get on the same page then everyone could make $5 a mile. See this is how corporate ran companies stay in the green. They work together so that one doesn't undercut the other. Then they laugh at us the consumer because we are to desperate to push back on the price. Did you know that years ago you could go into a sears and negotiate prices on anything in the store. But after they figured out that most just paid the asking price they quit allowing it. Then other companies followed sute. Try calling up a corporate company doing a service and negotiate the price. It won't happen. But go to a small business "not corporate" and you can negotiate the price. So before you run that 26 years of experience mouth. Stop and accurately look at the bigger picture!!!
