Much more responsibility is required with hopper bottom and tanker freight. Also some bigger pay for hauling livestock due to animal health and disease of course. Sad but I have hauled some haz mat that did not pay any better than general freight.

Mines always on
1. Over-leveraged. Into the business tipped from jump. Funded with debt rather than profit.
2. Starry eyed. Trying to keep up with the Jones. Bad advice, talked into more debt.
3. Low bid was at one time just common sense. But now seems like a broadening campaign for a cheapy weepy rate market across the board.
4. Lopsided freight to driver ratio, and bidded freight going on the load boards rather than awarded to lowest biddder.
5. Too many greedy hands in the pot. Any entity even remotely affiliated with trucking have raised the cost of operating to difficult and unattainable levels.
6. Milk toast oversight, regulatory and Law enforcement. Blind eye, look the other way. "not my job."
I personally think money was to good a couple years back and people got comfortable/based lifestyle on the good times. Bunch of covid truckers going out
I agree, CB Radio is a very important tool
Hey what’s up bro how are you much love
Smart Business Practices, Staying lean and efficient, Dedication and Persistence....ALL required to be successful at business, which you are 💪🇺🇸✅✅
No offense to anyone but I keep hearing, I make 6-9k a week do you ever count fuel, insurance, lease ect.
I wanted to know do you run recaps for your logs?
Yeah until I don’t have enough to run another load
Do you know where to buy a truck & trailer at the “right” price and how much is that ?
I thought the more loads you cover for a broker the more money he would pay on next load. However to my surprise it's exactly opposite. The more you book the more they take you for granted. 😢
Where are you getting insurance for $700 a month?
Check description and call my guy Matt 👊
Insurance is the big killer right now.....708 a week...course csa took a pretty good hit earlier in the year right before renewal
Yeah ins can be insane
Time to park it!
708 a week.... Holly cow... mine is 1100 a month
People going broke because they haul cheap freight..
I run my radio( ex bullhauler)
Games... not on my phone... but I do play virtual reality games.. love vr airplanes
I bet those are awesome! I may have to buy one, use my boys oculus 🙌🙌🙌
You know these new drivers don't use radios anymore. I have one in my rig and one in my pickup
Luckily you were in Gallup that Loves does repair
Yea. There isn’t much around there
@@MakeCentsTruckingif I’m not mistaken I think they just opened a ONE9 there
What happened. To DRIVEN!!???
Think he was captured by Chapos cartel 😂 jk bro. Not sure now days. It’s been a month since we’ve talked
They idle away their 💸💸💸
First from Missouri 👊🏻💪🏻🫣
(M/35) I’m a new apprentice in the carpenters union working in Boston. I’ve always wanted to drive a truck though but never got my cdl. I want to make the jump but don’t know if it’s worth it. Any advice?
@smokeclouds8 trucking is top five in risk. so its up to you if you want to risk your life like that. if you have a chance, find a trucker to ride along for a week, and see the driving from inside the truck.
Am I suppose to drive your truck for you as well
Man u the only 1 play dat
😅😂😢🎉
2 trucks is not hard, try to maintain and dispatch 10 trucks plus 16 trailers then you would think different. So don't bragg until you get bigger in the game
😂😂😂😂 🤡 🤡🤡🤡🤡
Wow! Good job man, we're really impressed! Yeah Sammy, quit bragging all the time 😂.
Did your momma drop you on the head? This video was about booking loads per truck. I have two, that’s not bragging. But ok dude
@@MakeCentsTrucking cool!
😂😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Your alive in trucking because your UA-cam channel the money you make there helps you.
So, if I can make $20k per month with one truck, the one I drive. Not including my other truck. You’re saying I’m making it because my of UA-cam channel? Your thinking has no argument here. My UA-cam channel doesn’t account for what I do trucking.
@@MakeCentsTrucking I make it because I have everything pay off but when things brake it is tight staying I live after paying for repairs and I drive a flatbed wish gets pay a lot more than dry van.
@@elpapatruckingllc8827ok but your still missing my points. My home is not paid for, my wife’s 4Runner is not paid for and I have many debts but my trucking earning still cover it all. Btw my current UA-cam earning is $234 for the month lol
@@MakeCentsTrucking yes I understand that it is still doable as long and the truck doesn’t have any big repair or problems that could put you out for a week or two. I have two trucks my wife who drives one and me. We survive but I know there is a lot of people that are having a very hard time and any rock in there path could end everything.
@@MakeCentsTruckingnot bad! I make 800 bucks a month at a grocery store and that's the reason I'm going to trucking school this fall 😂
Lets talk *clean money* , or have you done that on any other videos before ?, once again *clean clear money* .
Net?
@@MakeCentsTrucking Money that you make and never have to put back into that business *CLEAN CLEAR MONEY* .
If that is not clear enough , how much money would you need to make on a regular job which taxes were taken out , and where you had no expenses , to be the same equivalent to what you are making now ?? , *BOTTOM LINE CLEAN CLEAR MONEY*
@@WISHBONEL7😂😂😂
@@MakeCentsTrucking Have you given it any thought ? . Although I am familiar with the trucking business , that is a question that applies to *ALL* for profit businesses , especially the ones that want to be honest with themselves .
What is really taking place in *REAL TERMS* Mr. MakeCentsTrucking ????.
Maybe post business 101 series play list clickblink to next 25 video "up next" BINDGE trucker truckn
Because
people be like why do I need a cb when I got a cell phone but I have a cb
lol I’ve heard that myself
@@MakeCentsTrucking heck I always tell people to get a decent cb
MakeCents makes about enough money on UA-cam to go out once a month and buy a cheeseburger at McDonald's for himself.. He makes his money with trucking, not UA-cam..
I’m 34 no kids no wife no rent if I can bring home atleast 3500 a week on the low end I’m sure I can make it
New age drivers and cb's lol they are cut from a different cloth, is your old buddy Tim still on UA-cam that had the 389 then sold it ?
Yeah he’s put out some recent videos.
Sammy, I don’t turn on my cb because of the nasty side of it like the h o m o dudes who are advert the nasty. Also, no one will respond 8/10 times. Immature adults cussing each other for hours. CB for me not worth it. I only turn on in the winter when I’m in the midwest and northern states.
QUESTION ; How many of you have called at least 4-5 Businesses a day trying to add direct customers?? I find very few "O/O" that actually run a trucking business like a real business and that's probably the #1 failure causation the last few years. START CALLING DAILY and get direct customers, you'll be just fine after gaining 20-50% higher rates by cutting Brokers out 💪♥️
🙌🙌🙌🙌 you can make it on spot if you know how and what to do. A direct is night and day difference. I do both. Trying my bestest to work my second truck into 100% direct specialized
Brokers, fuel and all the different taxes are getting all your money.
you stay in bushiness because countless mechanics depend on fixing your peterbuilt
Bcuz Melalueca is paying you 4500/month.... ??? 🍨
That would be the life 😎
@@MakeCentsTrucking 💪🤣
Hard work only to survive he'll nope
This year is better 2017-18
Absolutely 🙌 these new guys don’t know about them pre covid years lol
@MakeCentsTrucking I do reefer, doing good just from DAT board.
Damn it Sammy I had to learn from strangers on UA-cam that you out here making bank on UA-cam ? That’s how divorces start you know 😘
Lmao 🤣
This guy here got the big head
Nah, confident , not cocky. I’m just good at what I do bro. Been at this game for 24 years. You learn some things along the way.
Some trucking company's don't allow cb radios
That’s just ridiculous!! It can be a life saving tool
@chrisbelsito4231 yea but there's company's that will fire you in a heart beat for having a cb in their truck, don't ask me why because like you just said it is a very important tool to have in a semi
Sounds like a company that would have driver facing dashcams too😂
Walmart had or has cameras facing the driver's, my dad drove for Walmart and he is the one that told me about the cameras
@@orenminton405 Walmart is one of the very few major carriers that actually take care of their drivers
Can't hear a word
😂
They can’t hear the CB with there earbuds in anyways, plus they got their foot up on the dash of that Volvo or Cascadia so reaching the microphones kind of awkward for them😂😂
