When you removed the cage bolts they came decently easy, but you put red locker on them going back in. I’ve seen people use a little blue locker, but never red. Thought process there?
These models have a quite short change interval for the cambelts... wonder if it is not exaggerated to change them so often. Another interesting job to do yourself, but there are already useful videos on that topic on YT.
yeah my first set i ran for 8 years and 23000Km and put the california cycleworks belts on . they have a good you tube video . ran their belts 7 years and 13000Km
Yeah, I though the same. I changed my 1098 belts at 8,000 miles and they looked brand new. Didn’t change them again until 30,000miles and they still looked new. I think the recommended interval is based on redlining the bike on the track a lot or letting it just sit in the garage and not riding it, which I think is the worse than riding it. I ride my often in all but a two or three months and I crank it every couple of weeks during those months.
Thank you
How good man!! Just found these! Keep it up!
Excellent videos! I have a 999 that will be due for a clutch soon and these vids are very helpful. Thanks.
