    Very nice demonstration, I have a Streetfighter 848 wet clutch that I want to do the same install, the instructions you give would be pretty similar correct, thanks again and great job

      Between hub and spring( 09:59 ), I use Staburags NBU 30 but you can use any bearing grease, just use a little, don't apply too much. Thanks !!!

    Great video! Like and subscribed. The best I’ve seen for demonstration, very detail one by one. How is the clutch holding so far? I’m about to pull the trigger on a kbike slipper and would like to know your input. Thanks!

      Thanks. I haven't had any problems since installing this kit. The clutch works 100%, pulls hard every time ,a bit louder than a year ago. I would buy it again.

    Thanks for the clear demonstration. I'm going to do the same on my '08 Hypermotard. The wear on my basket looks just like your old one. With the new clutch, do you still have a fair amount of engine braking when closing the throttle? Also, did the lever feel change much? You recommend that kit?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks. I'm not racing this beauty, just the short weekend rides, the engine braking and the lever feel the same. This is a much quieter clutch and you will have to try very hard to lock the rear wheel when downshifting. In general, I can not say anything bad about this kit, maybe only the price is quite high but I do not regret the purchase.

    Nice video thanks. One question I was told that convex disc was supposed to be in the middle of the pack? You put in 2nd place

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому

      Thank you. According to the KBIKE instructions, the convex disc goes second after the friction disc.

    Thanks for the video. About to pull apart my Hypermotard clutch.
    Is there a reason you measured the stack distance once the pressure plate was installed? Did you measure the total stack height prior to putting all the plates in and torquing it up? I hadn’t seen anyone measure the distance like you had before.

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  Рік тому +1

      Thank you. KBike instructions(manuals) says that for proper functioning of the clutch you have to comply with this measures. From the top of the pressure plate to the clutch hub MUST be between 6mm and 7.5mm. They know better then me so I follow what they say :) It has been working without problems since I installed it. I would appreciate the 👍

    was the washer put on backwards compared to the photo provided on the orientation? if the washer was a bowl used for soup, the open part of bowl was facing outwards vs inwards.

    Hi, great video! Question. Does the slipper clutch totally remove the rattle sound when you pull the clutch in or will it come back over time?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому +1

      The rattling is still there, but not so obvious. I use aluminum clutch friction plates so this should result in less wear on the clutch basket (less wear = less noise). Don't forget to 👍 Thank You.

    • @mickeymouse4897
      @mickeymouse4897 Рік тому

      Dry clutches wear rapid & rattle big time cos not lubed or damped by a bath of oil, a wet clutch is far better for less wear & less noise ... Ducati production bikes are based on race bike motors, hence the dry clutch for pit stop changes, Ducatis are costly & high a maintenance motor.

    • @holmes1956O
      @holmes1956O 10 місяців тому +1

      That is not a slipper clutch. A slipper clutch has 2 hubs and one rides on a one way bearing called a sprag. On deceleration the sprag disengages half the clutch allowing it to slip. This just an aftermarket upgrade clutch not a slipper clutch

  • @parales03
    @parales03 2 роки тому

    I’m sorry last question. As far as the washer goes. The hump should be facing outwards?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому +2

      No problem :) According to KBIKE manuals -
      quotes "insert the convex disc (the peak on the engine side)".

  • @parales03
    @parales03 2 роки тому

    Did you have to buy another steel plate disc? Doesn’t the slipper clutch come with everything you need already?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому

      The clutch disc set and the Slipper clutch are two different brands but can be purchased as a kit. The clutch plates are delivered with "extra" steel plates. I used the NEWFREN clutch pack. Don't forget to 👍 Thanks.

    Hey if ur seeing this i have a question. I have a ducati m900 ie. I need a clutch and found one for 500 but it has aluminum basket steel cluch disks. Will it just not make any noise because the aluminum basket? I want noise cant find a steel basket and disks on a kit

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 місяці тому

      I have steel basket/aluminum disks and still hear the knocking “noise”. Not like with steel on steel but it’s there. The reason I went with this option is that aluminum disks don’t damage the basket to much. It’s easier to replace disks than basket.

    • @trixsters7156
      @trixsters7156 2 місяці тому

    Why do you not adjust all the springs so that the distance between Pressure plate to clutch hub are all the same distance, rather than within tolerance but differing? Surely by having them all the same the wear to plates will be equal?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 роки тому

      I didn't even think about it. I always try to follow the instructions, and the KBIKE instruction clearly says about tightening the springs with a torque of 8Nm. I trust them because they probably know more about their clutch than I do. But thanks for the idea, I'll try this next time. 👍👍
