For the issue at 2:20 ( the play between the machine and the grip) I found a Lil solution that works well for me. I use a clip cord sleeve and tape it before I screw on the grip this allows less movement between the machine and grip👍
I’m hype you posted this. Finally getting a machine that’s over $250 and this happens to be the one. Makes me a lot more comfortable with my purchase haha
Struggling is not the only difference in all three machines. The shader has a dampening effect that creates a very subtle “give” which creates a smoothness and less trauma on the skin permitting for more efficient layering. There is also two different motors involved. For those who ask why the different stroke length… The length of the stroke plays a major part and the determination of how hard a rotary hits. The more distance that needle has to travel and gain momentum, adds that little bit more force behind the hit.
Dude your video quality just keeps improving. So good. Love how much you cover hygiene standards and covered every point I need to know about the machine, thanks. Keep it up 🙌🏼

Thank you for the video!!! I was wondering if you’ve packed solid black with the liner yet and have you seen it healed? Any issues if so? I just ordered the liner and plan on using it for lining solid black and stipple, thanks again 🙏

That being said I wonder how it will function as a whippy black and gray machine as I prefer seeing the mag marks when I do black and gray. Great review thanks for being unbiased throughout
It will give you that effect for sure as a whippy shader. Gotta be confident in what you are doing tho. The liner puts the ink in where you want it. It’s not forgiving like a lighter hitting machine. Glad you liked the video ! Thanks for watching

I'm using the packer for a while now but still feel like i'm missing some UMF, you say small liners are easily blown out and it doesn't handle well with the liner but it seems like you are using the liner with smaller needles right? Do you think i'm good with the packer or do you think the liner is worthy in doing both small and bigger groupings? I work moslty off the tip and have a medium hand speed.

I love your videos, you have helped me a lot!!! I have a question, is this tattoo machine louder than the spektra flux wireless? And is it louder than the v6 bishop rotary machines?
Dude, it’s one of the first things I noticed about cartridges. Why is it when you open a needle cartridge the stem is set to be touched right away? Bishop takes care of that by having the needle set in the packaging backwards; meaning you touch the front of the needle and not the back stem. If we are set for the tattoo session the first time, we might be fine with touching the stem of the needle on other brands, but if someone is like most artist, and during the session you grab a needle to use half way and the stem is placed in the packaging to be touched first, that’s “no bueno” for any machine-IMO. That’s why I change gloves during the session to make sure my gloves are clean. The other thing is, I don’t recall Franco saying “it must be lubed all the time”. I might have missed that on one of his videos. I though he said every 300 hours or so, and I find the machine starts to make a noise when it needs it. Also, I will say to clean that metal part on the inside every 4-6 months and then re-lube because not all cartridges have a good membrane especially cheaper brands, which I totally stopped buying. But if someone is using cheaper carts, I would say every 3 months then. Again, IMO, as this seems to work best for me. My theory is as we get better in the tattoo industry, and buy better products like new tattoo machines, but skimp on the good needle carts and buy cheaper ones, at some point those membranes will give and there goes the motor on any machine. As always, a very informative video session, and glad to see you enjoyed the machine. Will you ever have a video on lining sessions from a stencil to finished lined tattoo session? I’m only 3 years or so, but always love to see other artists tattooing, which is very hard today with this virus. Isolation sucks man! Thank you for the review. Now, it’s gonna be even harder to buy any of these! 😂😂😂
You shouldn’t touch the stem of the cartridge with any pen style machine... if ink gets on the plunger it will get into the machine as well regardless of the lube.. also the lube is not necessary, only if the machine gets more noisy and you want to fix that. But not mandatory for use. There is a video about that on the Bishop UA-cam channel ;-)
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Fair enough haha. I am looking to get a new liner and I am used to my Dan Kubin sidewinder. Only reason I dare to touch 3s for lettering with it is because of the clipcord polarity thing and the adjustable hit. The wand liner not having it scares me but it might like you say just be down to getting used to it. Have you tried the packer? I have heard it is a great liner aswell.
Maybe part of the reason the lubricant is there is to keep ink from accidentally going into the machine if you use the rubber band type or the open style membrane
Yup. If I’m only doing fine line tho I’ll use the vlad blad avenger 2 pro. But if I’m doing a big outline where I’m switching between groupings on the wand I’ll still fine line with it

Fk has the exo with 2.5, 3.2 and 4mm I don understand how the machine for lining from fk is almost the same than the shader from Bishop. Who is right ? Fk or bishop ..
The thing is the wand shader was made with more give, so even when it doesn’t have that small of a stroke it lets the skin fight back a little, that’s why it’s should be more forgiving than a normal 3.5
Stroke length is not all. The weight of the cam, and the torque of the motor also plays a big role on direct drives. The exo has a really strong motor, so they needed to shorten the stroke as a b&g shader. The wand shader has much weaker/softer motor but a 3.5 stroke. Still a hard decision haha but it’s mainly a preference thing
Bishop isn’t a fan of strokes under 3.5mm because a short stroke on a rotary causes the needles to stay in the skin pretty long on each cycle, what can slow you down. There is no right or wrong, just different machines for different people buddy
Hey m8.. ok.. am considering grabbing a wand.. Thought I'd ask you some questions, if poss Currently I work with Cheyenne unlimited 3.5, Xion (set at 3.7ml stroke) and an FK edge X for most lining (Set at 4.2) .. Like you, I came from Coils and an early 2000's old skool shop apprenticeship.. but they ruin my wrist and give me hand buzzing numbness nowadays 🤷♂️😪 So.. in ur experienced opinion of the wands.. is one a good investment.. in light of what currently work with.. Main body of my work is b&g.. I do miss the punchy lining ability of a cut back coil liner.. but I still find I can mostly lay a crisp consistent line with a rotary.. The unlimited is great.. ease of use.. but if I'm honest, I prefer the xion for the smooth b&g blends Your honest opinion would be appreciated
Ok so i was hating on this machine cause my customer was likeomg it hurts so bad bkah blah but i saw the healed blackwork and lines i did it was awesome this is a great liner it no dan kubin but its great none the less
Wand liner costs in Europe around 1000€…..To say that the machine is overpriced would be a mildly expressed………Like every Bishop product…Expencive bling bling…Running my shop since 1992 and this is my humble opinion
They are expensive. I don’t mind paying for something that makes my job easier. Pays its self off in 1 day. Fk irons has machines double the price which I would call over priced for sure ! Everyone likes different stuff tho. Glad to hear you’ve been in business so long. That’s a great accomplishment ! Cheers
I love the wand but one thing I don’t like is the cartridge insert . Seems like they put no thought into it . I also own the xion by FK irons and their cartridge insert was wel thought out . Ty
Bro I just bought it and I feel exactly the same it hits soft as hell and I can barely find a cartridge that works well with it. Especially using small liners with the big stroke it just doesn’t hold the ink well
this machine looks dope. I'm an apprentice and I want to buy a nicer machine but im hesitent because like you said, these new rotaries hit hard n you can chew someone up.
Dont get this machine yet until you get more experience.itc hardest hitter rotary was ever built.5mm stroke.u can easy blowout somebodys skin with it or if u be packing solid black u chew the skin up.this machine needs experience behind back.so far one of my favourite machines for lining and stippling
If the external part of your plunger on your carts is getting contaminated then you were using shitty carts. If you’ve got a solid membrane as a barrier, nothings getting past it. My old boss paid $3000 to do all these lab tests trying to prove to us that pens were so much worse than coil machines when it came to contamination. No success. And one of those tests was trying to prove that carts weren’t reliable including the external part of the plunger rod. The only requirement we had was that he had to either use Kwadron or black claw. No second rate Chinese crap that’s bound to explode and cause problems.
MY GUY! Just over the first year owning this beast, warranty is officially no more, and who wouldve thought...my motor is fluctuating in voltage and the rca is getting loose. So the battery use, should be done with great care. dont twist them, when taking them off. have to send the machine back to the us for repair, and i assume its only the soldering on one of the cables to the motor. Watch out!
That sucks ! I haven’t had trouble with mine yet 🤞 I actually ordered a knock off one recently and I’ll be doing a comparison video seeing if it’s just worth buying the 70$ one instead lol
I think he worries too much about stuff it's good but same time it's unnecessary because that stuff's never going to touch ink or blood that's what it's designed for
Pretending these things are not a complete scam is hilarious. All pens are insanely overpriced, impossible to sterilize and the performance does not and will not ever match that of a coil machine. Anyways imagine what you have to leave the grandkids at the end of your career…. A box full of busted beyond repair pen machines. Or some handmade works of art. Don’t be fooled by the hype. Seek out a coil machine builder. You’ll thank me later.
I agree that some are over priced, but I’m not leaving my grandkids machines coil or not. I started with coils. Moved on to rotary. Not planning on going back.

Review the Packer pleaseeeee
Love your videos
Thanks ! Glad you like them !
Hey m8.. ok.. am considering grabbing a wand..
Thought I'd ask you some questions, if poss
Currently I work with Cheyenne unlimited 3.5, Xion (set at 3.7ml stroke) and an FK edge X for most lining (Set at 4.2) ..
Like you, I came from Coils and an early 2000's old skool shop apprenticeship.. but they ruin my wrist and give me hand buzzing numbness nowadays 🤷♂️😪
So.. in ur experienced opinion of the wands.. is one a good investment.. in light of what currently work with..
Main body of my work is b&g.. I do miss the punchy lining ability of a cut back coil liner.. but I still find I can mostly lay a crisp consistent line with a rotary..
The unlimited is great.. ease of use.. but if I'm honest, I prefer the xion for the smooth b&g blends
Your honest opinion would be appreciated
How’s the vibration?
Minimal to none.i hardly feel it vibrate
Ok so i was hating on this machine cause my customer was likeomg it hurts so bad bkah blah but i saw the healed blackwork and lines i did it was awesome this is a great liner it no dan kubin but its great none the less
Lmao the office clip got me
Is the wand packer similar?
Wat machine would u recommend for a beginner?
What if you don’t lube it.
It will be louder and won’t run as smooth I think
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial : /
Just got mine
Did you try it out yet?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial yea on practice tho and im impressed like wtf wow
Good shit my boi!!
Thanks dude !
Cheers
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Your videos are very good….Keep up the good work my man and all the best…..🤙
Thanks for the encouragement! Appreciate you !
I love the wand but one thing I don’t like is the cartridge insert . Seems like they put no thought into it . I also own the xion by FK irons and their cartridge insert was wel thought out . Ty
What dont u like about the cartridge insert on the wand?
@@evanabt8578 it doesn’t go in smooth like the Xion . If you try it on the xion you’ll see the diff
And whats about the line work comparison between both machines? I never used one pen machine and i want to try a good liner...
@@aaronpuschelperez768 get the bishop wand liner.. it’s amazing for lines
@@aaronpuschelperez768 wand liner is a winner for lining.18rl easy as fuck
thank you
I love your videos
It’s a nice machine. However I just don’t feel it packs enough punch.
Really ?
What machine do you think hits hard enough ? Next to the vlad blad avenger 2 this is the hardest hitting machine I’ve ever used
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial This Maschine packs beter then spektra flux. i have both machines.
Bro I just bought it and I feel exactly the same it hits soft as hell and I can barely find a cartridge that works well with it. Especially using small liners with the big stroke it just doesn’t hold the ink well
merci ! from france
this machine looks dope.
Good job my nigga 👏 💪 👌 💯 🙌 👍 👏 💪 👌 💯
Lets talk about cartridges
If the external part of your plunger on your carts is getting contaminated then you were using shitty carts. If you’ve got a solid membrane as a barrier, nothings getting past it. My old boss paid $3000 to do all these lab tests trying to prove to us that pens were so much worse than coil machines when it came to contamination. No success. And one of those tests was trying to prove that carts weren’t reliable including the external part of the plunger rod. The only requirement we had was that he had to either use Kwadron or black claw.
No second rate Chinese crap that’s bound to explode and cause problems.
super important to be able to dance
It’s really the only important thing

I haven’t had trouble with mine yet 🤞
I actually ordered a knock off one recently and I’ll be doing a comparison video seeing if it’s just worth buying the 70$ one instead lol
there should be a time stamp for 2 mins lol im dead '' that's what she said ''
lol I try to throw that in there whenever I get the chance
to be fair we should say that all pen machines cross contaminate.
I am willing to trade my wand packer tats been used about 10 hours for a xion. I’m out of Orange County California.
I think he worries too much about stuff it's good but same time it's unnecessary because that stuff's never going to touch ink or blood that's what it's designed for
ashei
worth max 70 $
Why do you think ?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Because I had it, I sold it and bought a fake.
@@Carlovbasic where did you get the fake? I’d love to make a comparison video
You could send the link to it to my instagram if you wanted. I’m not sure if they will let you share one in comments here

@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I know me too I just wish they would charge what they are worth
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial aren’t you using coils now
