Link for the original Mazda CX-9 Review: ua-cam.com/video/KY0_YOGy-FY/v-deo.html Will try to make at least 2 videos with every press car to get more exposure. Hope you enjoyed the content and found value with it. If you want to see what cars I work on next follow on insta @exhaustsports or become a patreon member. Thanks again for watching
Hey thanks so much my friend it’s really all thanks to you guys and for your support, that I have been able to have such opportunities and I am truly humbled by it. We’re doing great hope you and your family are doing excellent as well!
I’m subscribing just from you calling out those idiotic comments about HOW well a vehicle drives (i.e. handles, accelerates, and brakes) doesn’t matter in certain SUVs! That is one of the most important aspects of safety on the road in having control and confidence in the vehicle you’re operating...plus it adds a level of enjoyment to the act of driving as well!
Haha thanks so much my friend. Yea exactly like how is it that you don’t want a more enjoyable and confidence inspiring experience no matter what type of car it is. Some of the things I hear is ridiculous. Thanks again for your support and understanding!
Cx9 is almost the perfect suv, and there is no such thing as perfect, but this gets really close, driver dynamics, safety features with even reverse brake mitigation, excellent gearbox and engine pairing, interior really nice, very stylish design on the outside, reliability, fit and build quality, only thing I would have wanted would have been 2500kg towing and a turbo diesel, but it's still good enough for me
Very relaxed, honest review. Makes me comfortable believing you. You're not trying to sell us. I like that. As far as the CX-9 goes, I love it especially in the most beautiful red color. It looks amazing in the sun light. However, my concerns with this vehicle are having to use premium fuel to achieve better gas mileage. Also, I want a digital tachometer. If I can get past those then we have a winner. Fortunately, we are only driving around 8-10,000 miles a year now days. But I do love the Hybrids that Toyota offers and soon to offer more even more of them. Driving those few miles wouldn't even justify paying the difference for a Hybrid unless the vehicle comes standard with it. Decisions, decisions. Guess I can't go wrong if I get a 3 year lease again.
Hi thank you so much for stopping by, very happy I could provide value. Yea leasing is always a great option in my opinion and I would agree, if you dont drive much like me, there isn't much to gain from a hybrid especially since you are paying more up front. If you have a Costco near you, I would highly recommend a membership with them as premium fuel there costs less than regular fuel does at most other traditional fuel stations. I save on average like 10 dollars per fill up so the membership pays for itself in one month. CX-9 is a great choice for sure, I believe good deals can be had as it will be redesigned soon. The other 3 row I absolutely love is the Kia Telluride. Try them all out, see what fits you best. Best of luck!
Great review. I just got an used 2018 Cx9 touring premium and upgraded apple carplay. Absolutely love the car, the way it looks, drive, and comfort. Not sure how the long term reliability yet, hopefully it’s good 😅
Hi - I just got a 2020 CX-9, the cx-9 fits into my garage but not by much...is it possible to fold in the mirrors before entering the garage? I guess with the engine running, as I have a garage where I need to unlock it before entering. thanks
In 1-2 years I’m going to buy an SUV. Drove a Telluride and CX9 recently. Telluride is #1 but a little big, just my wife and 17yr son so 7-8 person not needed. CX9 signature AWD was quieter and fun. But I need to tow, want natural 6 not turbo 4. And Mazda cramped, knee hits console, lift gate too low (I’m 6 ft). Keep hearing new larger CX9 in 2022 with straight 6? That would be awesome. And made in Japan still.
Hey Greg thanks for stopping by yea I def hear you. I actually have the Explorer ST now for the week and I must say it is An interesting choice. Tows the most at 5600 pounds and has great driving dynamics due to it being rwd platform. Interior is in no way shape or form on par with the Asian vehicles but I’m glad they made it a drivers choice
Lots of positives! However my negatives... no panoramic roof, remote start, infotainment touchscreen a little far from driver and no V6. Otherwise this would perhaps be the best in class.
Thanks Kevin, btw some of those tailgates have settings somewhere where you can adjust the stop height is there anything like that in the infotainment system?
Come to Australia, Mazdas everywhere. They are #2 over here behind Toyota. I'm hoping to get this or its baby brother CX8 - slightly smaller 7 seater (I don't think you guys get the 8 over in America)
In CX9 Mazda has built some very sexy looking great handling suv. Although they castrated the very sexy by throwing in an underpowered engine, transmission with 1/2 towing capacity of the main stream competition. And now they wonder why it is the worst selling suv of all. Give it some power and towing capacity. That is why people buy SUVs first place Mazda. Those sales numbers are screaming about it.
My family got a cx9 signature I got a 17 GT, I kinda want a cx9 signature and I don’t even have a family, it just got that sauce, my next car is seriously cx-9 signature or a Tesla
Hey thanks again my friend for watching, yea I understand most never lease but with how expensive cars have gotten now, I feel like leasing is the only way to afford some of these cars for most people
haha douchebaggery nice nice. the CX9 is a great vehicle. im 6"3 and i sat in this vehicle last year at an autoshow in the front passenger seat and i noticed it doesnt have as much leg space as Id expect from a 3 row vehicle. It was like sitting in a compact car. The styling of it was top notch but the dimensions were a "zonk" for me.
Haha thanks again for watching sir. You had issues with the front passenger seat? Very interesting I’m sure you played with all the adjustments and putting the seat all the way back or do you mean enough space in the front and for you to sit in the rear captains chair? I could see that being a stretch at your height
Why r u calling 'Oh my God' so often? If you Christian... Decalogue... #2... think about it. Back to main topic: If Mazda only could make bigger SUV, better yet, if they could release Mini-Van, Id seriously start thinking about getting one.. Unfortunately, as of now, the competition is huge enough not to look for Hiroshima made cars, regardless... G. luck. (seems they mostly aim at younger people market or elderly for not having typical 3 kids + dogs families)
Ok got one it was a nice one but put 1000 miles on it it came with 1500 hundred miles on it but in my trip of 3 days I put 1000 miles on it at 100 miles to beach and mostly like it but hard to clean on inside but key sucked and that rear deck lid is stopping to low and motor needs v6turbo because it didn't last out my trip water pump and other motor problem so ford needs to fix it motor. But if it had a great motor it's great but but again 20k-25 k it a great buy

So far so good? No major issues as of now. ?
Any issues yet ?
@@jimmycricket8548other than replacing a 12v battery so far so good. Great ride, highly recommended.
just bought a grand touring 2020 cx9 and went on a 500 mile road trip the next day. It was amazing. Definitely recommend.
That's awesome. Massive congrats my friend!
those seats are (just) ventilated, not cooled. that is a difference and reason why you are lacking some cooling effect.
That is a good point it very well might be thank you for sharing
Sounds very positive. Thank you again for a great review. I don’t mind having two videos for one car-especially if it’s a press car.
Hey thanks for that yea they always want maximum exposure when it’s a press car. Thank you for watching!
Hello from Cary. Looking at a certified 2021 at Capital today.
Why the highlander and pilot are popular is cos of their durability and good resale value. Do mazdas resale values match up?
yes
Leased a CX-9 carbon this past June. Very impressive. Drives great.
Congrats!
Why isnt this popular in america? In Australia it sells alot.
“People will still continue to like you”. Nice!
Haha 😂 thanks so much for stopping by my friend. Yea always a stigma when you buy a luxury branded car lol
Great review brother. As usual, you knock it out of the park on your detailed entertaining content. 😊
Hey thanks so much sir for stopping by, right back at ya! Keep up the great content and keep putting it out there you are crushing it 👍
Exhaust Sports Auto You’re welcome my friend. Thank you, I will definitely do it. 😊

Pickin up mine this sunday 😊😊😊
Congrats!
Lots of positives! However my negatives... no panoramic roof, remote start, infotainment touchscreen a little far from driver and no V6.

Yea this is a great ride but I agree a V6 would have been incredible
All those things you want are douchebaggery
Flying Turtle Wow how profound 🤔
Just bought a white 2021 Limited one black out edition arrives in 2 weeks can't wait!
Thanks Kevin, btw some of those tailgates have settings somewhere where you can adjust the stop height is there anything like that in the infotainment system?
Hey my friend, yes I do know what you are talking about but this was set to the max height that it can go
@@MeynMotorGroup Well that sux guess that's something Mazda need to improve upon next time :)
Haha yea I heard there are some big changes coming for the next gen. I just can’t wait for their inline 6 to come
I love my CX9
When is it coming to South Africa
I see so many mazda cx5s on the road but hardly any cx9s - but they are attractive too
Yea CX5 is their bread and butter for sure along with the Mazda 3
Come to Australia, Mazdas everywhere. They are #2 over here behind Toyota. I'm hoping to get this or its baby brother CX8 - slightly smaller 7 seater (I don't think you guys get the 8 over in America)
Nice video! FYI - the liftgate is supposed to be height programable.
Thanks so much and yes I'm aware it was set to the max
no doubt. CX-9 is really up there. Budgeting to get one.
Nice, yea its a great ride
Those lease deals are not stupid cheap lol. Most require 3-4K down. Mazda’s don’t lease that well as some other brands and I just got a 2020 6
Negotiate never put money down on a lease 0 drive off only
Exhaust Sports Auto lol I know that my guy. Just got a 6 Grand touring reserve for $350 0 down 12k a year miles
That's not bad

Yea Mazdas are a really nice ride definitely can't go wrong with it
great driver hope the turbo motor reliable.cause it's very complex.
I never did the lease thing before but I might have to check out the current deals they have going on.
Hey thanks again my friend for watching, yea I understand most never lease but with how expensive cars have gotten now, I feel like leasing is the only way to afford some of these cars for most people
Are the good lease deals consistent as a brand throughout the U.S? I am in California
Oh dude California is the BEST place to lease a car lol you will find great deals on this in Cali
Nice review .. thanks
Thank you for watching my friend
Nice video and fair comment!! CX-9....relatively unique, low profile, value-for-money!!
Well said!!!.... all touched and covered..
Appreciate it my friend glad you found value with it!
Needs Panoramic sunroof, electric folding mirrors and heads up display.
All grand tourings and signitures have heads up display, including the one in this review
electric folding mirrors are also available
Dislike
1. Thin steering wheel
2. No diesel
3. Only 6 speed
4. Instrument cluster and infotainment
5. Exhaust
6. No Aircon in 3rd row
6 speeds is fine lol
I think they should upgrade
There are cx-9 Diesels, I was in the dealership yesterday
Mazda became better when it got away from Ford !
Yup
Douchebagery Lol, love it! 🤣
Only thing I don't like no DVD.
“Buy a CX-9...people won’t hate you”….as opposed to having a Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW…
Very nice car with concrete filled suspension

Mazda is the Asian BMW…except with value and reliability
amaizing bro ))))
