P0126 code for the thermostat. It's a $400.00 part. A known problem of which the car dealers don't want to mess with. I have a 2019 CX-5 2.5 liter non turbo. The warranty is terrible. Other than that, it's a good car. Buying parts is expensive. Word of advice- Don't give any customer experience surveys if bought new from a dealership. They kept pressuring me to complete it quickly. I did, and things started going wrong with car, like reflectors falling off the vehicle. Then it's crickets out of these people. I have a small shop at home to do the repairs. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion with 330 thousand miles. A rebuilt transmission at 180 thousand miles. It cost me 3500 to fix, but I've got another 150 thousand miles out of it so far. Now thats money well spent. I just repair it and keep going.

Mazda is a niche product, so having a near-luxury product is an angle that will make more money, as long as they continue to sell cars. Making Mazdas that are just variations of Subarus or Toyotas does nothing to set them apart. The upmarket push is probably smart. The CX-5 we own is much nicer than what you get at Honda for the same money, even if the Honda has more room and higher mpg. The CX-90 is a step up when you look at competitors.
