As someone who played and beat every Ace Combat game safe for AH on Ace Difficulty with the starter planes, I agree with most of these tips, except for "Feel the Heat". It's important to get riiiight up close to the enemy but DO NOT get too close, or else you'll be in a really risky position where either A. The enemy turns sharply and you completely lose him B. Actually it’s funny you mention tip 12 because I’ve had many times where in conjunction with flares if you trick an enemy into pursuing you if you perform a psm while they are trying to catch up and with flares at the perfect moment you can have them overshoot you and put you in a position to counter attack and almost certainly get a kill. I’ve done it a few times but it’s a high stakes gamble that the first few times I failed horribly but now can do on the regular
9:58 pixy reference 👀👀 and this is 100% true every time I saw that there was QAAM I watched the mad pans kept on accelerating and trying into the missile and times I use flares to either decrease or get rid of the missiles 👍

Applying rudder in a high speed looping roll can give that extra foot to dodge a missile. And sometimes in post stalls you can do multiple loops and break away to either side, tho if someone is paying attention and in the right place they can get an easy kill as you're trying to get the guy you're dogfighting.
9:27 idk man, i’ve fought some people who use psm, and i died to pretty much all of them, but you definitely have to practice with it before it becomes good in multiplayer
The whole video is great but I disagree with the part about PSMs (Post-stall maneuvers) If you learn to do them in a turn fight they put you at a massive advantage as you can get into a firing position much faster than your enemy as they are turning into you.
Fighterpilot555 why not? It’s extremely boring to see F-22 lobbies constantly. I understand you can have limit lobbies, but I use the EML to counterattack the cheese.
The Pulse Lasers are best used against slow targets and/or at medium range. Best plane you can use that has them is the Su-57. I use all upgrade parts that I can get for lasers and you gotta lead your target alot from a far. For me thats usually just enough ahead of them that the reticle isnt even red. I also try to max out that plane's mobility stat. I do ok with it now.
Take a Rafale M or Typhoon with HCAA. I usually take this and shoot non-stop the whole match. Try to shoot like this: 2 MSL, 2HCAA, 2MSL, 2MSL, 2 HCAA. Repeat. The goal here is to overwhelm the targeted plane and make it difficult for him to know which missile is important.
Personally I find playing in cockpit view makes me play in a way where I focus on my position to do varied maneuvers rather than focus on someone and try to out turn them. I will admit, part of it definitely is immersion lol, but I find I do fine.
@@AceCombatFan The Machine Gun Pod is absolutely devastating in the right hands. I used it in a 1v1 against a cocky American in a SU-47 equipped with QAAM's needless to say I annihilated him. I wish it could be equipped on more Russian aircraft.
My first introduction the the Ace Combat Franchise was Ace Combat Infinity. I flew a plane with a *clearing throat* "frickin' laser beam attached to" its back! Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, the game mode I liked to play the most were the PvE missions: sink a submarine, shoot down bombers, kill a squad of jets. So I'm assuming when people talk about Co-Op, they mean this. So when I got Ace Combat 7, I was a bit disappointed the PvE modes are no more. Still playing the campaign and I haven't tried PvP, something tells me it isn't going to be super fun.
i know this is old but when i was in a match someone fired 2 missles at me i was able to easily dodge them but then they make a 180 and it faces me it felt like i was being chased by darksieds laser beams
A tip if you're an SASM person try pushing your target to chase or joust you because you can tag them and do damage over time. In the case of QAAM, spinning and timing the high-g turns help because players are quick to spam them once they have lock on. If going back to ACF's tip on missles, use them to burn your opponent's flares because players are quick to flare instead of properly evade.
One important thing people should probably be doing but aren't is be very aware of the value of their current target. Why waste 1 minute on a 4000 point guy when there's a juicy 20000 point leader to waste time on? Point value of your target can be seen in the top left.
QAAM by itself is fine. The real problem is the Misc Part that makes them chase targets nonstop. I used QAAM without the part and it's an absolute trash.
Best way to win: Quit playing before a F-22 with QAAMS make you suicidal, and the UAV/drone planes start hitting you from random angles like your a blind man playing dodgeball
I would argue the the Cockpit View can still be plenty good for the dogfight, you simply need to be more aware. It's harder, but more than doable. I have had many fights where I got well and above in first place and used only the cockpit. Though, I have had my fair share of days where I have been owned massively. It could be the cockpit, but I have a feeling there are much bigger factors in my own flying style affecting this.
I know im a few years late but as a new player I canno't tell you how much these tips have, and will, help me out, now I'm not going to get bailout master every match haha.
I used to think that I was fine with novice controls but then I flied a Terminator with expert and got far more kills, even against more advanced aircraft
Well everyone is using Fighters and multiroles and then there is me using an a10 and win multiple Times in a row ,the a10 with manouverbility and Speed parts is awesome
Ban QAAMs so the Raptor pussies have to actually TRY! Ban QAAMs entirely instead. Ban SASMs because with max homing they are nearly impossible to avoid unless you use flares. Make post stall manuvers more viable buy reducing damage while doing them so it's not suicide, and make them easier to pull off consistently. More maps, modes, and raids from infinity. THAT WE CAN SORTE IN WHENEVER WE WANT!! NO LIMITS!! Improve the Mr. X skins so they match the cutscene model ones! And give campaign some love too! Did i miss anything? Feel free to add anything else to my suggestions!
SASM ist really OP it just requires a bit of brainpower and you can avoid them, #1 tip for counting SASM is don’t engage head on, the missiles aren’t that good that tracking and even with max tracking aren’t that great. Also post stall maneuvers are good the way they are, in 1v1 environments they are more useful that you would think, they are not meant for dodging but chasing direction like when your opponent passes you up and your are performing a high - g turn then perform the maneuver if they aren’t looking at you. Momentum carries over onto the missiles so with practice you can “Drift” or curve your missiles during a opponents turn to hit them.
The PLSL is definitely the most interesting SP weapon of the bunch. And it does take some skill especially up close against someone with a better jet. Yes it does lots of damage and I even took out Tomcats with it before they even realize what was happening but its almost impossible to use effectively in a thunderstorm.
@@DAN007thefoxx1 exactly. And you put yourself at a risk since you need to get close. And Yinshi Valley and Anchorhead are horrible for PLSL. Realistically, the clouds wouldn't obstruct, but I guess it's a way to balance the sp weapons
@@the_mobius_strip3906 I got the most kills after I respawned it seems. And out in the open. Still, I see frying people with Pulse Lasers more skill based than QAAM spamming or EML quikscoping
I don't know about multiplayer, but sometimes I change direction mid-turn so the missile over corrects and misses. It's a bit of a gamble, but sometimes its all you can do.

I’ve been testing it with the MiG-21 and its external MGP, it works quite well for aiming the gun.
Definitely going to be using these to help me out.
Could you upload a video in which you show us what part do you use please ?
I use standard and have never had an issue with multiplayer, can usually get between 1st-5th
ima keep bossing multiplayer with my typhoon, hotas and in cockpit view...
i cant stand 3rd person view, hud is o.k
great vids. love the channel
One important thing people should probably be doing but aren't is be very aware of the value of their current target. Why waste 1 minute on a 4000 point guy when there's a juicy 20000 point leader to waste time on? Point value of your target can be seen in the top left.
yes, but chasing a leader could be risky since he might be even better than the guy you're now currently chasing
Chasing the 20,000 point leader will probably result in him doing some thrust vectoring nonsense and popping off missiles on you. 🤣
They need to put in VR multiplayer. Cockpit vs cockpit dog fights should be fun
I play cockpit view and so far I've only gotten MVPs in every match except the one time I played 2v1
I fly and fight in first person mode. But ty for the tips
I’m sure I would do terrible with online combat. Great tips!!! I didn’t even know about the expert controls.
Thanks for the tips. May I suggest a video on aircraft setups and weapons?
I agree with the majority. The QAAM is so overpowered. I stay in lobbies with special weapons disabled until they do something about it.
Crush them with EML
As much as i hate QAAM, I would rather have them the way they are, nerfing/banning is idiotic, it's about finding hard counters to cheap stuff
QAAM by itself is fine. The real problem is the Misc Part that makes them chase targets nonstop. I used QAAM without the part and it's an absolute trash.
I just Open lobbys with sp.weapons disabled and thats the best
Polly Chan yeah that’s what I do too 😁
Tbh I feel as though the X02's EML is way worse in multiplayer, you can literally get a kill in the first 5 seconds give or take.
Eoxys Plays you mean OverPowerd in multiplayer?
@@mrandrossguy9871 Yeah, a single hit and you're down, I used it once then realised it was too scummy.
I mean, in long ranges, the EML is scummy. But once you get in close to the enemy, it’s rewarding.
Thanks for your help, I went from last to third, thank you!
Best way to win:
Quit playing before a F-22 with QAAMS make you suicidal, and the UAV/drone planes start hitting you from random angles like your a blind man playing dodgeball
Very good
I know im a few years late but as a new player I canno't tell you how much these tips have, and will, help me out, now I'm not going to get bailout master every match haha.
Just remember that there are really only 4 maps. Yinshi Valley Day, Yinshi Valley night, cloudy maps, not so cloudy maps.
It's actually better to go towards the incoming missile
To be honest the cockpit view is really dope...
lol I play with novice all the time and get 1st position almost everytime I utilise High G turns and dodge all missiles.
ive played this whole time not knowing how to lock camera on someone.. Ooof
turning with it on is annoying me. mine goes haywired. i rather just fly without and find nearest x and save g-turns for missles.
I used to think that I was fine with novice controls but then I flied a Terminator with expert and got far more kills, even against more advanced aircraft
Do u rare the typhoon? (sorry that’s random lol it’s just no one replies) 💀
Well everyone is using Fighters and multiroles and then there is me using an a10 and win multiple Times in a row ,the a10 with manouverbility and Speed parts is awesome
I'll challenge your A10 with any aircraft equipped with HPAA's.
Fucking rekt!
the experience of this game, there is no anticheat and mods or cheats which modify the cooldown of missiles and flare works in multiplayer
Jakob Chance QAAM? EML. SASM do like no damage.
Should do a complication of other aces videos. Would be pretty neat to see some other ace combat players that I’ve never seen before
From personal experience, expert controls are the way to go. It’s not hard to learn, and it’s worth it.
Dicas top, obrigado irmão!!
No need dogfighting. Just throw 6AAM into dogfighting enemy.
Where is your landing field? Where is the landing field for your opponents? How do you RTB and reload, providing you manage to make it back to your airfield?
Saying this before I get deep into the video. If only thay made multiplayer like AceCombat Infinity...
Why does every enemy missile i encounter in multiplayer always turns like hell when i evade them for like 10 seconds
Your tips were very useful. Thank you.
I suck a little less than i did before. This game does take skill at times and im having a great time getting better . Got it on sale and I do not regret it
This is really a video of tips for beginners, because you won't see any pro telling you not to use PSM.
I don't play competitively. My wingman only flies standard controls/game pad and I only fly with a cockpit/hotas. We actually do pretty well as a team though. But we generally stick to the low tier jets.
I have a x o2s and i have no idea why i cant hit any targets or getting killed every 15 seconds.
"Thrust master"
I believe the PLSL can still hit you inside the clouds, but the enemy has to be extremely close.
I can only play on keyboard and one 20-40 fps.
Thats why I cheese it with the QAAM's on a dogfight.
LAAM/HSAAM for flybys
Which parts do you recommend to equip ?
Know what I think !?
To hell with All this “New” stuff and Make it Like it Was In Ace combat 4 !
Like what happened too the Pressure Sensitive View Tracking , Or Yaw ?
We’ve strayed Far
I wish that the players actually got punished for being damaged. It makes it shooting down damaged aircraft much easier since they are damaged.
My missles will loose tracking as soon as the enimy turns just barely
half of my matches I do pretty well, maybe get a few wins here and there, the other half I have to roleplay as stroke 3 dodging every QAAM in existence
How do I zoom in in the second hud? I occasionally see people do it when they line up EML shots but I can’t find the button.
Also the auto camera lock tip was was really helpful.
That only way you can "zoom" is by holding change target button while in first person. That's the closest you'll get.
cybershadowX
Which in The “Holy Trinity” that button on Ps2 has pressure sensitivity which gave you Magnification Control !!
Now that’s out the window ☹️🙎♂️
I saw that guy with the H emblem. My brain immediately thought it was a tie fighter...
sasm missile works good in multi...especially with upgrades on it...
An OOC question, when will ACF do a race in Cape Rainy's canyon?
4:02 "THE TERRAIN WILL CONFUSE HIS TARGETING SYSTEM"
Expert mode is great if you modify the ini file in the game to work with a flight stick but it very hard for me to do with an Xbox controller. I wish they made the game to work with a flight stick.
IV got a friend that takes me out everytime and she uses Corbett maneuvers. Im usually 0 pt and i fly straight fast but i move around too still no good.
Maby I’ve just adapted well but I play competitively and use the cockpit view. But then again, I’ve been playing flying games for years...so I guess it’s just natural for me.
