Awesome video, very informative and clearly put. I don’t think you mentioned the lack of upgradeable (soldered) RAM, though I hear there is some advantage to this due to the closer positioning to the CPU.

Apple’s brick is perfect. If you don’t need to play games Apple’s laptops is still better, especially if you have the iPhone and iPad.

@forty2 Can someone do me a favor and check your ROG Zephyrus 2024 for similar issues? I have the model with the RTX 4090. I noticed several things I either do not like or might be defective: 1. I noticed the trackpad mouse click is very stiff. By stiff, I mean perhaps the stiffest click I have ever encountered. After using the laptop for awhile my wrist is throbbing. Are you guys finding the mouse click to be higher than other laptops? I find the stiff click to a be a real letdown. 2. Just an observation but the fans on the default power mode are loud, very loud. I don’t understand why the fans need to be loud and audible just typing an email or work document. Obviously, I can change to silent but then the power drops and you defeat the point of paying for top-of-the-line hardware. I owned the Razer 16” recently and the fans never came on to browse, type, or do similar low wattage activities. If you use your computer to work all day, it is not fun to hear the whistle of fans constantly. 3. My biggest concern involves the OLED panel. Specifically, when I am looking at medium to dark colors (blacks are fine), especially greys, I can see what looks like noise. Medium to dark solid colors don’t look uniform. The way I would describe the noise is it looks like compression artifacts from a low-quality signal or a high ISO digital image. I wasn’t even looking for anything and I started to notice many of my dark backgrounds contained noise, much like a lower quality panel. To make sure I was not just being picky, I compared the colors to my older, cheap laptop with and IPS Screen and my 5 year old Benq photography monitor. Neither had any hint noise or uniformity issues. I’m really wondering if there is an issue with either my laptop or these OLED screens in general. The problem is easy to identify and replicate, simply go to Fullscreen.one (or Google search it) and click on the 60% or 80% black and look closely. On mine you can see all kinds of random noise patterns. If you have this laptop, please do me a huge favor and check out your results and post what you find. Thanks guys!

I personally wish they kept the magnesium alloy body as the previous gen with the ergo lift hinge and just ditched the anime matrix altogether. Also, like MiniLED better for a gaming laptop, then oled and think all of these new laptops with oled are literally going to "burn out" within a 3 year lifespan. The Rog Flow X16 is the more sensible choice from Asus, offering what I think is a better screen choice, more cross functionality and alot wider upgrade path.
Flow X16 costs more than zephyrus G16, and also asus still sells previous year zephyrus M16. OLED has cons, but manufacturers are trying to minimize them. 3 year lifespan? I think new software and features allow to make it longer than that.
OLED is not as fragile as you think phones have been using them for years now plus you can watch Wulff's Denn video about the OLED switch he left on with the same image at max brightness for 18,000 hours and see the results for yourself OLED does not burn that easily and stopping burn in is a easy as alt+tab to a new window for less than a second and then back and that is enough plus the only thing mini-LED has better than oled is higher brightness and maybe less power consumption in everything else OLED is just better in my personal experience the little extra care OLED requires is far worth it for the quality of the screen I had a LG C1 OLED which I used a lot for gaming never had issues my phone has a OLED screen which I've had for years now I even had the Original PS-VITA with a very very old OLED screen which would burn in really easily and even then I never really notice it

In the past, we had 4 or 3 layers of products the low cost , medium end and the high end ( nvidia 1050, 1060, 1070, 1080), (intel i3, i5, i7). For sure, today we pay the price of an I7 and a 1070 to have an i5 and a 1060 of the past. So they didn't make that just because they love they're customers it's business and today for sure you buy an i7 and a 1080 for to get a 1060/1070 and a i5 of the past.
apple last twice as long but its also not even a quarter of the power and you pay twice the price like 3200 dollars for the shittiest specs you could possible get in a laptop and on top of that you can't even upgrade it. I'd rather pay for this and some shitty macbook anyday battery life is useless if you wasting all that extra money just for 512gig of space and 8 gigs of ram lmfao. Oh and you can't even play anything past sims on it with out accidentally burning it up on the inside. Apples even the m3 are outdated you should had made the comparison it would have been hilarious to compare and see the huge price for such basic specs that aren't future proof

Maybe I'm wrong because there were other factors such as global inflation and world political instability. But 4.000 euros I can buy used car with 400 horsepower I will have more fun than a laptop. It is craziness this model with a 4090 cost arround 4000 thousand euros.
Both intel and nvdia created another layer of a product.
I came
Apple SUCKS! Stop talking about Apple, no one buys Apple anymore.
Is this laptop is good for 3d modelling editing❤
Yes
The m3pro 12core is faster than this junk, you just need to use a realistic non biased benchmark like spec2017!
