I've had one for about six or seven months and I use it a lot and it still works really well.
I've used it to work on my robot vacuum I had to change the wires on one of motors and it worked well just had to be real quick with it.

Just bought one to replace the $5 cheapie I bought from Harbor Freight. The cheapie was straight garbage. Don't waste your money on those, because they don't heat up fast enough and they don't heat evenly. These on the other hand are freaking awesome. Try to find it on sale.

Any idea on replacement tips? I don't see it on the HF parts list, although they do have tips for the Schneiders Battery powered soldering iron.

ive had this dong for half a year now but ive had it not really take the butane 100%, ill fill it sometines wont cold start easy
ive used it for bending plastics using the torch option
( the hole on the hot air part can melt close objects so clock it the right way)

Mine broke within a month, better off with a torch

You should of took it back, it would of still been under warranty. Mine is still working, no complaints yet. The smaller form factor for me makes this better for some jobs than any of my larger torches.

I came here because I can’t refill it. Seems like other folks having same problem. Not sure why this was left out. 👎

Hi, thanks for the comment. This video is a series I do on Tuesdays called New Tool Day Tuesdays. It's not intended to be a how to, but it is intended to showcase tools that I use or tools that I think deserve being mentioned. I did find a video for you explaining how to use a butane can. Also keep in mind if you don't have any adaptors, make sure your butane can comes with them. ua-cam.com/users/shortseoLFziBYL34?si=tkdwlmDPMTage-Um
