That brought back some memories. I flew in once to Lukla (Hillary-Tenzing) Airport by helicopter and twice by plane - a 16 seat Twin Otter - and also flew out three times in the Twin Otter. The runway is 527 m (1,729 ft) × 30 m (98 ft) with an 11.7% gradient! Yes, the runway slopes, which is a weird feeling at take-off as, once the pilot has edged the plane to the lip of the slope and, brakes on, revs the propellors, you are facing downhill! I found it was best not to dwell too much on the fact that, at the end of the half kilometre, sloping runway, there is an 800 foot drop to the Khumbu Valley. Oh, and when I did it, the runway had yet still to be paved in tarmac, which they did in 2001 (I was there in 98, 99 and 2000). PS A pilot over there once told me that "We don't fly when it's cloudy as the clouds have rocks in them".
I'm a flight simulator fan myself, couldn't able to afford neither the techs as per system requirements nor the game, i enjoy every time watch your flight sim videos
actually its other way around in some places,,,,,airport builders destroys homes, tea plantations , trees and builds the airport destroying homes and livelihood
That is possible, just you won't take off till 120 I think it Is - plus he had full flaps and most probably a large headwind - there are too many ways this is possible to even count
I tried some flight simulator in this Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday after watching your clips. I used to play Locks On before but I never started playing any civil flight simulator until watching your clip. Good content and pls keep this way.
In order for short takeoff try a standing takeoff where you put the engines on full throttle and full wheel break and let them get at max speed and release the break 😉
If this simulator allows for that kind of takeoff performance (completly unrealistic), then it has no credibility at all. Just a fancy flight game with great visuals..that's all. Nice video by the way :)
I understand your opinion. But keep in mind that you could also make this simulator way more realistic, this was just fore fun. You could use Vatsim, Simbrief and Navigraph to get a more realistic experience
@@theflightsim2020 Flight dynamics for me is the most important feature in a flight simulator, if it's possible to change that within the game itself, then cool. For example, I use FSX and although I have every tab in realistic mode, you can change those settings, but not the flight dynamics. I can't make a 747 takeoff from Lukla in FSX unless I change the power and lift settings in the aircraft cfg. file. But anyway, like you said it was just for fun and your video is great fun to watch also :D
@@nunodaniel1976 There is a legacy mode (fsx) and and "modern" mode with new realistic flight model, I tried doing this on the modern setting and was not possible at all.
not sure why but whenever I'm on ground and start taxing, my plane will just randomly start steering to the left or right uncontrollably, I can't seem to ccontrol it. Any idea what might be causing that? I use keyboard and mouse btw.

Fly the smaller aircraft to the Everest summit 😁
I don't think they can fly that high lol
@@theflightsim2020 the pilatus pc6 can… try it 😁

"We can only use a part of the runway because of buildings"
3 seconds after: *cuts trees, hits terrain*
"We made it!"😂
good vid. those 2 last planes would have destroyed that little town between the engine wash and the wings killing everything hahahah
Impressed that you got anything larger than the Citation airborne! Love to see you try the Concorde at Lukla if the simulator supports that model
*Begins takeoff roll*
"Vee one!"
You are rising quick! well done keep up the good work these vids are actually satisfying to watch I bet you will reach 100k by no time
757-200 Was long considered a hot-rod with lots of engine.....it'd be interesting to see how it manages
787! You did it thanks bro❤😮
Queen of the Skies would need a serious diet to take off from Lukla, but A320 seriously shocked me.
Imagine all those people listening to the engines of those planes
awesome flight simulator video
4:40 Made my day dude. Especially the sound!
I AM watching from Nepal 🇳🇵❣️❣️❣️
4:40 khumbu valley and the dhudh kosi (river of milk). Trek to Everest base camp.
Cool video! Enjoyed it. It is a special place. Good job getting some of the aircraft airborne!
They should add explosions in this to make it more realistic
Great collection of tailstrikes on takeoff.
Plane already at several thousands of feet in the air at this location after taking off.
Also plane : ''DONT SINK''
The AN's take off is kinda reminding me the "2012" movie 😂
7:10 i love it how the speaker or AI thing said "dont sink" and he sinks lol
Very well edited that video. Respect
Thanks man!!!
to take off a320 from that airport, you have to build it there hehe
So 747 can take off from Lukla, albeit with very little fuel, a head wind and slight dings to the paint work lol
Hahaha totally agree with that, but not in real life I guess lol
Woooooow,intro
5:54 i have the model of the exact 747 and the livery!
excellent impossible stunts
LETS GOOO KLMMMMMMM FOR THE WIIIIN

It's always the same problem at all airports.......They let people build too close ! Always a great video.

why do the 737 wings look so flimsy when it takes off?

why dont you ever do a A380 being the largest passenger plane
Not available for this flight simulator atm, but FBW simulations is making one
