    Just an awesome offering especially for the price. Love that They added IRS to the Veloster update. Being greedy I would just ask for an LSD but still a great car. This size is the perfect size car to me. Love your reviews. Can't wait for your take on the N. One of the best at describing the way cars drive

      The Veloster N will have an LSD. It's coming out this Fall.

    The Veloster is such a divisive car. There are people like myself that like the old ones better but think the new ones are fine too. You have the total opposite, and then you have the weirdos that love one, but hate the other. And the weirdest group of all are the ones that ONLY like the Veloster N and hate all versions of the N/A and Turbo. Such a weird little car. I love my 2012 N/A

    In terms of trims, do you guys think the base model 2.0 L naturally aspirated is the best bang for your buck? Another ~5k for turbo 1.6L is a big price jump, is it worth it?

    When you were autocrossing, were you using Michellin Sport tires? Those have amazing grip. R SPec model also has better damping.

    Wonder why the stock exhaust on The Elantra GT sport sounds way more aggressive than on the Veloster Turbo. I would think it would of had the same exhaust sounf

    • @jasoncampbell7765
      @jasoncampbell7765 4 роки тому +1

      The Hyundai Veloster Turbo R Spec has the better exhaust note for sure. The non-R Spec Turbos don't seem to have the real sport tuned suspension, tires, and exhaust as the R Spec. :)

    Does the Canadian version have all the safety features the US version has? looks like the Canadian version is missing Forward Collision-avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection and the Smart Cruise Control for the ultimate package. Love your review though. great job!

    Would you Veloster Turbo, elantra gt sport, or Soul! Turbo? These 3 are so close and oddly related in some way...Or just 4door Si it and call it a day?

    • @ThrottleHouse
      @ThrottleHouse  6 років тому +3

      For daily driving in this order: Veloster turbo, 4 door Si, Elantra sport, then Kia Soul.

    • @anthonymccomb4782
      @anthonymccomb4782 5 років тому

      Throttle House I’ve driven all of these and I chose the Elantra Gt sport simply because it’s just as fast , kinda feels faster but sounds a lot better and dual exhaust not the centered , the interior in the Elantra Gt sport is a lot nicer also u get a 8 inch screen and I also came from a 2016 veloster turbo so not being biased!! The si is nice also I just preferred the Gt sport saved money as well 👍🏼

    • @anthonymccomb4782
      @anthonymccomb4782 5 років тому

      K03sport Elantra Gt sport all day long I came from a VT as well so not being biased felt a lot more power sounds a lot better and the torque is crazy how fast it kicks no turbo lag at all

    in the USA, they have a 2.0 premium that is several hundred dollars cheaper than the 1.6 R-SPEC. this 2.0 premium has the premium audio system. WHY CANADA CAN I ONLY GET THE PREMIUM AUDIO ON THE TOP TRIM 1.6 TURBO. (-.-)
    honestly everything else about this car is much improved over the old car and looks amazing!

    When talking about the vehicle's design (not just this one in particular) in your reviews, you should cut away to showing on the vehicle what you're actually talking about. It would add a lot of production value to your videos, and also be helpful to anyone actually watching who might be a serious buyer. I've noticed a lot of car reviews on U-Tube avoid this (a la Redline Reviews) by performing a walk-around of the vehicle prior to the driving test.

    • @ThrottleHouse
      @ThrottleHouse  6 років тому +1

      Do you mean when I’m driving in the car? I try to do the ‘beauty’ shots at the beginning so you can see the details then rolling shots during the review. What other parts did you want to see?

    • @eliyang
      @eliyang 6 років тому

      Yes. To be specific, while you were driving, you were talking about cargo space/trunk. This was never shown in the beginning of this video nor during. Just try to be as consistent in your video as you are in your dialogue. Thanks for responding!

      Must be nice to have the Polo GTI as an option. I would also love to try the Polo GTI but sadly the Veloster and the GTI are the only true "hot" hatchbacks that we get.
      Fiesta and Focus ST were axed for us.

      Lowlands because I won't own one? I am being honest nothing more. I am watching it because I am enthusiastic about all Cars and the fact I have seen it proved the point. I didn't realise that I have to own every car on the road to qualify as a car guy. I would like to see the pics of the one you have

    • @mworx6446
      @mworx6446 6 років тому

      Lowlands as far as the badge is concerned I don't let it become an issue. I like bmw for the way they drive, feel, respond to input, predictability as well as being rear drive and well balanced with good distribution of weight when static as well as weight transfer under load especially lateral forces off camber as many circuits have a section that can throw up this issue. I have used a BMW throughout my 20 years of motorsport and have been very happy with the result so the fact its my preferred choice should be of no surprise. I recommend that you ask instead of guess. When you assume it makes an ass out of you and me

  • @kent570253
    @kent570253 6 років тому

    Hyundai.....sigh...... Ok, now I’m able to talk. The thing I don’t like about Korean cars is that they only copy technologies and they never come up with new. Please don’t encourage them. Please don’t try to make fwd cool. Everyone and its brother tried. I think Honda succeeded in the 90’s but Rwd is where it’s at if you want a track oriented DD. Lets be honest, they are good for people that lease new every 4 years and that don’t care about cars. Come on, be realistic. BRZ, Miata, almost all BMW’s, old Datsuns, s2000, Corvette, Mustang, but not this crap, please.....

    • @lowlanz
      @lowlanz 6 років тому +5

      kent570253 Youre so biased check passenger safety door lock in the new Santafe. Ive never seen that tech in any other cars. and iwant to ask you which other car offer hundreds of setting combinations like i30n does? No other company did that. Are there any other cars in the market that has 3 door like Veloster is offering? None!

    • @kent570253
      @kent570253 6 років тому

      I feel like the Safe Exit Assist will be annoying after a while, but we never know, people might like it and it might save lives. 3 Doors, Saturn did it a while ago. You want hundreds of settings combinations? Try a german car.
      All things like airbags, ABS, DSC, TCS, variable valve timing and variable valve lift, direct injection (BMW use DI since WWII in their airplane engines)
      Active Steering..... nothing of this was invented by Hyundai.

    • @Beanjuice
      @Beanjuice 6 років тому +6

      Wow lmao, so much ignorance and racism in one post.
      I like how you take a jab at people who are legitimate fans of fwd 4-cyl turbos as if it's the poor man's fun car...yet a GTI (German) and the Veloster N (German engineered) are fwd cars that both outperform and in the GTI's case cost more than the BRZ.
      BRZ is overrated. Love the car, love what it stands for but its fans are your typical d-bags who defend its low performance numbers by pointing out its track roots...yet they never take it to a track.

    • @Beanjuice
      @Beanjuice 6 років тому

      Also if it's not one thing it's another.
      Remember the Hyundai Genesis coupe?
      The RWD beast that was neck to neck with the 370z?
      Yeah hardly anyone does because even though it was a proper sports car it was badge snobs like your lame ass that always looked down on it.
      Stop pretending like you're not already biased against Hyundai as a brand and trying to guise it behind the whole "they don't make a real sports car" crap.

    • @kent570253
      @kent570253 6 років тому

      Beanjuice . Don’t take it personal. GTI is hell of a car. Im just over FWD. I had a Focus ST, Saturn Astra, Focus SE (which I still DD) 2001 Grand Prix Turbo (aftermarket). But I still prefer my BMW’s. I don’t know that Hyundai Genesis is neck to neck with a 370z, but if it does, good for them.
