What about the optional tinted visors and their legality on the road? Are they certified and do they let sufficient light through? This is now becoming an issue in the uk as the police have decided there's more money that can be made through pulling riders for anything other than a clear visor.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I’m pretty sure their tinted visors are not road legal. If they were legal, they’d have been shouting that from the rooftops.
I know in the States they're legal. Transition visors are legal also. I mean you can even ride at night with them if you're dumb enough or travel a well lit area. I rarely take my chrome visor off my 4.0 because maybe 10 minutes of my daily ride is at night and street lights are bright enough to not make it an issue. There is of course a legal limit probably, but no cop is gonna pull you over to guess the tint on your visor and as long as you aren't all over the road they assume you can see.
It's a really good question. Laws on visors vary by country, but in the UK tinted visors technically aren't allowed. We supply a clear and a tinted visor as standard with our ATLAS 4.0 CARBON and TRACK ranges. The tinted visors are all marked "For Track Use Only". Our clear visors are fully compliant with UK road laws.
Here in 🇨🇦 it’s law to wear a helmet unless your religion requires you to wear turbans. Stupid law if you ask me. Also a clear visor at night is required.
