Thanks for the video. I’ll give it a shot. I picked up a used jack. Old school. It puns up but won’t stay up. Hope this works. I was always told to bleed with the cap on and pump it then pop the cap and put it back on. You are the second video to do your way. I’ll try it.
@ no, there’s no leaking. I bleed it too. And checked the jack oil, full. Luckily I have warranty. I just stopped by my local Home Depot and got a replacement. I think I should’ve went Pittsburg
@@tycoontony21 Yeah. I wanted the 3 ton Pittsburghs low profile first, but it was close to $200. The Husky 3 ton low is $120. If all fails again, I’m gonna just go with Daytona
So i have the blue 2.5 pits HF one and she wont raise after a certain height (about 1/2way). I just noticed a slight wet spot at one of those rear cylinders. Can i do this trick and or add fluid and call it good or does that piston need to be worked on?
Will try that. I have the 2.5ton Pittsburgh racing Jack(blue). A Christmas gift only a year old but seldom used. It will not pump up hardly and not stay up if I barely get it higher. Will try this tomorrow. Another video said it could be an o-ring replacement job.
Didn't work for me. Plenty of fluid in the reservoir. I did hear air come out. Did everything like you said. But it won't pump up like normal. It's like it's only pumping on the last 1/3rd of the pump if that makes sense and only lifted to about 8 inches out of 20 something. What else could it be. I added oil to it and everything.
So I pumped UT with the release open several times. Maybe 10. I can do 40. 40 seems like pumping the hell out of it. How much oil is touch oil? When I first started pumping it after filling the oil it over flowed. I can take some out if it needs some degree of air space. I'm not ready to give up on it yet
Check to make sure that the 2 cylinders springs in between the back wheels on the jack below the jacking handle make sure they're both going down and back up. Sometimes one or both will stick.
I literally can’t find any video on how to fix that issue, because mine has been filled but still doesn’t Jack! When I pulled the pin out though, one of the 2 o rings is broken in two pieces. Was wondering if that could be why??
@@tycoontony21 Good thing you're a Tycoon because you won't make any money in video graphy - Honestly - I do appreciate the video - it helped me fix my jack 👍

My 3ton husky Jack won’t even lock twisting clockwise. I only had it for a month. Any idea?
Check @ bottom of handle & see if it’s leaking @ solenoid or if it has gears, see if the gears are twisting/engaging with each other

Worked on my 6 ton like a freakin charm bro! Was about to trash it.. I figured youtube troubleshooting as a last ditch effort..!
THANK YOU!!
Glad ur back in business my friend 👍
Outstanding !!! now I know how to fix similar jack with same problem...Thank you Tony.
You’re very welcome, glad this video help’d
One day later, the three ton jack is working like a beast...thanks again bro
Glad it help’d out my friend
my handle won't tighten...what could that be? The U Joint needs to be replaced?
I would suggest looking @ the splines/teeth & make sure they’re all good while twisting your handle

U can do this truck as well. .it’s just a band aid trick unless u use your jack more often, it could help the seal on the piston

I haven’t seen an o-ring be bad yet, but if it is, it’s an easy fix my friend
Since I too have the exact jack you have, what did you end up doing? This or ??

I know U said U “heard” air, but I would suggest to double check & pump the hell out of it & make sure u got all the air out.

TBH I really don’t know unless the lift cylinders are gone 2 crap my friend

GOOD sh*t straight to the point 🎉
Appreciate it…hope it help’d & thanks 4 watch’n
If u needed to add oil, would it be in the 2nd screw directly under the one you unscrewed?
On this particular jack, the flat head screw I loosened to let the air out, would be the spot that I added oil
@tycoontony21 ok thanks 😊
Honestly Thanks it helped me fix my jack!!
Thank you for your video i fix my jack I was about to go get a new one
Glad it helped u out my friend!
I have the exact same jack and it will not lift my car, I used it a month ago and it was fine , so I'll give it a shot. Thank You!
Hope it helps
@@tycoontony21 Yes, got it to work, it would go up but couldn't lift a load, that did the trick. Thanks again! 👍🏻

I ran into this problem today. Not one of my jacks, but on someone else's... that dude destroys everything that he touches.
I know a few folks like that 🤣
Thank you worked for me
Mine pumps but rapid pump quit. Any ideas ?
Make sure U get all air out of it

Rite on brother 👍
It's not too hard to put your phone camera on a tripod or just set on something so we don't have to watch the camera move every second you move.
I guess I should’ve called U personally 2 direct the video 4 me….watch the video & STFU!
how about move the camera around more while you grab the flathead and make me dizzier

Tried it. Didn’t work for me, unfortunately.
Make sure 2 pump out all air & add enough oil. If that doesn’t work, the actual hydraulic lifts could be bad.
