I only used my Jack about a dozen times but owned it for a few years now, minimal wrenching from me. When I went to use it again it would easily lift me and maybe 200lbs off the car but would just stop making progress when I kept pumping. Tried refilling with old Jack hydronic oil. I finally swapped the O rings, just like you had done in this video, and replaced with new Jack oil. Works like a charm now! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us! Also, to the other commenter, definitely remove the small silver bar allowing the handle to tilt forward vs removing the two large bolts on the side, would have been much easier.
It's that small silver rod, right infront of the handle assembly. When you remove that rod, it allows you to push the handle down towards the front of the jack so you have access to the pistons. It will make it easier to lift the handle to hold the pistons and replace the rod back in position.
Overall a good video. Just a little gripe. You did not show assembly. I'm old so that is not a problem for me. Young bucks could use all of it. Why did you cut off the assembly part of the pistons? If you're going to do a video, never assume people are smart. I won't give a thumbs down but almost deserve it.
I think I might be having the same problem. Glad to see someone attempting this before I do.

Thanks for doing this. I was going to throw mine away as well but even after buying the o ring kit and the hydroloc fluid I will still save a lot.
nice video but do you have to drain the hydraulic fluid before you refilled it? Also where did you drain/fill it????
No I did not drain any fluid. There is a small screw to fill the fluid right in the center.
Ha! I watched that same video you were talking about. Only difference was, I understood him. Not chinese btw.
I have the same jack my failed at the lowering nuckle broke apart when I have my car up it I had to pute a tack Weld to get it to lower
It's really not necessary to remove the whole handle assembly; there's a push pin you remove that gives you access to the pistons.
How and where is it?
It's that small silver rod, right infront of the handle assembly. When you remove that rod, it allows you to push the handle down towards the front of the jack so you have access to the pistons. It will make it easier to lift the handle to hold the pistons and replace the rod back in position.
Thanks. This is already easy enough, pushing that pin makes it cake.
Good job. Thanks.
Nice!
I've replaced those orings and it still won't work.
Harbor freight sells Jack oil and it should be used to lube the pistons. Now ur oil will be contaminated with that grease.
