  • Dear viewer,
In this video I am showing you how you can fix your broken seat belt presenter. The seat belt presenter is a common point of failure as the entire thing is made of plastic, which after years of use becomes brittle and breaks. Therefore, I have come up with an easy and cheap way of fixing this issue. This video is applicable to all Mercedes Benz CLK models, which have the seat belt presenter feature.
If you have any questions regarding the fix, please let me know in the comment section bellow and I will do my best to get back to you.
    Regards,

When you say broken, do you mean stick in, or out? Do you mean no motor activation at all, or straining? I don’t see or hear any activity on mine. Thank you for your videos.

If the motor is burned out you will not hear anything. To test you can apply power directly to the motor and see if does anything. If it doesn't then motor is dead.

I am not really sure, since the CLK that I had was sold almost two years ago. As far as I remember, however, it did came with the basic audio and there was sound also coming from the back speakers, not just base. Could be wrong though.
I am happy the video was helpful to you

Do the coupe and the cabriolet have the same seatbelts? (Gurtrolle?)

Yes, I believe so. Many parts were shared between the two.

No idea, as I have never had that car. Should be a similar deal though.

I'm getting an SRS warning light sometimes and when it comes on, my drivers side extender won't work. Sometimes when there is no warning light it will work just fine.Would you have an idea what could be wrong anyone?

Honestly I am not sure if they are connected or is it some weird coincidence. The The extender is controlled by the opening and closing of the door. I am not aware of it having anything to do with the SRS system. My recommendation would be to have the vehicle scanned with Star Diagnostics and seeing what the SRS error pertains to.

hopefully you fixed it and hopefully EndlessMotorWorks can see this comment however I scanned with DAS & Xentry (06/2023 version) my drivers side also doesn't work... turns out the seatbelt buckle sensor has gone, preventing the seatbelt from being accessed by the ECU, seatbelts would still work - gotta take the seatbelt buckle out, replace the sensor, try that first as it's only a quick fix and it will remove your SRS light regardless if it fixes this... a clean dash is better than anything ;)

The rear left window can't go all the way down. It stucks in the middle and doesn't go all the way down, it goes up thankfully. I've never disabled a car before and I'm kinda lost on what should I do.

When the window stops going down, do you hear the window motor attempting to do its job or there is no sound coming from it? If there is sound coming from the motor, it could be the gears inside the motor that have gone bad. If the motor stops abruptly then there might be something in the way of the window guides. I would start by disassembling as much as possible from that side and attempting to roll the window down. Do your best to hear and see everything that is going on with the window regulator when it is moving.

@@EndlessMotorWorksThe window goes down 2 inches before it stops and the motor makes no sounds afterwards, so i guess it's stuck? I'm afraid to disassemble it, because it's my first car and basically I have no experience in this stuff. I have a friend that maintains my engine, suspension and all that, but he's not good on fixing interior stuff or electronics so... I was thinking of visiting the dealership. Is it a good idea?

@@miroslavstefanov9196 They are supposed to know these cars best so if you don't have a trusted mechanic that can deal with interior stuff you should definitely try with Mercedes directly.

How do you get the presenter to stay out while you're working on it?

I jammed it with a small screwdriver, just the way it is on the video.
