Glad you made a comprehensive guide for this, i just bought a C209 CLK 240 and i'm planning to get OEM xenons for it, and change the projectors. Bit of a shame it came with halogens but what can you do with used cars.

What screws do you use to mount the new lens? what kind of washers are these for screws?

All screws needed for this upgrade kit are included with the kit. I believe the screws are 19mm M4.

Is it the same projector for the adaptive headlight version?
Yes, but some adjustements and modifications have to made to the projector to make it fit inside the AFS system.

My passenger single light does blink only stay in a sold amber color so I bought new bulbs and still doesn’t blink or flash, what could be the problem with head light ?? 2004 Mercedes Benz clk 500 passenger side??
Maybe the relay or the electronics around the relay/blinking functionality. Probably best to ask in an MB owners group/dealer.

Why you cannot certify these retrofits so they can legally be used in public traffic?
Is there any way to retrofit them legally? Let an organisation check the light or something like this? Especially in Germany the "TÜV" could check them
Every type/model headlight is tested and approved as a complete unit, not the projector itself for example (excl. the bulbs). So for type approval, we would need to design complete headlights and let those get approved, which would also take a lot of time and money. And we are not a big company like Hella, Valeo etc. so not really a viable option for us.
If you use the same lens and it has all the legal markings on it you wont get any problems by doing this
Is this procedure the same for the W203 bi-xenon headlights? I’m about to order a projector retrofit set for my S203, but i’d like to make sure that it’s plug & play.
Hi, as far as we know the installation is exactly the same for the W203 model. These headlights should be identical.

Потому что новый проектор также имеет лучшую светоотдачу по сравнению с оригинальным (даже новым). К тому же, как правило, повторное хромирование корпуса проектора обходится дороже.
