This is actually a very rare video of a Pelagos LHD that captures the aesthetics of that watch perfectly and that makes me want to buy one - something that I did almost two years ago, thankfully. 😅😊
The LHD is a beautifully understated allrounder.

I gotta say- there’s something about your take on the LHD Pelly (and watches in general) that’s simply down to earth and refreshing. Not snobbery, but an obvious appreciation for the artistry, specs and utility of the time piece. You’re about pleasing yourself (if you will) and not appeasing others. Keep up the reviews man- great job every time!

I've owned the blue one for about 2.5 years and I always flirt with the idea of selling it, only to fall back in love with it again right before I go to list it somewhere. There's just not much out there that's this good in terms of fit, finish, cool design language, overbuilt, great lume, etc...I do a lot of winter outdoor activities, like sub-freezing camping, mountaineering, and big mountain skiing, and this watch has become one of my go-to watches for that season because it's so damn tough and legible in all lighting conditions. I guess it's stuck with me at this point.

I’ve had my LHD for about 4 years, and it’s all I wear. I’m a lefty and a diver, too. I bought a beautiful leather strap and a canvas strap for it. Love all the combinations. I’m not a collector, but wanted one single high quality watch from a company that made in house movements. The Pelagius ticked the boxes. Yes, I agree about the helium escape valve and the 500 meter water proofness. A bit over the top!

In the last 3 years I went through around 50 watches of all sort of brands. Bought, wore and moved on. In April this year I also sold my LHD... but this morning, I bought it back again.
The Pelagos LHD in my opinion will be a classic and it is one of the few references that truly distinguishes the contemporary Tudor brand.

Never had the Tudor Pelagos LHD on my list. It’s too large according to the measurements on the paper. until I tried it at the AD. Since then I wear it almost every day and it’s pure fun of titanium on the wrist (6.75“). Just ❤ it and it became the center piece of my collection 👍. Oh and I wear it on the left hand and totally ❤ it’s weird - and it has the nicer dial and writing 😉

Fantastic review! I absolutely adore my LHD .What makes it unique is its special touches , the crown being in the opposite side ( I'm right handed as well) , the roulette date, the cream colour indicies and the individual numbering of the watch on the case back. Its once piece that would never leave my collection.

I recently bought a secondhand black dial Pelagos 42 and love it. It's the sort of watch you look at and know it's quality, but doesn't draw attention to itself. In the six weeks or so I've owned it no one has noticed it which I actually like! I agree with the comments regarding the straps not being easy to swap over if you don't have the right tool, and the rubber strap which I constantly wear could be more flexible. Maybe I'll get the strap removal tool and start looking at other options.

Dude, I turned on notifications for your channel waiting on the 6-month review 😅 I actually found your first LHD review a few months back and your story in this video is very similar to my journey. It’s the most expensive watch I own but it’s so good it’s become my daily. Matter of fact, I downsized my collection bc the LHD pushed all of my other watches out of the rotation. 2 months in and I still love everything about it! Enjoy man!

Hi mate, got my LHD and bit disappointed about the clasp plus the diver’s extension, I’ve cheaper watches with much better clasp’s 😳! Those small adjustments are way to close then the spring option dugs in my skin a lot for a 5 k watch in my opinion it’s absolutely insane !!! Have some micro brand watches with quick adjustment on the fly that put this “high quality “ looks like cheap fake bracelets! Had the Tudor BB 58 Heritage less expensive don’t care about the on fly bla bla but it’s so much nicer didn’t bought the BB54/58 the 39 mm case such a nice beautiful watch but as I’ve got fewer blue dial’s should bought the blue one absolutely 💯 nicer and slimmer watch ! But that’s life like the watch very hard to install the rubber strap don’t want to scratch it a lot shame on Tudor such a nice watch and … all that said I do like slightly bigger watch case than a 39 mm all that said bracelet it’s very uncomfortable my opinion!

Great watch and review. I am a lefty and love wearing right handed watches because of the crown position. I don't like left handed watches because of the crown digging into my wrist, but that's the least of my worries.
Love the Pelagos watches. They are fantastic and I had the blue version for a while but sold it as it was just too blue. I look forward to seeing what they come out with next. It's been a while since they changed the original model, but would welcome a thinner profile and maybe a new color.

I loved both reviews on the LHD. I've wanted this watch for some time; however, I'm at a standstill. When I looked at the price, at first, I was sold, and for the better part, I still am. I then came across the Christopher Ward C60 Elite 1000, and my feet froze on the Tudor purchase. I still want it, but when I look at the Ward, the only thing it lacks vs the Pelagos is the power reserve and the left-hand dial. The ward is $2150.00, and the LHD is $6250.00 CAN. Am I paying $4000.00 for the Tudor name, or am I overthinking this logic? Your insight would be great on this. Thanks

On divers for the military, for example the Sinn Mission Timers that are used in the German Special Forces, all things that aren't necessary to see at first glance are red. Critical information is white which is more dominant to the eye than red. Hence making things red on the display aids visibility, especially on missions. On a side note: all those military grade divers have the crown at the left side ;) This LHD Tudor is a serious piece of equipment, considering Tudor cooperates with the French Navy.

That's an interesting observation about watch sizes in Europe. It reminds me of a Longines CEO review where he said the move to smaller sizes is not a global phenomenon. As for the LHD, I've tried one on once. I think the left hand crown sadly broke my brain. My only real issue is I don't care for that creamy lume. It looks decidedly vintage on what otherwise seems like a modern design. I do LOVE the red text and alternating red date. They really should have that on the regular Pelagos black dial too.

The pelagos is an amazing watch, altho I own the regular 42, I do see a point in wearing an lhd on the left wrist. Perhaps this is why the pelagos crown is small, to prevent it digging in but that's the only down side I found in mine. I love large crowns with a good grip, it would have been the ultimate tool watch if it had a larger crown.

Great review Evan, as always. As I said on IG, I really loved it from the first sight and especially when I tried it on (this LHD version) a couple of years ago. And I wish they had kept for the new 39mm Pelagos the main features that defy the bigger brother such as the matte dial/bezel and that awesome tridimensional inner ring that plays oh so well with the indexes. But, they did not, unfortunately, as Tudor turned the 39 version a bit too posh for me (I don't particularly enjoy the sunray-finish dials nor polished bezel).

I got a couple of Lefthanded watchs in my watch journey and somehow they make sense, the first was a 55mm chronograph and I thought it was intentionally design that way to avoid the crown and pushers digging into my hand, I missed that one.

My friend let me borrow his blue 42mm Pelagos & Omega Seamaster for a month. The Pelagos was the perfect watch. In contrast, the Omega had lousy bezel action and weird bracelet. The Pelagos would be the one I'd buy.

Here’s the reason I would buy an LHD…because it’s fucking cool looking! In a fun slightly goofy way. It also, seemingly fits the watch look wayyy better than something like the GMT Master 2 LHD model which is just plain weird.

Great review and thx for the continued good wrk. Methinx left hand drive is super fun, though I now wear my watches on my rt wrist due to an njury to my left. Anywho (hate that word), congrats on growing ur channel and sharing ur impressions and knowledge. I 2 am a resident of the rose city ( the boom has faded, but hey we need rain) and am also a Tudor fan. Recently I acquired a BB54. If you would like to borrow it for review, I would gladly loan it 2 you. Not sure how to proceed from here, but if ur nterested, let’s make it happen. (I’ve a problem with vowels, fyi). Cheers!

I’ve tried to buy a Pelagos three times.
Every time I’ve been put off by the dial looking cramped (too much text), and the top heavy design.
I like larger watches (have a collection of Panerais) but the dimensions of the Pelagos just feel odd - it stands really proud on the wrist - even more so than a 44mm panerai sub

Good day, gentlemen. I’m curious: as an owner myself of an LHD and with it being a “divers” timepiece. What is the most HOSTILE environment you’d be willing to venture with this watch? I only ask because while mechanical divers are known for being “tough” watches- they’re no G-Shock or digital watch. That and….I once DROPPED (4ft onto marble floor) this fella and the rotor dislodged. Sent it to my AD for repair, but it got me thinking nonetheless.

Still skeptical about the pelagos lineup, no doubt they are great watches from an amazing brand, but for some reason, black bay appeals more to me. Maybe it’s the subtler details, maybe it’s the thinner bezel, the traditional circular hour markers, I’m not sure, but I’d prefer the black bay any which ways, call me boring

I was going to be one of those people when you posted the original saying "Why the fuck would you get a left handed watch?" But I thought about it and realized that, while not for me, it's fun and a talking point. And considering you have a PLOPROF, it's not surprising that you enjoy having a little giggle when somebody goes "wait what..?"

It is not about the lug to lug, most males, will not focus on this, it is the complex appereance on the wrist in total. This is complex and should not be easily withdrawn.
The Triquertum and the Lunate are the masters. Which limits the good looking on a wrist.
