Literally, and I do mean 'literally' EXACTLY what I needed. I saw this new node and I'm like "Huhh? What dis do?" And these are some of the best instruction you can get on Redshift. So now I'll be set up with the new material.
@@LFOdesign-Tutorials No problem! Also your Redshift VFX Ultimate Couse looks INSANE Man! INSANE!! Any chance there could be an option added to break the cost down in monthly payments? About $300 for the whole shabang, but if we could do $50 a month for 6 months that would be awesome. I would literally just click "add to cart" the instant I saw that option if it were to exist.

Hopefully they have some solution which will work for you.
@@LFOdesign-Tutorials I'll take a look and see what i can do. Because to be honest, yeah, Redshift is great and all, of course. But, this course, while it covers Redshift, really is an entire computer graphics course altogether. It covers everything. It's basically an entire college year of advanced computer graphics training. I've been in computer graphics now for 25 years. This would knock all of the rust off of any of the areas I am rusty at, while also giving me a complete powerhouse understanding of Redshift.
It is really impressive to listen to your knowledge. Your whole class is really worth every cent. Thank you for sharing your experience. It means a lot and opens many doors. Keep up that good work.
Great as always, I'll be buying some courses today. One question, with R26 + RS 3.5 when I try to import from Quixel Bridge I get a "Failed to create redshift material" and "'NoneType' object has no attribute 'GetRoot'. I noticed you had the Quixel object imported correctly with this tutorial. Were you able to do that smoothly or did you have to import everything after downloading it and by not using the Quixel -> C4D bridge?
Thanks. Happy to hear that you like it. When is major RS update - Quixel bridge needs plug-in update. Until they will release new update you have to connect texture assets manually into the material , or you can use bridge to R26 default renderer and convert it after that into the redshift material. In my case I connected textures manually.
@@motiondesignberlin10243 redshift 3.5 new standard material structure is inspired by industry standard. Both Arnold and Redshift are very comparable and both of them have some plus and minus, but quality gap between them is significantly smaller now.
This is the only video I've found that could help me understand the difference between the new materials this well. Many Many thanks

Lovely update…but Arnold users know that at this time Maxon has copied from Arnold!
Yep, there is definitely some Arnold inspiration.
Yeah they mentioned this being intentional- better integration between engines is always appreciated anyways!
What do you think about those two? Is Arnold still ahead?
