As a Muslim, when I watched this video I realized that all of us are the same, I noticed that somehow we have the same traditions despite the different religions and all the conflict but fact is we are all humans and we all have the same thinking. Big thumbs up to this video and thanks 👌👍.
Thank you so very much for your kindness in sharing your culture and traditions with us. I was especially touched (to the point of tears) by the support that the groom received. I was so surprized to learn of the many rabbis who attended the wedding. The bride must have felt so very blessed. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, it would be wonderful to see other kinds of celebrations, too. Thank you again and G-d bless you.
I just watched your previous interview with the groom - this was not a typical Jewish wedding - the groom is visually impaired - having went through many surgeries - that info really adds a level of significance and appreciation to just how wonderful this simcha is!
What a beautiful wedding! As a Catholic, I have hardly any knowledge of Jewish customs. I so appreciate being a "fly on the wall" to catch a glimpse of your amazing faith and culture.
So excited to see this. I was privileged to spend a few special days with Lavi, helping escort him around, while I lived in Jerusalem. He was constantly talking about Hashem, and so full of emunah (faith). I really was inspired by him, and how he was truly living with Hashem. I remember davening for him to find his soulmate, and him going to the kotel (western wall) to daven... so many years of prayers poured into the culmination of this moment. I'm so happy that my wife shared this video with me!
Interesting to see a little corner of human experience I wouldn't normally get to see. Best wishes and a long and happy marriage to the bride and groom
so happy to see Lavi getting married ! I live in Europe but I had seen the video from the chanel meaningfull people "blind faith" which is an interview of Lavi and he gives so much strenghth !!! I'm so happy he's now getting married !
Beautiful, G.D bless u all! My dad was the chief executive steward of a large hotel in NY and used to come home telling stories about the huge orthodox Jewish weddings he had the honor of setting up..he became friends with many rabbis who came to Kosherize the meals.
Jewish culture is so beautiful I love how they protect there woman threw separation mens side and woman's side. Kosher food is the best the love they display for one another is amazing.
This is an amazing accomplishment and I can only wish the same good fortune for my loved ones. Mazel tov! ! מזל טוב L'Chaim! Ahavah to you both on your special day. May your love be forever blessed.
m a student too. Im taking a class on the arch of titus during the fall of the second temple. Ive taken many classes over the years. I also take classes from Tel Aviv Uni too
i am not sure why this video popped up on my screen, but i was surprised and really happy to see this because , i met lavi in kby before he went blind and we hit it off from day 1. i havent been in touch for years but please wish him a big mazaltov from ilan kliger
There are a few reasons why the saxophone is such a ubiquitous instrument in Jewish weddings. In many regards, it has replaced the clarinet due to its cutting sound. Yet, it is also an extremely expressive instrument. It has similar fingering to the clarinet and the flute, making the transition between those 3 instruments very easy. This trend began in the sixties with younger bands, such as Mark 3 (Jordan Penkower IIRC). A very special shout out to Shloime Dachs, Yisroel Meir Shonek, and one of my favorite sax players, Mark Feinberg!
I had a very similar gown at my wedding (Catholic) and many people didn’t understand the sleeves or the desire to be modest- even though in catholic tradition we are taught modesty. I see now- regardless of religion we are so similar and it’s so beautiful.
Going to my close Jewish friends wedding in a few months. I’m catholic and I’m trying to understand what to expect. Hella excited for that man to get married 🎉
*BEAUTIFUL job recording all this. 😍🥲❤️THANK YOU.* (Jewish weddings are any night of the week night of the week besides on Friday nights and on forbidden holidays. Saturday night is totally ok to have a wedding).
Technically, yes, it's okay, but practically you can't start doing any kind of preparation until the Sabbath is over, which would be logistically extremely difficult and lead to an extremely late wedding.
Reminds me a bit of the Greek Orthodox Christian wedding and recrption. Interesting the female energy and the male energy. Blessings for the Bride and Groom!
That was very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I have a question regarding why you didn't show the women celebrating. Is it because woman choose to be modest and by sharing on the internet it's too exposed? Thanks.
Yes, and particularly because the women don't want to be seen dancing in public. You will come across pictures and videos of orthodox Jewish women on the internet, but hardly any of them will showcase dancing
Ma sha’ ALLAH (Baruch HaShem Eloh’im) - this resembles a lot like a Traditional Muslim Wedding - Mazel Tov (Mabruk) ❤🎉 Jewish ketubah (Marriage Contract) = Muslim Khetbah (exactly same our Imam also recites prayer and read out the marriage contract) Jewish maarib (Sunset Prayer) = Muslim Maghreb Prayer (we also do stop everything right at the time of prayer 😊) Food also looks similar and delicious 😊 except we don’t serve any alcohol beverages, it’s considered non-kosher (Haram) in our faith.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely event with us. I liked it and hope ones to be invited. I didn’t expect almost all the guests wearing black or very dark clothes. Sadly this remindet me to funerals in Europe. Is their a special reason for the black clothing? And… what do you wear on funerals?? I am Hindu, but live in a catholic area, so I am used to their traditions. Although not inspired by their religion.
Really lovely. Everyone is so full of joy. I’m just curious, is it customary for the bride or the groom’s family to pay for the wedding? Each culture is different.
Though I'm sure it's a wonderful celebration, you'd definitely have to be prepared for this. It looks completely overwhelming, I wouldn't be able to breathe.
The best wishes to beautiful couple. I would like to ask the bride: my son wants his young wife to get converted to Judaism. And she wants too. Maybe you can share your experience and give some advice.
A beautiful wedding and looks like lots of fun. Unusual for me is that a wedding is a union yet the women and men stay separated. Don’t really understand that.
The separation is for modesty purposes, as men are forbidden from watching women (who aren't their wife/mother/daughter) dance. But as you saw, during the chupah, which is the actual marriage ceremony, the couple is standing together, and they will reunite as soon as the wedding is over. And yes, in case you were wondering, the women dance up a storm as well :)
I would point out that this is not a typical Jewish wedding, weddings for the orthodox community are completely different. My own wedding was nothing like this and there was no separation of men and women at the reception and normal dining and dancing took place. I have attended a similar wedding to this when my cousin married into a rabbinical family. The men and women ate dinner together but there was separate dancing either side of a row of potted trees that were pulled into the middle of the dance floor whenever the dancing took place between courses to be put back to the sides of the room when the dancing was over. The bride's father, a well known senior rabbi, looked right through me because I was not wearing a wig. Interesting experience though.
I'm a physically challenged guy and I can understand. Hats off to all who made it grand success. God bless the couple with happy joyful wedding

Jews aren't terrorists or support them sorry. From an American Israeli
We have more in common than not. I have hope for the future.
What about atheist like me ?Do you respect my total lack of belief?
Beautiful post, Aymen. This Jew feels exactly as you do.

Great job as always Yakov
This is so beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
I went to a Jewish wedding on a Saturday night but I began after sundown. There were cold hors d’oeuvres served of course. What a beautiful wedding.
Sax - and other wind instruments, comes from the olde-time kleizmer bands common in the Ashkenaz (European Jewry) communities.
North Eorope & France Callwd Ashkenaz countries.jews from those countries called Ashkenaz jews later Includw jews from Russia

Beautiful wedding. Respect to all Jews
Beautiful wedding, Nechama!
Really lovely. Everyone is so full of joy. I’m just curious, is it customary for the bride or the groom’s family to pay for the wedding? Each culture is different.
Many do half and half. Some sects - bride pays the caterer and hall, groom - liquor, photography, flowers.....
Who knew Orthodox Jews could break dance...😍😂.
Wow beautiful
Beautiful! mazel tov.
Though I'm sure it's a wonderful celebration, you'd definitely have to be prepared for this. It looks completely overwhelming, I wouldn't be able to breathe.
You should show your cultures more often - 🎉🎉🎉
It was just beautiful😊
Was the marriage arranged?
I love Jewish traditions especially their weddings. Gods true chosen people.
No offense, but why does the getting keep doing the mini bows? Is it just because he is getting married or is it how he feels comfortable praying?
Jews pray that way.
This is Beutiful 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow many stuff I saw like Moroccan wedding 😮…
Kolchi phal phal 🇮🇱🇲🇦❤️
Mazaltov! Excellent!🙏
The best wishes to beautiful couple.
I would like to ask the bride: my son wants his young wife to get converted to Judaism. And she wants too. Maybe you can share your experience and give some advice.
I like the video, but will the bride's head will be tonsured Or will she be allowed to keep her hair?
Most Jewish women do not shave their heads. Several chasidic sects do, but that is very much the exception and not the norm.
Mazel Tov Lavi 😊
Mazl Tov טקס יהודי מרגש מאוד, בהצלחה לכלה ולחתן

In the winter there is no problem with Saturday night weddings.
Can someone please tell me what the glass candle holders are called?
Mazel Tov to happy couple 💑
Amazing wedding! I am so happy for them!
AMAZING!
This is all very nice , however , it is not an 'orthodox ' wedding , it is an ultra orthodox wedding!
So they're married and go to separate sides?? I don't understand this.
Just the dancing is on separate sides. Men and women don't dance together.
I now know who invented the mosh pit
I would have loved to see how the women celebrate on "their side".
