Names are disclosed publicly in 90 days after the ticket is claimed. Yeah, hire security which is the first thing the other billion dollar winner did in L.A.
Its actually required, along with making it known what store/place you bought the ticket at.

Maybe a mistake. The only thing required is the publication of the winners name and where the ticket was bought. The winner does not have to have her face posted or published. Soon many will be able to put “2 and 2” together. Her name and face. Now she will need a security detail when she goes to the lottery office to claim her ticket.
She’s too dumb to realize that she won’t get anywhere near that when she gets taxed “for the second time” a year later.
She did exactly what you aren’t supposed to do when you win.

What I don't get is if the lotto sales already generate money for public schools why does the government take more than half of the winnings as tax, aren't public schools funded by the government, I know there's a lot more than schools for taxes to be used but there's a lot of other tax generators, anyway here in European lottery the winnings aren't taxed just the sales of the tickets.

The lottery corp knows the exact time the winning ticket was printed. Combine that with store security camera footage and you have a pretty good chance to know if it was this woman who purchased the winning ticket, or if it's some other person.

One of the biggest hooked on humanity is that they take care of students. Our taxes take care of schools too. Our schools are probably one of the shittiest institutions on earth. They can’t even get a bus route together in Jefferson County, Kentucky kids getting off the bus at 10 PM with her pants soiled, crying her eyes out wondering if they’re ever going to see their parents again etc. I’ve been to some of these inner-city public schools and I’m baffled absolutely baffled. Half of them don’t have any musical instruments. Food is disgusting. The schools are in disrepair. Meanwhile, superintendents are giving themselves $50,000 raises a year. What a lie!!!

The numbers aren’t chosen at random. There is a computer that chooses the numbers.
Just so y'all know- if you DO win, some states won't allow you to anonymously report your winnings. California is included.
There are ways around that. There are attorneys who specialize in helping big lottery winner remain anonymous. The trick is to not put your personal name on the back of the ticket. The state lottery commission HAS to announce whatever the name is on the signature.
The attorney helps you FIRST form an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation). You sign the name of the LLC on the back of the ticket.
The press NOW has no individual person's name to announce or interview. The Winner's NAME is never announced in the press. Hence, NO INTERVIEW, NO PICTURES. There are YT videos that explain this.

Unfortunately, most people who win the lottery spend it all or die within a few years due to poor judgement.
How are so many teachers having to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets or how have schools been having to shut down extracurricular activities due to not enough funding if a portion of each ticket sold is supposedly set aside for schools? I'd also like to know how 500 million gets taken if u choose a lump sum for taxes but yet our taxes seem to be increasing with not much to show on where the tax funds are being spent.
