taking dumpster fire to a whole new level
a mobile level at that!
Don't put batteries in the recycling bin or anything with batteries!😮
Nope. Going green. Trash trucks and others are blowing up all over the place.
Probably lipo batteries in trash can
Use less battery operated stuff.
Ban batteries
Damn glad nobody was hurt fr
City of LA will move as slow as molasses to get them paid.
Forget the pay. This is already another environmental hazard. The environment the air the heat will get worse.
The smart car was already a loss 😂😂😂
Awe that’s not nice.
@@catzlady.8189 neither is the car
No, it was transportation for someone in need. Nothing to joke about.
@@allykatt1849 He had two cars, though.
@allykatt1849 in need? We all need something. You're saying you don't need anything?
Another reason why I dislike parking my vehicle on the street..
U so right! Parking outside the streets! Eww So many things can be happen! A drunk driver can bang ‼️! Accident somewhere else givu u a ‼️ A fed ex can Bang !!- Amazon driver can bang! trash can bins can bang ! street sweeping can bang ! grafitti can bang !!! sooooon u all will remember me saying bang !!!
These insurance scams are getting more and more elaborate.
😂
I see your point, this doesn't feel right.
How much you want to bet? It's from lithium battery somebody put in the garbage. This happens More than you think.
Fuel leak. Burning fuel flowing downhill along the curb car-b-que-ing vehicles along the gutter.
There was another one that burst into flame from a blown hydraulic line
My guess actually would be hydraulic oil. A hose crack, sprays the fluid on hot exhaust= fire, and then because the pump is running, the 50gal of now burning hydraulic oil runs down the street on fire. I'm not saying it could not be diesel- but that would require a hole punched in the tank and it running out- which is a less likely scenario.
I blame spicy indian curry
Most likely a couple of car batteries left in the trash .. people have no consideration but will look for a pay out right away
Nope! Going green is the issue. Trash trucks are blowing up alot! Expect more but less reports on it
@@jimmyhunt9081 hows going green cause the fire?
@@lbcguy8723 Trash trucks and big rigs moved away from diesel fuel to "cleaner burning" fuel. Direct cause to several truck explosions recently.
Logic tells me some dummy put something in the trash they weren’t supposed to put in the trash
@@lbcguy8723Figure it out
This is the second truck that caught fire!
Bet is was a discarded lithium battery
Battery that got damaged when the truck crushed the trash .
Because there isn’t 1 inch of space for cars to park. 25 people in 1 bed room apartment
That part
So sad for people stranded with no car
the hydraulic fluid caught fire, or it could have been a battery or chemical fire in the back of the truck
Damn, no one is driving to work tomorrow
that foam doesnt breakdown and is very toxic
What about the driver of the garbage truck? Is he ok?
i woulda moved my car closer to fire
Too many DMFs these days...
ESPECIALLY on social media 🙄😑
Lithium batteries.
Same thing happened today over on Broadway and Rosecrans
Pin hole in a hydraulic line is my guess
Negative
The city is unsafe and corrupt🤦♂
Proof LA is a dumpster fire
But there was no dumpster there
Yeah I don't think the city gonna help
The garbage truck was engulfed in flames homie.
i have seen these trucks explode while back like tons of fireworks.went off.
Problemfornia
Many of those garbage trucks got fire. The first time I saw one of them in fire was near to Van Nuys Airport by Sherman Way next to the Food 4 Less market. I have a video of ithat. What is happening ?
Why the city is not inspecting those trucks?
I blame the habanero.
How????
Prabably top notch maintenance program
it's clear to me, just one aa lithium ion battery was damaged in transit instantly bursting into 3000F flames, the thermal reduction reaction left noting but iron molecules as a result.
Someone probably put sum inside the garbage that wasn’t supposed to be there
did someone throw their EV out?
The truck realized it was in the Pico Union area and decided to UNALIVE itself 😵
A DRUNK DRIVER CRASH INTO MY CIVIC AND OTHER CARS IN 2019 and THIS CITY COULDNT CLAIM INSURANCE FROM THE UNINSURED DRIVER SO THE CITY POCKETED MY 99 Honda civic and kept it good engine only back fender damage I DID NOT ** GET REIMBURSED FOR JACK
Possibly citrus oranges, batteries or something that should have been properly disposed of.
People throw chemicals away that they aren't supposed to
So do Corporations who manufacture those chemicals, but on a much larger scale. An inflict much more damage to the environment than cutizens ever can. So, oh well. 😎🎭✌️
Hot exhaust and a hydraulic leak?
Lithium-ion battery go into thermal overload in the trash compactor?
Both?!?!??
MANY GAS TANKS!!! CUDDA BEEN A LARGE-SCALE DISASTER!!!
Atomized hydraulic oil is super flammable.
That foam may be PFAS material.
The city: "Just file a claim with your insurance co."
Yes, filing your claim with your own insurance company is sometimes the quickest way. Your insurance company pays you. And they go after whoever insuring the garbage truck.
It's almost certain that lithium ion batteries were involved somehow.
The stench must've been insane 😭
If people don't understand all those used batteries had dumped inside the recycling bin, that might cause the fire.
I've always get confused with flammable and inflammable.
Obviously, illegal dumping of volatile liquid which ran along gutter.
I will be devastated if I saw my car on fire. If with the reimbursement, it can be aching.
And they leave the burnt out wrecks on the street as well! Safety hazard for everyone! They expect the owners of the vehicles to deal with the tow bills? Dont get it!?
Youre just making up stuff.
Lithium battery.
Okay okay whatever 🙄🙄
Hhmmm Batteries, lash glue, lighter fluid, something combustible…
My car bro 😂
Just an another Day in Pico Union. The whole area is trash and Rent is Out the Roof with Five families in One bedroom or in a Single Apartment!!!
Thought that area was heavily gentrified ar this point.
Some people don’t know that electric items or appliances like microwaves, tvs, old radio equipment , etc don’t go into trash bins.. along with any battery powered or any other fire hazard items.. the fire most likely spread into the rest of the parked vehicles after the trash trucks hydraulic fluid hose was burned..
How was a microwave a fire hazard?
Strange phenomenon 👀
Someone trashed a lithium battery
CNG RUPTURED AND IT WENT DOWN THE STREET AND CAUGHT THE ORHER CARS ON FIRE
Yup
Cng dosnt do that. Looks like it was a diesel. Lng would boil off pretty quickly. Most likely an electrical fire that go to the hydraulic lines. And that fluid tricked down to the cars.
One time our trash truck hit a high spot in the road and knocked the fuel tank drain off. That trash truck drove a good block before the driver realized he was dumping diesel fuel on the road. I think the city had to pump out 6 sewer drains.
Lithium batteries
Thank god there weren't any EVs on the street. The neighborhood would still be burning.
Right? I wondered if the trash was an EV.
Probably magnets. When I worked for the trash industry we would find magnets all over that can create a fire in the right conditions.
Honestly I don't think it was an electrical fire but most likely it spread to other cars because as you know garbage cans have liquid in them. Like rotten fruit and all that stuff so if the liquid that's on fire move to a different location that's going to catch other cars even if it's only a little liquid because it's a car of course the car is going to catch
Got to be cheap Chinese lithium batteries
Probably someone put batteries in the trash can.
Aren’t you the same people that said homeless people are violent? Gfy
GME AMC
Good luck in getting the city to pay for damages anytime soon.
if they do get them to pay it’s going to take months for sure possibly even years
The hydraulics fuid contributed to the fast spread
Seriously- why are we just so trashy - that street needed to be cleaned- why just leave it like that - 🤯- in Japan 🇯🇵 people are very respectful to each other & the environment- even the homeless- not messy & trashy like here in USA.
So according to the reporter, the drivers of the burned cars aren't worried about their car being burned and any personal items inside it plus the trouble they're gonna go thru to get another car? Lol
also if getting to work and school are the only issue, they likely wouldn't even care about the car because they'll just take the bus/train
A busted hydrolic hose plus heat from engine
probably some chinese batteries.
If anything Gascon will make sure the residents get a five figure fine and no reimbursements. The reimbursements are saved for the criminals.
Are you proud of your ignorance?
@@jasminelindros8923you better believe in Christ talking all that

😢😢
The worst neighbors😅. no one had a hose or fire extinguisher lol or warned neighbors to move cars.
electric battery in the trash truck most likely...
Good luck getting paid
Blown hydraulic line. UA-cam it.
City gotta fork out new cars! FFS!
First and foremost I blame Congress and the car makers, no one needs a car that goes that fast! And yes that driver and all other drivers bear responsibility as well but, it starts with Congress and the car makers!
Its unhealthy the whole city is a dump with homeless
Sheesh
How do they know the trash truck started the fire? It could have been started by any of the other eleven cars that burned.
You must work for the cities insurance company. Already denying their claim. Hahaha 😎🎭✌️
Why should the city pay when some idiot on your street threw something in the trash that they shouldnt have?
Hydraulic fluid leak
THAT IS MY SRteet omg
I bet some idiot threw out some lithium ion batteries.
Murica.. y'all keep yalls wars and drama I'm here to help skinny bros 👍
Im sorry but reimbursements from the city could take over a year, and sometimes more. Look at those people whos houses were damage from the botch LAPD firework bomb from 3 years ago. Those people are still struggling. City so quick to collect a fine such as a parking ticket but when they need to cut a check and no interest forget it.
That reporter stating “ but at least 6 vehicles caught on fire”. Was she hoping more cars would have burned.
Taking it way out of context goofball.
She meant “at least” as in “a minimum of”
She means it may be 6 cars that burned down . 🔥 like if you ask how many cars burned down and i say , it was at least 6 😮
Yes
😮😮😮
Bros acting like his Volkswagen and smart at weren’t automatically total losses when he got them
Something like that car burning down is enough to make its owner homeless. This is the scourge of improper lithium-ion batteries disposal. Some goofball with rental scooters just dumped 10 of them in a dumpster and there you go...
Must've had a CCP EV in there...
Blown hydraulic line probably
Not the Sport Wagon! I still have my wrecked B5 Turbo Wagon. I refuse to get rid of it 😅
Amazing the are not given rentals next day. Yall live in hell.
