Art with Flo is all about digital art! Watch my tutorial videos about how to draw in painting software like Adobe Photoshop on PC and the app Procreate on iPad. I will tell you about basic drawing and painting techniques and show you how to tackle specific subjects, like how to draw eyes, lips, faces or even bananas! I'll show you how you can use Procreate brushes and how you can use layers in digital art. But the most important thing: Have fun!!
Find art inspiration everywhere around you and get motivated to draw! Anyone can learn how to draw, as long as you stay focused, be patient and practice a lot. Oh.. and watch the Art with Flo tutorial videos of course! - Навчання та стиль
Exactly what I was looking for. Specially the nose section, seeing how it transforms the colors smoothly really helped out!
That is so lovely to hear! 😀

I've been drawing all my life, but my drawings never got past the line art and base colors because I could never get the hang of painting and blending. But this tutorial was VERY helpful, now I have a better understanding of how to practice these techniques and hopefully apply them in the future. Thank you!
I was looking for like Where to find the blending tool
It’s next to the brush selector, it’s the finger icon
@@mangoslush2563 Ik but I mean like the right brushes to use like u did
Ik it’s off topic but I love wdw🥰😂
@@naimahmannan9522 SAME who long have u been a Limelight for and whos lane ya in
Why Don't We Edits i used to be a limelight 🥺
I’m a traditional illustrator but this was a helpful tutorial. 👍
“Like the nostrils. Those dark nose holes” LOL that made me laugh😅
This is the so far the best video on blending in digital painting. Thank you 😊
Flo, you get me SO excited to digitally paint!!! Thank you.
I'm so happy to hear that 😃
Just bought the ipad mini 5 today and I'm so excited that I can finally use Procreate!Thank you for your tutorial, hope I'll get use to procreate quickly.

I've always wondered how to make art like this in procreate. Finally found it! Thank you this was very helpful!
Thank you so much. This video gave me so much insight into blending and using various tools in procreate.
I'm so happy to hear that! I'm glad I could be of help
I love your tutorials! They're so helpful, and thanks for the brushes, too!
Thank you so so much for going over how you directionally do blending so so much. I feel like I leveled up within two minutes of that explanation.
Thank you Ms.Flo really appreciate these tips for better blending. Love the way you teach & explain each exercise. Very very informative. I'm some years late on Procreate & 2 yrs late seeing this post but I've been a freehand artist since I was 5. Your teaching will live on, no matter who gets to class late. :-) 😀 Keep up the Great work Ma'm
You knocked this video out! I have been struggling with blending colors for a while now. And this one video was a game changer. I can’t thank you enough. So...... THANK YOU a million times.
I’m so happy to hear that ☺️
Hey thanks for posting this video, I was looking for a nice blending tutorial for procreate. Thanks for going over how you do the diagonal strokes left to right and right to left then sometimes circular and then straight up and down. I’m going to start implementing that while I’m blending. Also thanks for the tips on using smudge tool vs using lower opacity brushes.
Thank you! I recently downloaded Procreate, so this was incredibly helpful!
Some of these tips would work for traditional art, too!
I love you you just saved my life. I wish I watched this video before making my first drawing on procreate today.
I am a professional graphic/web designer who just got an iPad Pro for Xmas. Always wanted to learn how to draw/paint. Wow, is there a lot to learn! This video was extremely helpful. The meat and potatoes of learning the basics helps shorten the learning curve. I am subscribed and ready to follow along. Thanks much!
Thank you. Excellent video. I'd love to learn more about blending modes i.e., multiply.
Thank you Flo! I just got my new Apple Pencil a few days ago and I’ve been having some...complications with blending and I’m a pretty young artist so my patience is probably lower than a lot of other artists so thanks for your help 😁😁😁
This is the best video I've seen on youtube about blinding. Thank you very much ❤️
Thank you so much! You explained everything so clearly and I loved all your examples.
Thank you so much. This is what I’m looking for! Very clear and easy to follow.
Very helpful tutorial 👍 One of the best I’ve seen on blending.
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear you like it 😊
I just started my own t spring to sell my art!!! So excited 😊
Excellent video as always, Flo!
Thank you! This was a perfect and clear tutorial for me (a beginner). Could you maybe explain the meaning of overlay layer?
This is so helpful Flo, thank you so much for this, love you 😘💖💙💚❤️🌹
I'm happy to hear that Gina, you're very welcome!
Best video about blending, I learned a huge amount of informations thanks to this!
Ur teaching techniques r very good n simple n it’s helps Lot for new beginners❤
WOW! This is very helpful. I will try it on my channel. Thank you! 👍
Thank you so much, that was short sweet and detailed.
...my procreate still downloading:
“Heh hi don’t mind me”
Love it! 😍
Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for unique ways to achieve blending. I appreciated being shown three good brushes to use. ( FYI stucco = STUCK oh. It's that rough plaster put on the outside of a house.) It's hard to tell that your English is probably your second language.
I previously watched your Paint Bucket video and used the Gaussian Blur to soften shading on a sphere and it became the best I've ever done. I also realized that you had made the basis of a gradient brush and suddenly I felt I knew a lot more about making custom brushes. You demonstrate different methods very well.
Thank you so much! And thanks for the tip 😉 English is indeed not my first language, I'm Dutch actually 😊
Thank flo your the best❗️
That pepper looks really, really lovely. I think the sharp edges and highlights of the pepper before it was blended looks very unique. I know the video was about blending and not the pepper, but if you could make a video on how you designed that pepper, that would be cool! 💕
Thankyou for these helpful tips!
Great video again!! You have some of the best!
Thank you so much!
This was really good thank you so much ❤
This helped me so much, i love you for this
I'm so happy to hear that ❤

Super practical tutorial. Merci
.
Hi Flo, love your videos and can’t wait to try out these techniques when my apple pencil arrives - do you have a tutorial taking us through the motions of painting such a perfect nose though?? That would be amazing and a great place for inexperiences artists such as myself to begin.. thanks!!
Superb... This is what i want
Thank you! I'm glad to hear you like it
That actually helped. Thank you
That was very helpful thank you!
Awesome video I’m really excited to use pro create 😊
You mention the Flo Brush - I don’t see that as a brush in Procreate - is there a different name? Thanks for this great tutorial. Very well done and easy to follow.
That’s what sucks must about procreate there’s really few brushes you gotta make your own or buy them from others which sucks big time, it’s way easier with ibis paint
@@jonafave8167 idk what u r talking about 1. procreate already has A LOT of already installed brushes, there's over 200 brushes that they give u for free! 2. at least u can make brushes in procreate, u can't do that in ibis paint!
@@mohuababar4081 the brushes in procreate are so simple and most artists (including me) don't need 90% of them.
I learned so much! Thank you ^^
Oh my goodness your video was so helpful!!!😭😁
Thank you for this video!!!!!
You are very welcome, I'm glad you like it!
Very helpful this helped so much thank you
you defintely earned a subscriber you are a good instructor
Thank you so much, that is a lovely compliment ❤
Beautiful!!!
Thax!!!
When you see the likes and dislikes ratio in this video you can realize artists are the most grateful kind of human.
Great job
Can you please do a video on where to put highlights and shadows? That would help me a lot! Sorry if you already have, and I just haven’t seen it, but I struggle with shadows and highlights, and you’re really great at teaching this kind of thing, so just a suggestion for you.
loved it.
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that 😊
I’m late but this is really helpful thank you so much
@Baekhyun is a precious bean Yes and I can also totally agree with your name
Love it 😊
You saved my life that’s a million🤧
Amazing video
Dear Flo, your lessons have been a real treasure for me. and although English is not my native language, you share your knowledge so easily and simply that I easily understand you. but it saddens me that I can't buy your brushes and additional lessons. My family is from Ukraine, but now we live in Russia, and because of the sanctions, I am not able to pay on patrion, my cards do not pass. I really hope for the world to come soon and for the opportunity to learn even more about digital painting with the help of your lessons. In the meantime, I will continue to take free lessons on UA-cam and will share the results on Instagram and mark you in my drawings, hoping that you will mark them on your channel. You are the best teacher for me.
Great channel with useful content.
Thanks!
thanks you so much...
I’m new to your videos and digital art, but I love all your videos I’ve watched so far :) also, we have the same sweater :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice tips. Cheers 👍
The best
Thank You very much ! (Jancry from France)
Excellent video thank you! I am happy to subscribe you are awesome! The word is “stuck-O’🙃
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear you like the video. And thank you for the correction, always learning 😉
“This is the moment where you blend colours”
hi Flo, which brush did you use for blending ? Can you please do a watercolour tutorial ? I find blending watercolour also very challenging. Dank je wel!
I think she used the Stucco brush in the paint section
Great Video, keep it up!
Although i have to point the irony that is that Rubiks cube - Doesnt blend well, keeps distracting me XD
Flo you are a genius! The gouache blending was the exact thing I was looking for to finish my piece
Very helpful vid! Thank you. Where do you set the brush opacity to pen pressure?
Same question.
Same question.
Thank you so much for this video!!! But, I was wandering what blending tool are you using?
Good video, I had to speed up the narration to 2x though. Good stuff.
Thank you for the useful video, I have a question - how do you setup that the opacity related to the pen pressure? Thank you :)
butterflyralu Actions, preferences, edit pressure curve
Thank you so much! =^o^= I'm still learning how to use Procreate, and can't find any good blending tutorials out there yet! I never thought to lower the opacity for the blending brush, definitely will give that a try!
I'm glad you like it! Good luck blending 😀
amazing. the best blending tutorial ever. also i want to eat that pepper lol
if you want some good blending then you should try a normal brush as a blending tool and not the smudge tool :)
@@TheChameleon2008 When it comes to Photoshop, that surely is the case. But Procreate's smudge tool is doing a really nice job (which I totally didn't expect when starting out with Procreate after using normal brushes in Photoshop for 10 year ;))
@@ArtwithFlo yea for sure! But i have found some pretty amazing blend brushes that create more crisp blends rather then normal smudge/blur tool. No doubt that procreate 5 will do a even better job :) im soooo hyped!
very insightful, whats crazy to me is that there are still so so many techniques not discussed. otherwise we would be here for hours
Good video
Hello Flo! I have a question! But witch blending brushes or blinding stuff in the menu please help thank you 😊
