Flo, I am having Trouble! :( In your 3rd layer where you duplicate your Ellipse bubble, I follow exactly the steps and when i touch the original bubble , the effect is a black bubble with a light blue background, so it does not copy...I have gone over all your steps perfectly and it does not work. One difference I do see is Under the Automatic, there is Add,remove, invert...yours said " feather " mine is on ADD, i tried to take that off but can't, and I don't know if it makes a difference or not. I love LOVE your tutorials and REALLY want to do this one and this is stopping me.

I dont know if anyone still faces the problem with the second layer...I struggled so bad but now i got it. before you make the selction you have to go back to the layer with the white circle. There you set the selction to automatic und click. The Layer with the circle has to be the one active. Hope that helped any of you.
I am having the same problem, using the automatic selection tool. So far am still not able to use it in the same way as Flo does- but thank you so much for your advice. :)

I have been having the same issue, so when it comes to automatic, I just ignore and it and turn off the second layer and I’m able to shade inside the bubble on layer 3

Idk what I’m doing wrong but for the first part of coloring the bubble the ribbon thing won’t work for me to keep my colors in the bubble

That happened to me to, but if it doesnt work, just put it on a new layer, and select alpha lock on the layer the bubble is in. Hope this helped

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong in the 1st step of selecting the circle. When in the selection I had my color fill selected so it was not allowing me just to select the circle when adding the first blue color. Figured this out after getting frustrated and moving on to the planet tutoring. I hope this helps someone else having difficulties with that 1st selection step in adding the color to your bubble!

this is helping me so much! I do have procreate pocket (a cheaper version of procreate) but the result is not much different. I am very new to procreate pocket but you make it so much easier

The selection in the second layer doesn't work for me and drawing on the third layer doesn't work for me. Any one else facing the same problem?
Im having the same problem. I put alfa lock on a new layer, but now I can't put the flare highlight to show on the background and the bubble.

To everyone Here, I had trouble too but here is how I solved it. I first filled in the bubble white then one I liked the shape, I filled it in the background color then put alpha lock on and bam! It works!

Hey Flo! I love your tutorials, Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge. I have a problemi with this one though. I cannot follow around minute 3 when you explain how to select the circle on another layer. It doesn't work for me. When I paint it paints all over the layer, not in the selection. Please could you give me advise? I cannot figure out what is wrong. What is the next step after you select automatic? thanks a lot :)

Flo When you are done with your artwork you can do the magic wang and go to sharpen to 100% to make your artwork better

Cool but how did you get the brush to make the edges fade? I used the same brush and everything but when I try to make the blue and pinkish lines it doesn’t look smooth

Hello! I’m not sure if you would know or not but I cannot get past the initial circle making with the “ribbon” button option. I have tried about six times. When I add the third layer and click on that ribbon button, I go and click on the circle initially made and my entire screen turns blue. It has the “add” button highlighted under (automatic/freehand/rectangle/ellipse) on that tool and that is the only thing I can see that’s different. I cannot unhighlight it. Any ideas?

You need to have an active selection of the circle

Early in the video, (around the 1:55 minute time) when you use the Selection Tool Ellipse feature, and tap the screen to make it a circle. Does not work on my Procreate screen, it stays an ellipse. Is there a way to turn this feature on/off?
