Thanks for another great how-to on these birds. I think my car is missing that limit switch on the pull down motor, have to get one to see if the setup will work or if it's missing something else to run.
Looks like the function of the C6 Corvette Convertible Tonneau pull down motor. Thank you! the plastic housing on mine is shattered. I appreciate your explanation of the function of the switches. The Corvette has a pad on the cutoff switch. No idea of its size or composition as mine is gone. Probably why the case shattered
I have seen the cases break also a friend of mine on Facebook made a video on how he put the case back together with super glue then fiber glasses the outside of the case
My trunk pull down doesn’t work I got a used one but the clear plastic is cracked. It was left out side and it rained so it got wet how do I test it to see if it got messed up? I am going to have to swap the clear plastic out where the gears go.
The switch on the trunk lid isn’t engaging. It’s called the trunk open warning switch. I’ve searched for it, but I can’t find it anywhere for the 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood model. It seems like it stops at the 1993 model. Any ideas?
I havnt seen any of the switches in the after market yet only in junk yards you can try cleaning the contacts with contact cleaner and a soft wire brush
Not at the moment it's pretty easy go under the car at the back bumper push the clip on the light and turn it to pull the bulb out then there are 6 screws that need to be pulled out I belive they are 7 or 8 mm and the light assembly will come out
