Best time to fly is golden hour morning or evening where filters are not a good idea. Filming in the bright sun of midday requires filters to bring down the shutter speed to achieve the 180 degree rule. But this also has flat images which are boring.Too many drone users are messing up exposure with filters and manual modes. Better to fly in the golden hour for more dramatic effect. Auto mode in golden hour with setting your White balance to your preferred setting will give excellent results with this drone.
Sure, filters may not be required all of the time but even in certain ‘golden hour’ situations they may be. This morning I needed an nd16 and the sun had been up maybe 25-30 minutes.
In my opinion, setting your camera to auto, regardless of camera, especially when shooting in log is one of the worst things you can do. It’s very easy for a camera to misjudge a scene in terms of exposure
I can’t get enough of this drone 👌🏻 but got a new DJI Avata video in the works!
Don't have the Mavic 3 Classic (yet), but it does look nice 😲. Just the Mavic 2 Pro and the Mini 3 Pro, both of which I use Freewell ND filters for. You can crank up the shutter speed to reduce exposure but it's way way better to keep to the 180 rule with the help of the ND's to keep your footage looking silky smooth. Thanks Danny, another great vid. Keep em coming :-). That Mavic 3 does look nice................but having just ordered an A7Rv I'd better earn some more money before splashing out on a new drone LOL.
Hahaha! Yeahh it looks great and definitely helps having ND’s on the front of the camera.
Nooooo, just buy one… you only live once right? 😂😂 thanks for watching!
@@DannyBligh stop it, you’ve cost me enough money already 🤣🤣🤣. “There’s three people in this marriage.” Says Kirsty. “Me, you, and someone called Sonny, or something like that 🤣🤣😎.
How do these compare with the ND filters that DJI sells? I just ordered the Mavic 3 Classic along with their ND filters; should have checked these Freewell filters out first...
I have both! I ordered the DJI ones a week after getting the Mavic. They are fine mate! You won’t be disappointed. These just have that edge as you have the cpl feature as well as nd on 4 of them
@@DannyBligh Thanks for the info!
The Freewell Filters are the best out of them done a few comparison reviews on them against other brands and these came out the best !
Absolutely!! I’m super pleased with how they perform. It’s easy to get colour cast in your image from filters but with these Freewell ones, they seem fine. Thanks for watching mate!
Quick question, why did you go for the Freewell rather than the Polar Pro? Im trying to decide 😅
@@rogeliorogel8690I'll be 100% honest you won't be disappointed with either brand they are both great after testing both I went for the Freewell on all my drones and have got them last week for my New Mavic 3 Pro as well. The reason why is the quality and case feel better the performance and colour shift are similar and lastly they cost less which is something I don't just go for as it is no good paying less if they are pooh 😂
@@HiethGeorge awesome! Super helpful! I was worried about any colour shifts, it happens with some filters and you get a purple tint like the DJi filters that came with the Mavic Air2s
