Fun fact: Eminem won an Oscar for this song! Won for "Best Music, Original Song" in the 2003 academy awards, and was the first hip-hop/rap song to get this award
In the movie when you see him writing a song he is actually writing this song. You can faintly hear little bits of the song as he is working on it throughout the movie and the full song plays as the credits start rolling. At this time he was sleeping like one to three hours a night because he was helping write the script, recording the movie, writing and recording songs, and editing; mastering; and producing the soundtrack all at once. This is the time when he got hooked on sleep medication because he’d have to use it to take naps between scenes during the day.
Just the fact he was in a movie with Anthony Mackie and Mekhi Phifer two amazing actors in their own right and he held his own is amazing! This song has and still gets me through a lot of shit in life! Great reaction!
I remember back boxing I won my first fight lost my 2nd fight then my third fight. The forth fight I was so worried about losing again being embarrassed in front off friends and family etc. While I was warming up I had this song on my headphones right until my trainer started doing padwork etc to get my muscles moving etc.i went out in that fight and destroyed my opponent. Almost like this song gave me tunnel vision and the motivation to forget my fears and do what I had to do in that ring

This is amazing! As a dedicated Eminem fan since 1999 I See a great amount of reaction videos. Yours is by far my favorite chanel! I can not describe how much your videos has impacted me, not only as a fan, but as a father. I took for granted that I knew all of his lyrics, but you enlighten them in a whole new perspective, and I truly appreciate, and applaud that❤ I remember watching you first Eminem reaction, Stan, and I can’t help but smile and feel good when I see how you have evolved to become a hardcore fan yourself😅 You are doing an amazing job, and I can guarantee that your mental health work is more important to humans all over the world than you will ever understand. Please never stop this! To see you do an interview with him wold be fantastic! I will also recommend, and humbly request you to break down Careful What You Wish For“ - I know you will love that😃 Wish you an amazing day, greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
The first verse is about Jimmy Smith Jr AKA B-Rabbit, the character Em played in the movie 8 Mile. That's why it's in third person. The second verse is Em imagining Rabbit finding fame after the movie ends and living a life very like his own. The third verse is Em talking about himself, so it switches to first person.
The opening…it’s just one of those immediately recognizable, iconic, things. It’s in my motivational, anthem type, playlist along with higher. Would love to see you react to Higher or Walk on Water
I was 11 when this film came out and the emotions I felt then have stuck with me to this very day. If anything at 31, I just feel it more intensely on a deeper level. Both Eminem and the film are impactful in ways I don't yet understand within myself. Anyway, 8 Mile is one of my top favourite films of all time❤🔥A timeless classic.

Yes! Back to the B-rabbit 8mile days, where "Shady" was born. This is one of many, I committed to Ver Batem memory. Highly recommend that you go watch "8-Mile", to get some context into Eminem's early life. Furthermore, Eminem turned down the role to be in "Southpaw", that Jake Gyllenhaal ended up starring in. However, he instead, agreed to do the whole soundtrack for that movie. Not to mention, the Venom and Venom II soundtrack (highly recommend "Last One Standing" from Venom II 🔥🔥🔥).
I believe he turned down the role in "Elysium" (2013 sci-fi movie) too. He asked it to be filmed in Detroit since he didnt want to be away for soo long.
It is one of the best songs ever, Em was on fire when wrote this. But you know what I listen to when I need to really get pumped up to do something? "Can't Be Touched" by Roy Jones Jr., and yes, that is the boxer. That one really makes you feel like he probably felt in the ring, invincible.
Comes all back to his best friend proof , he was the one who made him believe he had it and kept pushing and pushing dre just gave him the platform, but proof is why we have the Eminem today
such an all time classic. even watching this while chilling, it’s impossible still not to feel pumped up lol. especially watching you get hyped listening to it. and you definitely should watch 8 mile. you would really enjoy it to see what he had to go through, and just how his life was.

Truth: your channel just came in my feed today and it was Em’s Stan. Honestly I was talking back to you on it but I loved your honest shock at how the song ended. I wish you had done the video with it. This is the 2nd that came into my feed (love YT algorithms right) and you got me subscribed and all notifications 😊.. I’m going into a deep dive if your vids now. If you haven’t already, Linkin Park, Foofighters, FFDP, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Elton John…etc would be great! Real Q- Music is my therapy. I find music expresses all my feelings. Is it ok that I love hard rock and metal as a way to calm down? Can’t wait to see more of what y’all have done and will do. Fun fact: EM is in the Guinness Book of world records for most words sang in a song for Rap God. (He was when that came out, not sure if someone had outed his place yet)
Check out the rest of Ems new albums, they're genius, so beautiful. Yeah this song is amazing. It really fills your spirit. Great song, I love your reaction it's awesome!
Look into supernatural Jared padalecki's AKF movement. His story and the whole AKF has really legitimately kept me going when I didn't want to or felt I couldn't.
i know i'm pretty late to the reaction, but i highly recommend watching the movie if you haven't, tom. "8 mile" is the title of the movie, and it somewhat depicts em's life coming up as a white battle rapper in a dominantly black industry.
Loved the video. Just to let you know that there's an alternate version to this song (demo version) that he doesn't even remember recording, you can find it on UA-cam.
Please listen to the 8 mile end battle all of it please 😭 , congratulations on 200K you deserve it and more is coming . We love your work and we share it , much love .
There’s been some complaints that the videos aren’t as deep anymore, I felt the same. I think you did a very good job with this video. Deeper analysis while also enjoying the song Keep it up sir, we love you
I understand what you mean, but in my opinion, it’s not about him being deep or not. It’s about the songs he choose to break down. When you get funny, goofy, or just raw Eminem songs like The Ringer, Godzilla, or Rap God, you can’t expect the same deep result as you get from his position, breaking down songs as Mockingbird, Cleaning Out My Closet, or When I’m Gone. The value in him breaking down this songs is without a doubt 100% that he has not heard them before. Therefore he can’t choose what songs that will give depth to the breakdown, and which wont☺️ but yes, we do love and support his work👏🏻

You definitely need to watch 8 mile, it’s a great movie, it’s LOOSELY based on Eminem’s life, definitely watch it as soon as u can, and u should post a UA-cam video after watching it discussing it like a review.
I honestly want to see at least one 9f the artists that you listen to, to be on one of of your videos. That would be amazing if you could start a steady stream of all the artists you listen to and they could be right there with you! Can you imagine what it would be like??
90s kid Here.. Grew up with him and all i can tell you is that the lose yourself Eminem is not the rap god Eminem. Literally they are different persons
Very cool reaction. The best I have watched so far for this song. But man! you made me laugh so hard at the beginning. I remember my dad doing the same "cool" moves to this type of music, he calls it "rocking it!". haha ❤
You really should react to the music video for aint it funny by danny brown. Probably the most direct, visceral, and shocking display of mental illness in any hiphop song ever. I think it would be really interesting to hear your take on it.
Fun fact: Eminem won an Oscar for this song! Won for "Best Music, Original Song" in the 2003 academy awards, and was the first hip-hop/rap song to get this award

He's grown farther from home, he's no father
He goes home and barely knows his own daughter
But hold your nose cause here goes the cold water
These hoes don't want him no mo', he's cold product
They moved on to the next schmoe who flows
He nose-dove and sold nada, and so the soap opera
is told, it unfolds, I suppose it's old partner
But the beat goes on da-da-dum da-dum da-dah
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
No more games, Imma change what you call rage
Tear this motherfuckin roof off like two dogs caged
I was playin in the beginning, the mood all changed
I've been chewed up and spit out and booed off stage
But I kept rhymin and stepped right in the next cypher
Best believe somebody's payin the pied piper
All the pain inside amplified by the
fact that I can't get by with my nine to
five and I can't provide the right type of
life for my family, cause man, these God damn
food stamps don't buy diapers, and there's no movie
There's no Mekhi Phifer, this is my life
And these times are so hard, and it's gettin even harder
Tryin to feed and water my seed plus, teeter-totter
Caught up between bein a father and a pre-madonna
Baby momma drama screamin on her too much for me to wanna
stay in one spot, another day of monotony
has gotten me to the point, I'm like a snail I've got
to formulate a plot, or end up in jail or shot
Success is my only motherfuckin option, failure's not
Mom I love you but this trailer's got to go
I cannot grow old in Salem's Lot
So here I go it's my shot, feet fail me not
This may be the only opportunity that I got
[Chorus]
[Outro]
You can do anything you set your mind to, man.
You've gotta see the real music video from Eminem (it's 15 years ago). There's also a small documentary on the creation of said video
Thank you for your channel Tom you can tell you are a therapist who truly cares about his patients and other people I watch your channel all the time especially when I feel down would love to have a conversation with you much love brother thank you
Bring on the Eminem. The only thing I can ask is more Eminem and Linkin Park! :)
It was proof eminem best mate that give him tye convidence to escape that life r.i.p proof we all need a friends like that! Respect keep ya head up bros💪
Eminem is a lyrical genius 🙇♀️🙇♀️
You gotta watch the movie if you haven't yet. Also, mom's spaghetti is now basically a diner in Detroit.
His record was broken... by him.
You’re my favorite reactor. Eminem’s music saved my life.
I would highly recommend watching 8 Mile. Fantastic movie.
One of the best rap songs ever !
You just make me happy…
Check out the rest of Ems new albums, they're genius, so beautiful. Yeah this song is amazing. It really fills your spirit. Great song, I love your reaction it's awesome!
I’m just now seeing this !!!! Finally a reaction to my all time favorite song ! From Eminem
I wish I had an uncle like you. Gonna be a great hype man!
Congrats on 200k !! Love the reactions
MORE EMINEM!
Great reaction to an infamous song. It ALWAYS gets me hyped! 🔥😎❤️ The movie really explain his life...RUN DON'T WALK TO SEE IT!!
Ok that’s my homework 😊👍
It's not about his life but sure there are a lot of similarities ☺️
@@septembergirlworld Its based on situations from his life with other non-real aspects filtered in
Why infamous? infamous is famous in a bad way. This song is just famous!
The reality song and the only one you can depend to is yourself
Gotta listen to 8 mile road. One of his best songs, he raps about the movie and it seems like he described the movie
Please listen to the 8 mile end battle all of it please 😭 , congratulations on 200K you deserve it and more is coming . We love your work and we share it , much love .
congrats on 200k
Elton John had a road in Eminems recovery
*A normal life is boring but superstardom is close to post mortem*
Best friend Yelawolf ft Eminem one of his best
You should watch the movie 8 Mile, it's where all the clips in this video are from. It's based on Eminem's early life.
Tom is all of us I swear. Ready to run through a brick wall lolol
The video is just glimpses of the movie. Pleeeeeeeeeeease just damn watch it already!!! 😭😭😭😭😂😂
20 minute reaction? What did I do to be this spoiled ?!
😂😂👍
Congratulations with the 200K subscribers!
There’s been some complaints that the videos aren’t as deep anymore, I felt the same. I think you did a very good job with this video. Deeper analysis while also enjoying the song
Keep it up sir, we love you
I understand what you mean, but in my opinion, it’s not about him being deep or not.
Therefore he can’t choose what songs that will give depth to the breakdown, and which wont☺️ but yes, we do love and support his work👏🏻
You really should react to 8 mile road. That's the song that should win the Oscar
Thanks for the words of wisdom.
Em is amazing
Please watch the movie, it's a great movie resembles his life.
BEST REACTION.... thankyou for for your
perspective about the BRILLIANT LYRICS 😘🤗
I know you run more of a music reaction channel, but I’d love to see a movie reaction video to 8 mile
you should react to his verses in the rap battles next. they're awesome
Your becoming a Stan 😁, can't listen to Em and not get lost in the world he creates with Music 🎶
200k let’s goo
I do not want to see another Eminem reaction until you see this movie!!!
You have to watch the movie. One of the greatest of all time.
This is what i needed... go to take a leap...
Do a flip
[Intro]
Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
Yo
[Verse 1]
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface, he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting
What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's chokin', how? Everybody's jokin' now
The clock's run out, time's up, over, blaow
Snap back to reality, ope, there goes gravity
Ope, there goes Rabbit, he choked, he's so mad
But he won't give up that easy, no, he won't have it
He knows his whole back's to these ropes, it don't matter
He's dope, he knows that, but he's broke, he's so stagnant
He knows when he goes back to this mobile home, that's when it's
Back to the lab again, yo, this old rhapsody
Better go capture this moment and hope it don't pass him
Would love to see your reaction to the 8 mile movie, esp from a mental heath pro.
From the gutter to a world legend 💥💥💥
You definitely need to watch 8 mile, it’s a great movie, it’s LOOSELY based on Eminem’s life, definitely watch it as soon as u can, and u should post a UA-cam video after watching it discussing it like a review.
I honestly want to see at least one 9f the artists that you listen to, to be on one of of your videos. That would be amazing if you could start a steady stream of all the artists you listen to and they could be right there with you! Can you imagine what it would be like??
Now you've got to do song '8 mile'. It's really inspirational too
200k? Bet you are an amazing person and reactor
congrats to 200k, I know requests are done on the live stream but check out my dad's gone crazy, probably one of my favorites.
Next party will be 500k it will happen soon I know it ❤️
Yep, yep YEP 😂 I love it, NEW SUB! 🙌❤️
you should react to Quadecas song called Born Yesterday. The music video is incredible, and the song is amazing aswell.
200k let's gooooo
You should react to Geto Boys - Mind playing tricks on me. Would love to hear your insight on one of my favorite songs from the 90s
You should watch all the final rap battles from the movie
Or the whole movie. It’s a deep pool of mental health for you to dive in for sure
The Absolute Rap 🐐: Eminem 👏❤🔥
90s kid Here..
Grew up with him and all i can tell you is that the lose yourself Eminem is not the rap god Eminem. Literally they are different persons
Very cool reaction. The best I have watched so far for this song. But man! you made me laugh so hard at the beginning. I remember my dad doing the same "cool" moves to this type of music, he calls it "rocking it!". haha ❤
Wait until you hear his song Higher
Next milestone 300k🙏🏽You’ll get there fast
President Barack Obama listen to this song before rallies when running for president 🐐🐐👍
YOU HAVENT SEEN 8 MILE YET!?!?!?
You really should react to the music video for aint it funny by danny brown. Probably the most direct, visceral, and shocking display of mental illness in any hiphop song ever. I think it would be really interesting to hear your take on it.
What it means to me, as an over thinker, is to just jump in!
Gotta do Eminem - Beautiful…won’t regret it
