the Texas Hill members are Craig Wayne Boyd, he was the first one to sing & he won the voice some years ago. Casey James is the guitar player and Adam Wakefield is the piano player. Tim went to one of their concerts-loved them. After the concert, Tim was introduced to them by a mutual friend. Now they have opened for Home Free several times and will be joining HF at the Ryman tomorrow.
He won the 7th season but what made people really take notice is when he sang "Old Rugged Cross" Also has Adam Wakefield in this group who was runner up a season or two after Craig won both on Blake's teams
There's another collaboration of Home Free and Texas Hill of "Dreamer" that I'm sure you'd enjoy. I know so little about singing (I'm a helpful listener...) that I really enjoy your explanations of how the singers are doing what they're doing! Thanks!
Oh, Jennifer…their newest release…”MARY DID YOU KNOW”…. Is pure awesomeness…..I know you will Love it 🥰‼️🥰. They definitely put the Home Free spin on it…..it gave me chills, it’s so Amazingly done ☦️🥰‼️
Such a sweet, harmonious surprise for our ears! Home Free is always helping new people, and Texas Hill sounds awesome! I'm gonna keep on listening to this one way past Christmas!! 🔥💯🤯💖
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I LOVE #HomeFree, & I love this collaboration with Texas Hill. It has a sort of jazzy but cheerful & fun feel to it, & it makes me want to hear it & sing to it all the time! I feel kind of silly since it’s a Christmas song, but it’s just so fun & very pleasing to the ear! @Jennifer thanks for the wonderful reviews of our #HomeFreeGuys! Glad you enjoy them as much as we do. They are obviously incredibly talented, but they also have beautifully-hearted, God-loving men that love their fans as much as their families & friends. That’s part of what makes them so special! ❤️❤️❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻#HomeFryForLife
Keep smiling and loving what your hearing , with your smile and reaction just transform my bad day change into a happy heartwarming day . Keep them coming love Home free
That bass line that Tim is singing in the little acappella part at the end -- I'm sure it appears in many genres, but it's an often used motif in the Southern Gospel genre that they call a "walking bass" line. Perfect fit for an old spiritual.
First time hearing Home Free and Texas Hill ! I loved their vocal different interactions and their interpretation of this spiritual hymn ! This was a free wheeling ( sorry for the pun lol) and fun video ! Their voices are so different and their rich beautifully blended tones were fantastic ! The arrangement of the song with intervals and timing made this song snappy , captivating and memorable ! Jenn as always your reaction and analysis were spot on ! I enjoyed these guys and want to thank you for expanding my musical horizon ! Have a great week and keep posting ! 🤗👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
I got to hear this performed live about 2 weeks ago. Texas Hill opened for Home Free at a concert I attended. They're pretty good. Then they came back out later & performed this with Home Free. It sounded even better live! BTW, check out Tim Foust's solo release, "Come Go With Me". As a vocal coach, you can really appreciate it. It's from an all-Tim, all-acapella album that he just released. He sings all the parts - leads, harmonies, backup, etc. And does them all so well.
If you have not already heard it, would love to hear your reaction to Home Free's version of "Do You Hear What I Hear" - arranged by Adam Rupp. It is ... progressively surprising.
Texas Hill is a newer group formed in 2020. 2 of the members were on The Voice , one was on American Idol. They opened for Home Free in concert during their Warmest Winter tour.
It’s the catchy beat that makes me smile. Texas Hill and Home Free have put a fun, honkytonk spin on this song that I tused to think was just an okay song. Now the harmonies and solos are great, the instruments and vocal percussion are fabulous and this is a new Favorite for me. Thanks for your analysis and your reaction
That was quite a fun reaction Jen, good job - loved it! These two groups mesh well together. Then again, I think just about any vocal group would mesh well with Home Free. They're a really talented and amazing vocal group. My favorite A Capella group in fact.
If you'd like to see what else Texas Hill can do watch them singing Sugar Cane - Live version! I'd never heard of them as a group or individually before this collab with Home Free, but they are super talented.
Heard Texas Hill with Home Free in Cheyenne about a month ago. What a fantastic concert! Home Free is Home Free (out of this world fantastic), but I was very impressed with Texas Hill. Go check them out, if you get a chance!
Great review Jen! If you haven't seen it yet, please check out "Elvira" which was a true acapella collab with the Oak Ridge Boys. If doing a song with country royalty isn't enough of a hook, then know it was also arranged by none other than Geoff Castellucci.
This is a toe tapper. A bluesy type rendition. Loved it. Home Free is promoting Texas Hill as they’ve been doing some openings for Home Free at some of their concerts. The singers of Texas Hill have been on American Idol and the Voice. It was a nice combination having those three with Home Free. Good reaction Jennifer. Try Mary Did You Know by Home Free…it’s stunning.
Good reaction my friend...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...The passion and dedication when interpreting a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a light lyric soprano with a great vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on UA-cam covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Floor Jansen, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....Thank you.
Home Free: Do You Hear What I Hear arranged by founder, beatboxer, and a favorite tenor, Adam Rupp is a must listen! It is my favorite vocal cover of all time! Phenomenal! Thank you from a new subscriber! 😁
Jen - I love how much you enjoyed this song and your reactions are honest, pure, informative and such a treat to watch. I enjoyed the song and your video is so fun and happy too! Keep with Home Free and I'll be watching you all the time! Chuck in NE Kansas, USA
GREAT singing, a pinch of SOUL, Just A Tad Of Gospel lending itself to the very brilliant Musicianship of the Hill Gang ..... makes Home Free mechanized in concerted effort to amaze ..... and of course JESUS CHRIST IS BORN the topic ...... a bit like Sunday Morning.
been a fan of CWB since he won The Voice years ago, discovered Home Free 2 years ago in lock down and now they do this! Hope they do a European Tour together!!
Hi Jennifer - I just subscribed to your reaction channel and like the stuff I've seen so far .... I looked at your website and didn't seem to see any "Post Modern Jukebox" videos ... They are a evolving/revolving group with a small core and many featured guests ...... I very much enjoy their arrangements of all types of songs done their way. Might I suggest their covers of - "All About the Bass" - "Creep" feat. Hailey Reinhart - "Dream On" feat. Morgan James (my personal favorite ...... Thanks and keep discovering new artist and styles .....
There are some others you should see of theirs. My Church, The Butts Remix, Still Haven't Found What I'm Lookin For, Can't Stop the Feeling (real fun one).
Great video Jennifer, as usual. Had to laugh at 5:02 when you got sucked in and thought you were a member of Home Free and could sing in their key ... "Go tell it on the ... it's too low. One second ..." 😂 Your videos are always so much fun to watch!
This reaction was so much fun to watch. I loved seeing you bounce your head on the 2nd "Go" for "Go tell it on the Mountain." That was so much fun to watch. Merry Christmas!
Jen - your reaction just made me a subscriber!!! Loved the emotion you showed during a most wonderful rendition. They also really had me on the "scoop" at the end.... SUPER ending. You really need to listen to their most recent drop : "Mary Did You Know?" This version of unbelievable harmonies not to mention the best arrangement I've ever heard and that's saying a lot for me... I didn't think PTX's arrangement could be topped but it has IMHO, with this arrangement - and that's taking nothing away from PTX... I'll look forward to your reaction. Merry Christmas from Atlanta GA USA! RichieC 😎🎄
Thanks for another fun HF reaction! I kind of hate that you did this song, when they have recently released Brothers in Arms and Mary Did you Know.... a couple of songs with much more vocal amazement that I believe you would love breaking down, but I’ll hold my breath, and hope you do those too at some point soon!
If you haven’t reacted to it yet, please react to “Cold Hard Cash” by Home Free! It’s an original of theirs, and the video shows their incredible sense of humor! It’s so much fun!!!

So, without any further, let's go straight to the comment. I AM SO EXCITED! OK young lady, now you're stealing adjectives from my era! "Groovy" is OUR term but. I guess we will share it with you. Just because you're so darn cute and make the best facial expressions, don't get the idea that you can steal all of our era's identities! It was fun watching you enjoy this song. Have a fun day!

Another wild piano, part of the same herd as the piano in If I Met You Now. They have been bred in captivity, however.
You had so much fun on this one , love the reactions . Never stop smiling
I just love your reaction. You have so much fun.
