Where I live are two scrap yards. One shows the weight when you are on the scale and the other does not. I go to the one that does not have the digital showing weigh in. When I pulled onto the scale, my truck rocked back and forth. From the front to the back like a teeter tottering. My truck was squating so I knew I had a heavy load. Well it was only 200 pounds. They told me nothing was wrong with their scale. I'm kind of frustrated.
I have 3 hvac buddies, they ask $5 each unit for acs or dehumidifiers, I make it up in the long run, rather than a $10k fine. My scrapyarf has a loyalty card program, I make an extra nickel/# when I cash non ferrous in, I stack compressors and motors. It's worth the non risk as a part time scrapper
tin-shred fell to $310/ton CAD$ today, a steady slide down from May's high of $420/ton As Jerome hammers home "Higher for Longer" so money is money again at these interests rates again. Watch for all assets classes falling from new vehicles, used vehicles, houses and oil. $310 Canadian is about $226.14/ton in American funds. How many yards are above $225/ton in the US?
Absolutely nobody is paying $225 per ton for refrigerators water heaters and other shred appliances $275 per ton for Auto cast Also is your ton 2000 pounds or is it a metric ton which is something like 2250 pounds
@@steelisthemeal metric ton which I read is 2,205 pounds. Crap, now have to make new calculation to compare. I suppose I can divide price per pound to see a per pound price.
If I am getting .14 cents CAD per pound = Tom should be paying .1021 cents per pound US$. Check my math please but by my calculations Tin-shred at a tier-1 yard is at least .10 cents per pound American at the beginning of October 2023. 1 CAD$ = .73 US$
plastic has to be sorted by numbers 1 to 7 then that number sorted by virgin ,white, colors, black or specialty certain color or blend. kinda like metal no contamination (paper, metal, mix plastic or resins food etc.) a good to start is your states d.e.p site. most buyers want it in regrind form and want it in 53 foot semis in gaylord boxes. average price range 6 to 20 cents a lb . their is more money in reproduction of regrinds for that i would look into precious plastic on youtube. main tools needed are a sheet press injection machine and shredder and a press. i have done my homework on it. number 7 plastic is usually bailed and shipped over seas but you can create a market on it.
I brake everything down to make most money on all my metals I’m holding on to battery right now because 1 dollar a battery little shit last bare bright price I got 3 dollars lb
Curious about the demand curve given all the bunkers being built in Europe right now. Also, the comex has been dumping inventory. Aware they don't hold as much as lme. Still something to factor in.
I need to watch your videos more often 🤙🌺🐗👍🍀
Glad you like them!
.54 for clean sheet, .27 for 70% Aluminum sheet, and electric motors up to .26 at my yard in Arizona

Does the auto scrap series address motor bikes? Recently found 2 aluminum rims, I don't know how to remove the steel bearing hub from.
We weren;t able to touch of motor bikes in this series. Hopefully something soon
