to stop the bits put a bag around the filter before removing it from the tank :)
Cool tank, I like the natural look. You could try putting the net over the filter from the bottom, before u lift the filter, that way, all the debris will go straight into the net, worth a try.
Will try..
My understanding as to why filters contain 2 sponges, is not to clean both at the same time; basically you clean one vigorously and leave the other one with the bacteria; that way you always have your bacteria without leaving the sponges filthy...imo.
looove this.. helped so much with a jet-907F fish tank pump
Can you please help me with this question I am new at fish keeping when I change the filter. Can I also vacuum the rocks?
Thank you.. I'm trying now..
Hi
I hope you don't mind me commenting, but you didn't mention replacing the active carbon pads in the filter. These should be replaced approx. every 2 weeks as once they are full they will start to leach the metals etc. they have captured back into the aquarium water.
Kind regards,
Jonathan
thank you so much this video helped alot

Where did u get that filter? What brand is that filter?
Heather Gentry I have the exact same it's from Petsmart and brand is Maria If I think
I don't keep fish but I'm doing an experiment with invasive fish at the minute and have been trying to feed them mealworms. I'm noticing a lot of the uneaten mealworms are clogging the filter so I've tried cleaning it and fishing the rest out with a net, would you have any other advice?
goldfish are a type of invasive fish they are very hardy fish and a type of Asian carp, after people can not take care of them for reasons such as the fish getting to big or because of some other reason the release them into the wild and the goldfish manage, If you released 2 goldfish male and female that are adults, within 2-3 years you would have hundreds of them
I thought it wasent filled let

V Lo You are stupid... a siphon takes 30 seconds to start and it is way faster and more efficient than a bucket.
PlasmaFS well you don't NEED one you fucking idiot, I scoop with a big bucket and clean my tank in 20 min
Tru Blu The ones with the pumps... a few squeezes and its ready to go.
