I understand the issues Michael sees, as a single male, when I’m in a public environment and someone I just met is trying to set me up with their single sister or friend, without the sister/friend having any actual interest or clue who I am or why I’m being brought to her attention. LOVE IT
I’m almost 30, and have been single and celibate for almost 12 years now by choice. 6’3 very athletic guy, tried to go to bud/s twice. Have turned down plenty of women.
When you experience just how wretched a woman can be, you learn exactly what you want and don’t want, and you learn exactly what warning signs to watch out for.
I’ve pursued a couple women since, including a very appealing one right now in a couple of my classes who’s a couple years older than me, but I haven’t found one who’s been willing to be serious and dedicated after getting to know them. So who’s the problem there? The good young man, or the beautiful women who seem to be afraid of something serious or dedicated?
In my experience, beautiful women are opportunists who want to keep as many options for men in their back pocket as they can. I’m not willing to be strung along as just another option of their current lot.
Michael, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. You do not go looking for the one, the one finds you. And you won't know that you found the one until you stay with somebody for so long and you work so hard at your relationship that you figure out that it is the one she's worth all this goddamn work. Sew your wild oats brother. Make hay while the sun shines because one day you'll wake up and your back will hurt and it'll never stop lol

Michael, I have been in your shoes. You’re making good decisions. Don’t let the peer pressure give you doubts or derail you from your goals. I didn’t smash anyone in my early years because I didn’t want to have a child I couldn’t afford to have and support payments on top of that. Don’t date cougars either. That’s from experience. That’s all that is in my area as it’s slim pickens with what is in the dating pool here. They’re already done having the kids they want to have and decided to leave the father of those kids for someone that makes them feel young and can be an ATM for them.
