2024 and I am listening to Elvis
Same here, but you got to love the guy.
So do I and I always will as long as I am alive
2024 and I am shitting my pants.
ALL DAY every day
WHO would Not Listen to Elvis ? I Know…… the braindead……
I was at this concert. I was 14 years old, in floor seats in front of the stage, 10 rows from him. Omg. Thought I would DIE. 1972, Greensboro
Which concert was this
I saw him New Years Eve in Detroit I felt the same way
@@cornevduijn7820 Greensboro 1972.
Congratulation Diane that you has the luck and see him live. Iam much too you young ( lol, 55) to see him live
Damn you lucky thing must of been amazing
Who in gods good name reads one of the greatest songs of all time from a script , and for the first time and still makes it sound like a song from rock and roll heaven !?! Only the king.
What can I say the greatest entertainer of all time.
Elvis had actually recorded that song "Burning Love" in the studio about two weeks prior to this show, but this was the first live concert attempt.
The backup singers are quite attractive
He says it's a new song that he's never sung on stage before but he starts singing it like he's been singing it for years...lol. So talented!
Elvis is the best in your time.
Talent.
All time
God given talent
the dude was a natural
ELVIS PRESLEY ALIVE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................
LOVE THIS BROTHER
If it's the 1st time ever or the 1,000 time, No One could ever sing it better. The King forever.
ALL I CAN SAY IS THE GREATEST.
His band was out of this world, singers and everything
Long lives the King,
Elvis Presley the King 👑 ♥️ 👑 ♥️ 👑 ♥️.
He is my Burning Love ,ever 😊😮😢❤
The greatest man whoever sang a song. Period. Elvis.
Only the king could do that
As much as I want to disagree....I can't really. :)
Nah, No Chuck Berry no Elvis & it goes on & on.
@@markdavids2511 they were talented but elvis had the charisma to be a star
R Kelly
watching his backup girls diggin thte song makes it even better
Only Elvis could make reading the lyrics to a song he’s singing for the first time live in concert look cool.
its called dementia
it's clearly not the first time he sung that.
Fool!

That drummer is KILLLLLING IT
On the drums is ronnie tutt awesome drumming 👍
You are so right! Ronnie Tutt was amazing. Elvis and Ronnie made a great team!!!
@@lanaclerk6371 Ronnie would say the harder he hit the more Elvis would move. They would feed off each other.
his tempo is as tight as a drum, pardon the pun
That Drummer Ronnie Tutt?
Killed IT😎🥳
to see evryone havin fun and enjoyin it just makes me happy:-)
Only Elvis could get away with reading the lyrics on stage. That's just one of the many reasons he's THE KING
That drummer is RIPPIN!
The whole band Is just amazing.
Elvis leaned on The Sweet Inspirations for confidence. They were there for him.
Ronnie tutt gave elvis a brand new energy starting in 69
Elvis reads the lyrics and takes the song to perfection with his brilliant talent. Just so cool! What a great moment for everyone.
Ele regia tudo com o seu corpo e seu carisma, regia a bateria com seu corpo, lindo demais, amooooo ❤️
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 ur funny but spot on 🤣🤣🤣🎉
he was from another galaxy.sweetheart
Elvis was my first concert in 1976 Notre Dame IN ! Front center floor seats row 7 with my mom and older sister, I was very young single digits...I recall sitting on my moms shoulders reaching out trying to grab one of his scarves! My sister camped out all night to get these tickets! Both my mom and my sister were very fanatic Elvis fans!
Those people got to hear ELVIS sing a new hit for the first time on stage! Who cares about a damn lyric sheet! I would feel blessed seeing that. It's ELVIS PRESLEY! 👑⚡️
He was awesome in concert! 😉💝
Yessss. And I was there, at this concert. This was in Greensboro NC.
Strangely enough, that song wasn't released to the public until about 3-and-a-half months later (on a 45-rpm single) after this concert.
You are great ELVIS ❤❤❤👑👑👑🎼🎵🎶
“ Elvis, then and now, the coolest guy that ever lived “.
Music nowadays is not the same . Elvis still lives on in 2023
The best front man rock ever. ..rip king. This man was a god.
I agree with you 👏👏👏
I agree.'69, '70, '71 and '72 it was still a Rock show and Presley was, at this point the greatest performer on earth.
Not a god touched by god
Elvis Presley was not a god. There is only ONE TRUE GOD and he sent his son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin. I pray Elvis trusted in Jesus as his Savior and I pray you have also.
@@tedharrell4169 he did die. and was reincarnated in a secound birth.
Elvis changed the world, and this video is one example of how he did that.
Naw Jesus Christ changed the world! He and he alone!
@@charleswilliams8248 Yes, you are correct...Elvis' response to people calling the the king was "there is only one King" and he pointed to the heavens. Elvis did influence a lot of artists and he helped bridged the gap amongst the races through his music and attitude...don't sell him short...but comparing to Jesus, we all fall short.
You may or may not know, after shows it was common for the musicians to gather in Elvis' suite and stay up all night singing gospel music, he loved Jesus, he wasn't perfect and had his own demons to contend with, but he IS with Jesus now.
@@charleswilliams8248 Not necessarily in a good way....
@@guitar78ish why don't you preach somewhere else?
@@kensroswell Wasn't preaching, nor was I responding to your comment.
The Sweet Inspirations what a wonder sound they had!
That track was on the charts and climbing when he passed away. So sad.......
No, the song "Way Down" was on the charts when he passed away...
@@Allen-vl7zq Thats right....
There will never be another..
3:22 - 3:23 he smiles, winks and says a quick little "thank you" to a fan and continues.
That smile at 3:20 ..says it all.
There will never be another like him
The Sweet Inspirations seem to lose audio at the start of this, but as true professionals, they just muddle through wonderfully.
He took 'coolness' to a further dimension.
at the end he said, "if we goofed up, I'm sorry". I can't believe how good that song sounded, he was reading the lyrics off a page. unbelievable, I never saw a band/singer do that before and make it sound like it was 100% intentional.
was never an elvis fan , but his backing singers carried this, and they wanted to. happy
A true Entertainer for the WHOLE FAMILY.
ELVIS LIVES IN ALL OF US,ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT !! CANT SAY IT STRONGER THAT !!
I love how everyone is having such a good time. They know that they are so fortunate to be picked out to be in his band.
Oh Mark you are so correct! His band members and backup people loved him so much!!
You can see Richard Sterban from the Oak Ridge boys and he's all smiles. Looks fun.
I was blessed to see him in NY 1972
Wow, your a very lucky person, unfortunately I wasn't born till 74 lol a day late and a dollar short for me, 😭
Him saying “y’all r a fantastic audience” more than once puts a tear to my eye he didn’t have to go too soon, what a great man he was to his fans and family. Long live the king 👑
This is why he is still "The King"!! What a voice. 😇
It's 2022 45 years later Elvis Presley is still the king of the music industry I'm 25 years old proudly apart of his massive fan base since age 14 TCB ⚡then now forever.
😊👍
I love how the background vocalists are in there with him.
Well they have too, it's there job.
The king doesn’t stand for half ass-ness
@@MellowNature1974 yes it's their job. But doing your job and doing your job with excellence, passion , fun and being drawn into the entire experience is very unusual. Look at their attitude. It's more than doing their job it's like being at a party and enjoying every minute.
@@ornellabarbaro3861 - That's my point, they are good because if they wasn't, they would be replaced. Afterall it's Elvis?
I agree though, they do a good job and only compliment Elvis.

Fantastic. Everyone had fun with that song.

Here I am on Monday morning 8.00am shedding a tear as I watch Elvis and this terrific performance...
Thanks
Same here on a Saturday night !
This man was stressed at the time of this performance as you can see but he is still 1000 times better than any artist that's going today! What does that day about today's music?
I love the fact that he was reading the lyrics and just wanted to give it a try, and was still just amazing.
Absolutely great...incredible....gift of heaven.Elvis is the best!!!👍🎤🎶💞🎶🎤♥️
Hasn't memorized the lyrics yet. They just recorded it a few days prior. And E and the gang just KILLED that number at the first time live performance! Incredible!

Omg , Elvis tackled that song so smoothly and his memory for lyrics is amazing!!! His voice never falters and is so smooth!! NO ONE CAN OR WILL COMPARE TO THE KING!!!!
He was reading the lyrics from a sheet! Are all Elvis fans deluded?
@@hawaiiusa6147 He said that he didn’t know the song to well and yet he sang it like he already knew it.
@@DarcyTheManstop No, he was reading from a sheet and he still forgot the lyrics at one point. If he really knew it he would have sung the song without the lyric sheet AND he would have gotten the words correct.
He also messed up the lyrics during the "Aloha" rehearsal on January 12th, 1973 - whilst reading from cue-cards!
Elvis was no memory mastermind, as some fans claim - without any evidence.
@@hawaiiusa6147 i know, ridiculous right? He still nailed though!
Elvis had a wonderful band and back-up singers. In his private life he was surrounded my "MOOCHES".
This is why he is The King!! It was a brand new song and he he NAILED IT!! He was so ahead of his time and so so talented and so generous.
Loved that they showed The Sweets & Kathy in the clip awesome what they & the band added to the song

Nobody alive can today cam tuch this man. Vocialy.
Or Looks
My favorite Elvis-song. Or .. was it Jailhouse Rock .. No, wait, It's now or never. No no, ... Suspicious Minds ... Eum ...
🤗
Looks like they were all having a ball doing this song, especially Jerry Sheff and Ronnie Tutt. All with smiles on their faces.
He died when I was turning 8 & compared to today what goes on who cares he read from a piece paper..He was sleep deprived, drug induced, being manipulated by Parker & taking advantage of & working his butt off to perform & hands down the BEST!! 😘😘❤❤❤
It is refreshing too when artists aren't afraid to perform a song that they are still working on. It's fun when performers add something unique to every performance.
Elvis Presley was SO popular from the South of the Dixie Line to the North AND Americans loved his songs about Americans struggle from the South to North.
Elvis was a true American who loved his Country.
One of the BEST who Loved America.
People cry listening to his powerful voice!
Amen, Wanda!
How cool is the king? In concert performing a new jam reading the lyrics!!

Welcome to the club. Lots to dig into. 'My Elvis' is this one.. 72 tour.
AND YOUR BROTHER. CONGRATULATIONS ELVIS PRESLEY.
Mai e poi mai mi stancherò di vederti e ascoltare la tua voce ❤️
Elvis Presley was and still is the best ever. Actor, singer and loved his family and friends. The most he loved his Fans. King of Rock N Roll. Yes a God to his fan's. But Elvis himself would tell he is no God. There's only one God and he is the almighty God of Heaven. Love this song. Rip Elvis.
Ur right there 1 God CALL him home to be with him LONG LIVE THE KING THANK YOU ELVIS PRESLEY RIP 2020 STILL miss him so much 💖💖🇦🇷🇦🇷
That’s a very true statement. Elvis once said, on stage, to girls that were screaming “Elvis you’re the king”. Elvis replied, “I hear you saying I’m the King, I appreciate it honey, but really Christ is the King...and I’m just an entertainer.” A very humble man.
did you rub one out watching that?
Elvis fotever
He was very selfish the last years of his life.
What can i say? Elvis is the best that walked this earth. So handsome. So good the voice. A real entertainer. He can do no wrong. Rip Elvis. Forever in our hearts. Love love you.
He was charisma incarnate and the voice of an operatic singer... never will be another like him
Is shocks me how comfortable he is with this being a new song. He could have played it safe and not done this song but he said "screw it" let's try that new one I'm not 100% on yet. Lol
The King.
What I like about this version is it is so raw-just him the drums and the beautiful and talented back up singers. I love when any performer goes raw without all the big production--raw and showing their talent and Elvis as we know was loaded with talent. What a voice. Wow.
Thats because the audio sucked, more instruments were playing
That is a huge production but it’s real!
@@icanfartloud agree, you can't hear the bass at all, if there is one thing Burning Love is, it's a drum, bass sound. I like hearing John's Wilkinson's rhythm guitar in the miix. You can tell something is wrong with sound as one of the Sweets is tapping her ear and I know it's first time playing live but that could explain a little with the sloppy ending or they haven't decided how to end it, even said that in the rehearsals at Sunset when they did the longer ending and Elvis asked "How are we going to fade it on stage?"
@@icanfartloud correction you can hear the bass only occasionally on it, I was listening without headphones, with them in I heard it on/off
The bass player is killing it too
ELVIS PRESLEY GOD BLESS YOU.......
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR MOTHER AND YOUR FATHER.
I love the way he conducts the band
It shows that Elvis was only human read a song from the paper miss him 🙄 very much this was a good song he sounded very good 👍
Forever Elvis...
Simply The greatest Vocalist and Vocal range And Entertainer that ever lived, the voice range of a opera singer, also he always sang with such Emotion in everything he sang, also the greatest Backing Band ever, that gets overlooked sometime,s I truly Believe God wanted him back to sing to the Angels, Thank you fore the vast catalogue of Music you left the world, there will never be a Entertainer like him again, Simply put outstanding

If they saved that piece of paper, I wonder how much it would go for at auction today? Awesome performance!
Hot ! This is why there was only one!
I will love you for ever ❤
Come back Elvis, we need you!
He may have been a great singer but, he was a drug addict. Who could have lived a lot longer if those thugs never introduced him to drugs.
