Elvis Presley is an Icon a legend. He's so talented and adorable with a magical voice, he's legacy will remain for every. I'm a big fan... What do like about him?
I'm 60 years old and I know all musical styles. I've been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old. I come from Switzerland (Lucerne). I appreciate any kind of good music. I also know all the songs by Johnny and June Cash-Carter (Great). However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time. He implied all the power of his soul in all his songs. One could almost say: he gave away his whole heart to his listeners. So, in that way, this is definitely unique. Denis Herger
Nathan Hutchinson That just shows what great taste you have in music! I was 12 yrs old when we heard Elvis died. My mother, grandmother & me cried our eyes out...
The man was a living God! 🎶No one could touch his style, charisma, talent!🎼He could hold an audience totally captivated for his entire show, and even after he left the venue the audience stayed just to relish in the moment! No other single entertainer could do or has done that since Elvis Presley.
my dear old Mum was part of the back stage team responsible for supplying refreshments for Elvis and the other guys in Honolulu, she always told me what an absolute gent Elvis really was. She said she managed to talk to Elvis and even got him to relax as she said she'd never seen someone so nervous going on stage, maybe that's why I'm a massive EP fan.
The greatest stage introduction for the consummate Professional You have to love the horn's blasting as Elvis is performing. This is History! Appreciate it everyone.
Love introduction theme, adds to his mystique and legend. I don't think any other artists has that, don't know, but sure works for the king, brilliant idea.
Who ever thought intro theme up was a genius, and appropriate for Hawaii concert, since it was via satellite around the world Elvis show 12;30a.m Pacific/international time. 1.5 billion people watched, album no 1 on billboard, as added interest, more people watched them mooml landing I'm 69 Also beat out superbowl in ratings. What an astonishing feat, says alot about how well loved this man was, especially in Britain, Germany, etc poor German Elvis was like a breath of fresh air after the war tragedies by that asshole Hitler, I think the people healed a bit more, when Elvis was there and g,I blues movie. They just loved Wooden heart sung by Elvis. No. 1 on German charts. Finally, that theme song somehow made Elvis more magical.
I'm sorry meant no disrespect or offence, no I'm not German, am Ukrainian Canadian. But I am also human who has sympathy for all countries who've had tragedies, you don't have to be a certain nationality to care, my grandparents went through mass killings in Ukraine, grand parents left when Stalin came in. I've read up history of Germany and the wars, tons and tons of f world history, s I am not stupid, or condescending etc, no I did not go through what your country went through, I don't know. I am almost sorry I didn't go through that he'll. But I didnt , can't help that. Once again, meant no offence.
close second for me was McCartney, I was excited to see him but he caught my breath when he walked out on stage, a living Beatle. Not the same as Elvis but powerful
Ronnie Tutt the master of the double bass drum ghost notes with a flair for the jazz note cymbals, inside the ride . Pure power and energy !! Guitar and bass so tight.
Great snare work starting off the drum break at the end. He was very physical but never out of control. He clearly understood dynamics and his feel and swing were exceptional.
The Greatest Performer ever. The Greatest Entertainer ever. The Greatest Artist ever. The Greatest Cultural Impact on Music ever. The Greatest Concert ever. Nothing can or will ever match Elvis.
This song reminds me of my grandpa who passed away last month. He listened to Elvis every Saturday night when he sat down and had a drink, and this was always the first song to come on. I’ll always think of him when I hear this.
The moment a preacher, a rebel, a rock star, Chuck Norris and Evel Knievel merged together into one super being. LOL. So iconic it almost doesn't seem real.

1968 to 1973 The King Elvis was untouchable/prime.
Now that's what I call an entrance only fit for a king a gladiator on stage EP
Love Johnny Cash as well. But totally agree with you
50 years on from this concert...the goosebumps are still there. Elvis never died...Earth just happened to be on his tour ❤️
What a great comment ❤😊
He is a bad son of a gun
Elvis Presley still holding on 2024
check out Pastor Bob Joyce.
ELVIS never dies
Elvis Presley has everything, Great voice, good looks, very handsome man!
I am turning fourteen next month exactly, so that shows that Elvis is still Listen to In My Generation

Absolutely! Also, I’d like to thank you for acknowledging that some of us enjoy it instead of antagonizing the ones who have different tastes!
Nathan Hutchinson That just shows what great taste you have in music! I was 12 yrs old when we heard Elvis died. My mother, grandmother & me cried our eyes out...
It doesn’t matter what age you are, when you hear true talent like Elvis’ you will not be able to get it out of your head
13 and the same here
WHAT AN ENTRANCE !
WOW Presley fantastic.
The horns blasting is the signature part to this whole opening.
Man, only Elvis, the dude is a genius.
Who ever thought intro theme up was a genius, and appropriate for Hawaii concert, since it was via satellite around the world
Elvis show 12;30a.m Pacific/international time. 1.5 billion people watched, album no
1 on billboard, as added interest, more people watched them mooml landing I'm 69
Also beat out superbowl in ratings.
@@maryannemelenka9250 you are not German.
When The Beatles broke up, Elvis came back to shock the world again.
He never left, before Elvis there was nothing ~~ John Lennon
I never paid any attention to the Beatles, it was Only Elvis for me. I was a teenager then & I was Never A Beatles Fan, Only Elvis, Forever. 09-04-24
there was nothing like being in the building when he walked out onto that stage. nobody ever has, is, or will ever come close to that energy.
I was 12 when I saw him in Minnesota. I cried and back then sooo many camera old school lights for the 1st 15 minutes. Rest in ✌
close second for me was McCartney, I was excited to see him but he caught my breath when he walked out on stage, a living Beatle. Not the same as Elvis but powerful
I agree about paul i’ve seen him in concert and he is just about the greatest live concert there is i was too young to ever see elvis
Not the king of rock, nor pop.... just THE KING. Long live Elvis!
King of music
Ronnie Tutt the master of the double bass drum ghost notes with a flair for the jazz note cymbals, inside the ride . Pure power and energy !! Guitar and bass so tight.
Great snare work starting off the drum break at the end. He was very physical but never out of control. He clearly understood dynamics and his feel and swing were exceptional.
THAT is style plus 100% talent and charisma✅ The whole package :-)
Phenomenal!!! I was 6 when this was aired in 1973. I remember it like it was yesterday.
The Greatest Performer ever. The Greatest Entertainer ever. The Greatest Artist ever. The Greatest Cultural Impact on Music ever. The Greatest Concert ever. Nothing can or will ever match Elvis.
I always loved the opening clip, everyone is so excited and the flashes all going off, I loved being there.
Hi dear, how are you doing, how is the weather treating you?
cathyormandy7563- u were at this concert??
Ronnie Tutts drumming is fantastic here R I P Tutt
Amen
This song reminds me of my grandpa who passed away last month. He listened to Elvis every Saturday night when he sat down and had a drink, and this was always the first song to come on. I’ll always think of him when I hear this.
As soon as the King struts onto the stage he's got the audience ( as always ) in the palm of his hand. Outstanding opening track. 👌🙌
I LOVE THOSE BIG DIAMOND 💎 RINGS !
The moment a preacher, a rebel, a rock star, Chuck Norris and Evel Knievel merged together into one super being. LOL. So iconic it almost doesn't seem real.
Have you ever seen such a vision as he comes onto the stage, takes my breath away every time.
The most handsome man to walk this earth.
RIP Mr Presley you'll always be the G.O.A.T ❤
Elvis the best interpreter in the history of popular music and the inventor of the figure of rockstar and popstar
Absolutely right
@Mick Silva Elvis Presley and Bill haley started pop music in rock and roll until today and Elvis invented the popstar figure influenced future pop stars or you don't know the story
Fantastic performance by Elvis got this show on DVD sounds amazing though the surround sound. Elvis is always TCB
TCB?

Nice intro for the greatest singer ever!!!
Ronnie Tutt totally underrated drummer
I first saw this show in 1973 when I was still a high school student and he is still as great.
Elvis was the most amazing artist who’ve ever existed. Bless him.
oh I see you're really a true fan of Elvis and I can see you have a good taste in music, well I have been an Elvis fan since I was 10 I guess, even my mom is a huge fan of Elvis she makes me love Elvis so tell me which Elvis song do you love most?
Thank you for sharing this video. It is the only way most of us that never got to see him will see how great he was and is. Takes my breath away! King forever!
Hi dear, how are you doing, how is the weather treating you?
The fact that I knew most of these songs and I was not even born when they came out, speaks volumes to the level of artistry these individuals possess. These songs are so timeless. When music was still considered music
The album of my childhood. Mom has been gone 25 years but more than any other song, when I hear this one I am 5 years old again, dancing around the dining room with her. More than just a song to me.
I'm 80 years old and so happy I lived in the time of elvis, I remember years ago standing on the flat bed trailer,
And I liked him even then
The best concert ever brought to the screen. The King 👑 in his all his glory. 😊
This show was awesome but I think his specials 68's comeback gets the palm. Both are history though, that's for sure.
@@slevinsleven2775 yes hard to decide which is the best for us Elvis fans isn't. 👑 👍 😊

I was 11 years old watching tis on tv with my momma....still remember it like it was last week. This TV special was a HUGE deal!!!!
I never noticed before that ELVIS had on a gold ID bracelet on his right arm, not sure why I just saw it tonight when he's singing SEE SEE RIDER, he loved the rings on at least 3 fingers for sure-So unique was this one of a kind superstar singer with the amazing vocal range & absolutely heavenly voice & you could understand every single word! He was the GREATEST singer to ever live & I am one of his devoted fans for over 68 years & counting! He could sing it all! I LOVE YOU ELVIS now & forever!
The movie pays homage to that ID bracelet in the opening scene

The greatest entrance of any performer in the history of R&R. The atmosphere as he walks out on stage must have been awesome to experience.
