Lyrics:
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
Oh, and more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
Had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
"Oh no, oh no not me
I did it my way"
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

I'm with you 💯❤
It's true
“You have no idea how great he is, really you don’t. You have no comprehension - it’s absolutely impossible. I can’t tell you why he’s so great, but he is. He’s sensational.”
His song touches the soul
I loved this man growing up and still do!!!♥️♥️
No matter what, we can all agree that Elvis had one of *the* greatest singing voices of all time.
The best
There’s not a singer around now that could sing or have a voice like Elvis I don’t think there will ever be anyone as good as him ever again ❤️❤️❤️
D.
Paul Anka wrote this song for Sinatra, and it sounds like the King went a little heavy on the speeders before covering this epic tune, but hey- Kings do as they please. The Chairman of the Board always said that Vic Damone had "the best pipes in the business" it's a shame that Vic never put his shine on this one.
There will never be another King of R & Roll....

Is it normal for 65-year-old to still cry over Elvis
Hello how are you doing?
It should be a sin for a man to be this beautiful lol
yes its normal , powerful music does that
lol,my son 25 year old cry yes,hes number 1 elvid fan....
Yes! I am 67 and still cry over Elvis, but how sad he died at such a young age, and he seems like he was only here long enough to give this world something very very special that we have never had before and then was gone. But Now he is with the KING OF KINGS - who Elvis acknowledged was HIS KING!!!
I played this one at my mom’s funeral. Years ago she joked saying you better play Elvis at my funeral. I did exactly that. She was a huge Elvis fan. I only wish I appreciated his music while she was still here so I could enjoy it with her. But she made it known how much of a fan she was. Listening to Elvis brings me closer to my mom. I am forever grateful ❤

Just went and saw the premiere of the new Elvis movie last night. I’ve listened to Elvis since I was a kid. I’m only 25. But my grandma on my mom raised me on Elvis. My wife never understood why he was my favorite artist. But after seeing that movie last night, she completely understands. He wasn’t just a good singer, he was an amazing individual.
I'm 24, never was a fan of Elvis but I watched a video with a part of Elvis' song, "Can't Help Falling in Love." Didn't know it was from him and now I want to see the Elvis movie either this week or next week. I've seen trailers of the movie and am kind of stoked to watch it.
I saw the movie two days ago, awesome Voice and filmmaking.
Update: One week later I watched the Film again, and coming out of the Movie Theater I felt like going back in again and watch it a third time, so mesmerizing!!!!!!
His music was amazing but I wouldn't call a groomer an amazing person.
It was indeed amazing how such rich life has been squeezed into two hours of this movie. I never knew that his individuality stemmed from the Pentacostal church. Because of racism the world overlooked a lot of talents among the non-white people
I love Elvis ❤ and everytime I hear this I cry 😢
My Son passed away last year he was only 23yrs, yet he loved listening to Elvis & I played this song at he's funeral, people were confused, asking why did he like such an old song.... Yet they cried so much
May hes soul rest in peace
My deepest condolences.

Same here. Elvis is a great singer and he will forever be missed.
The King 👑. One Of the most special Unrepeatable Singing Voice in History of Music.
The king of what?
God only gave us Elvis Presley for a short time. But Elvis changed the entire universe in that short period of time. There will never be anything greater than Elvis Presley.
Elvis was born into a social economic environment that had much hardship yet its environment, culture - often blues and black music amongst others, inspired him, influenced him. Along with a parent that gave him unconditional love and a massive desire on Elvis part to want a better life for himself and his mum drove him on to be the entertainer he was. The sky deity thing/reference has no connection here.
This song was my father's favourite and he passed away 10days ago with all his beautiful memories..
This will remind me him until I die.
Thank you for being with him 🙏

Elvis Presley could sing any song that is why he's the king
WOW. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes.
As a child I used to think "Why do people go on about Elvis so much?"
But now aged 46 I understand what people see in this man (and still do)
Elvis is a man I would have loved to have met. Not because of his music. But because of the man he was.
What I'm most proud of is that I found a liking of Elvis in my own time and not because anyone told me too. He died too young and for the wrong reasons. I'm now a fan for life. I think we should all take a moment and be thankful to who invented the video camera. Because of this we have these great performers and performances for all time.
I so agree with you on everything.
He's fascinating even today I can barely imagine what it was like to see him live
I like the way you stated , you fell for him on your own term not because of old people who like him . Since the movie I have read 9 books on his life and have a completely different respect for him - not JUST. his music but so much more
@@judymitchell5169 I must admit I'm not a big fan of the new Elvis film. I think it's very overrated compared to the other films made. The last hour of the new Elvis movie however is excellent.

I did not know this was the song of Sinatra. And sorry, when i heard him, the same song gave me nothing like the shivers i feel with Elvis's voice
The king
Sinatra hated singing this song. Love them both, but this was much better suited for Elvis.
It's a French song from Claude François called "Comme d'habitude".
In English those words have been written on the music from the French singers in English who died on March 1978.
It's knowned better in the English version thanks Frank Sinatra and Elvis
@@josianecoste8740 Yes, indeed. The French song was very different when translated. I believe Paul Anka rewrote the lyrics specifically for Sinatra.

Elvis Presley.
The biggest star in the sky.
Best version of all time! Elvis forever.
I can’t fathom that Elvis was real. The man gave guns and cars as gifts, met the President, had an insane diet, stared in movies and left a legacy even in death. The King wasn’t a nickname it was a lifestyle for him a true American rock star
The unique.
Also inspired many to sing, to play, to form a band, to express themselves. The music in the 20th century wouldn't be the same without Elvis Presley.
Hola & Buenos to all you hombre's & amigo's out there tonight, every post that I read is in support of Elvis Presley, I cannot dispute anything that has been said, this man was phenomenal in almost everything that he did, my one & only criticism is that I wish that he & his minders had taken greater care of his health, & who knows, he may even have been with us today, now there's a thought, he would only be 85, there are still some about, Engelbert for example. TJR Canary Islands.
That man is not a legend he is The Legend

Iconic song gives back vibes from the 70`s what an legend.
Aug 16, 1977 i was 10 yrs old, and here I am...
I was 4-years-old when this concert aired, and I remember it vividly. My Dad always had Elvis playing on the record player, so I knew all of the songs. Over the years, I learned to sound like Elvis. While in college, I sang this song at karaoke one night. Most karaoke sound systems are mediocre at best, but this system was amazing. During the climax towards the end of the song, I noticed that many people were standing on their tables with lighters lit. That was a surreal experience.
This man invented music
It might have been Sinatra's song but Elvis made it his for me. He sang it with so much passion that it vibrated right onto your soul. He will forever be the King.
This is Claude François song named Comme d'habitude
@@a.b368 Not exactly lol the lyrics in the English version were written by Paul Anka and are "unrelated to the original French Version". HOWEVER, the music IS set to the original. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Way
@@kevinkelly5569 we already know that which in this exact case isn't relevant ever since when we say "song" most people think about the music itself, the melody, not the lyrics. Anyways, Paul anka wrote the English version thanks to Claude François creating the song in the first place. BTW Comme D'habitude means "as usual" or "like always" where Claude François explains his lifestyle kind of, his regrets also.. So my way isn't that different when it comes to It's meaning. It's just more individual.
All that being said, this is neither Sinatra's, Paul Anka's or Elvis song according to what Loraine wrote she probably didn't know abt Claude François who created this masterpiece.
@@a.b368 each version is unique, and it’s still correct to say each singer made it “their own”- especially Frank

No autotune, no lip syncing. No competition.
Not many can say that these days.
Louise Hazeldine not many could say that in those days either so what’s up?
Toph Beifong is this for real or just for funny?
Louise Hazeldine this is the MAN!! Nobody ever can touch such a voice!! Thank you king!!
Louise Hazeldine that is for real. Your comment makes no sense. He didn’t use autotune because it didn’t existed, he didn’t lip synced because it didn’t exist yet either and he didn’t need it.
Actually plenty of artists today doesn’t use Autotune neither lip sync.
Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Adele, Bruno Mars & the list goes on, so what’s your point?
And he had no competition, on his genre of music, for sure. That in its nature is something not many could achieve in HIS era, and in this era either...
But the real meaning of your comment is probably that “artists these days suck” which is stupid because in the 70’s, 60’s and all the way back there were plenty of artists who sucked, but you know why nobody knows them? Because they’ve been forgotten as time passes and in those times with lack of technology and social media it was almost impossible to take off a music career.
In 50 years from now all those artists which you consider to suck will be as forgotten as dust and people will just recall the legends just like it have been happening in the past decades.
Toph Beifong are you done???

I don't know about a King but this guy had a voice that simply awesome! Never will be anyone like him again. Until we meet in Heaven to hear it again
Thank you! Vielen Dank. Elvis was a Gift to this World, he was so extraordinary! Best Greetings out of the Oberpfalz!
The best
@barbie Smith - I think, sometimes God is sending some very blessed souls down to Planet Earth to make people think and make them happy. For sure Elvis was one of them. He made whole Generations so happy with his different style of music and appearance, his presence on Earth was very important. Best Greetings from Germany, State of Bavaria!
We all have voices only God can make.
@@james2578 not like his. I agree that God made all voices but he was showing off on his.
What a beautiful voice
I'm 75...saw him on the Ed Sullivan show...need I say more..EVERYONE ELSE FOLLOWS..
Elvis the king! This man takes everyone’s song and makes it into his own.
Don't cry daddy please don't cry
Who. In. This. Day. Better. Than. Elvis. I. Say. Nobpdy. But. God. Himself
Any song elvis sang- he made it his own - with his beautiful voice
Yup he did take everyone’s songs
@@jabari441 they were written for him pardner
50 years have passed and probably still the GREATEST live concert ever!!!
YUP...
This man was just awesome.
The King. Elvis était et restera le King. Personne qui manque aujourd'hui encore mais qui restera encore longtemps dans nos coeurs. 🙏
Inutile de dire elvis Presley vous dites elvis et le monde entier c'est de qui il s'agit
What a voice! No one can match the king
Elvis re-invented "My Way" not only by his incredible singing skills, but also by turning it to the story of his very own life. Miss him vey much!
My family chose Elvis' version of "My Way" to play at my dad's funeral, because the words summed up how Dad lived his life. It was just family members gathered together and some of my dad's favourite songs were played. Much as he loved Elvis Presley, he still preferred the Righteous Brothers' version of "Unchained Melody" over the King's.
@@sharonjensen3016 Your father must have been a great man. God bless his soul. I actually like both versions equally. But Elivis was more of a people person. He was one of us.
I lived in Croydon London at the time, I was 10 when he died and me mum told me as I was sitting on a bus to go food shopping on a crossroads. But bought up on his music my older sister used to get an Elvis album every birthday.
54 coming on 55 still try to sing his songs just like he did my wedding record was Hawaiin wedding and sang a few on the night to every one as I do when I can to this day.
He hasn't died its just that we miss him 😔 a most magical person to of exist.
I grew up watching and listening to Elvis. His voice gives me chills. He is by far the Greatest male singer Ever!
Sorry to say this but This not Elvis his name Johnny Harra elvis left the planet in 1962 to go back to planet Venus elvis couldn’t grow hair on his face look at the pictures
Check out the new Elvis movie is supposed to be pretty darn good.

That could go either way honestly. I kinda wished people didnt spend all their time on it. It's nice for stuff like this but other than that it's bad. I'm almost 30 and it's just a waste of time.

Best comment ever 👍🏻
I think they called him the King, and he truly was. It is so fantastic to see him again on this video!
Yes, but he now will stand before the King of King's Jesus! I pray he repented & ask God to forgive his past? Eternity is forever folks!
@@rachellmarie3631 - yes, I often think of eternity. And I think there is eternity! But I also think, why should Elvis ever fear eternity? He made Billions and Billions of people throughout this World very happy with his songs. He made whole Generations so happy and he died so young. What are his sins? Look at all of us, aren´t we all siners?
No, I think Elvis is now in a very High Sphere of Eternity, he was sent from God!
@@rachellmarie3631 Forgive what? The only one he sinned against was himself, he needed only to forgive himself, not gods forgiveness. He bought millions of people happiness with his god given talent and was taken too soon.
Totalmente de acuerdo
@@marycarmenmartinez1137 , thank you! Best out of Germany, Bavaria!
