I think we all tacitly understand that ESFPs are commonly regarded as the stupidest type, however untrue it may be. It's the elephant in the room. I always associate that resistance to being "put in a box" with Fi, though I can't remember exactly how I first arrived at that conclusion. It seems more common for Fi types to never be fully satisfied with typings and type descriptions. They feel it doesn't resonate with their identity as closely as they were hoping or doesn't pay homage to their individuality enough. This could also be an enneagram 4 thing, which is likewise correlated with Fi though.

As an ESFP we are really amazing at feelings particularly, our intuition is extremely high with a dangerous level of accuracy, we are open, we love life, people and things, we are supernova types, you just have to find us. We can look at something and pin point exactly what it means, if you have a fear or feeling you can’t describe, then we can understand your “I’m not sure how I feel” “I don’t know how to describe it.” THATS us, and I love me so much. I'm an ESFP, and this is perfect.
I dunno why, but I really like the way you make your videos, they seem...straight forward, accurate, highly informative and involving, and they seem to just keep me pulled in and wanting to watch more, which is why I've binged a few series on this channel. You are my favorite MBTI centered channel, and I've turned on notifications.
I also for some reason want to tell what my main friend group's personality types are.
We have...an ENFP, ESFP(me), ISTP(one of my bffs/face of the group), INTJ(second in command), ESTP, and an INFP.
I am apparently, according to the ISTP, the "heartbeat" of our group. He's very cool and fun to be around. Kinda mysterious too. And whether they like it or not, I'm going to try and keep the group alive and happy. The INTJ, is the mind of the group and the "leader", cause he's the smartest. Whenever the ISTP isn't at school, everything is off, and usually low, cause ye they're my best friend. But I do have the INTJ and INFP there, so I'm fine. I have been friends with them all for many a year now, and hopefully will be forever.
When the ISTP said that he was moving houses, I thought immediately that he was moving like halfway across the U.S. and got very worried.
I brought it up with him when he said he was moving, and he reassured me that he will be at the school still, and he is actually probably moving CLOSER to the school.
    So, I sighed in relief.
My friends are my family, if they leave, well, really "I" leave. In the metaphorical sense. As probably my near endlessly shining spirit would probably die out.
Sad, ye, but they're mah family, and my family is my life.
Now, I probably need to sleep, so goodnight.

Well, as an INTJ who once had an ESFP boss (yes, talk about irony and bad luck), I can testify that they get less credit than they deserve. However, my God, it was hell. She would not keep any agreement at all and making one with her was almost impossible to begin with, since she simply refused to set herself any kind of "future boundary". For most of the time, I'd feel like I was talking to a door and there were many times in which many colleagues, including some who were close friends to her, would try to help me make her understand that what she was setting us to do simply didn't make sense. We lived in a cycle that went like this: get order -> realize order would screw things up -> try to explain the situation -> get an answer in the form "How do you know that will happen?" -> see things fail -> see boss not realize we were talking precisely about what happened -> repeat. She was certainly an undeveloped and unhealthy ESFP, but it really goes to show the bad side of the aspects you brought up here. After some time, I just gave up and got another job

From Linda Berens: Over the last four years, in the MBTI® Qualifying Programs, advanced programs and elsewhere, we found a disproportionate number of people who had reported preferences for the iNtuiting process while their behaviors seemed to resemble the Artisan-SP temperament pattern. This raised some questions such as: What is the relationship between temperament and Jung’s typology?

To me, that's just the impetus to look for the facts that prove why it exists, so I know it is called "feeling", but, more physical than emotional. (sigh) Life is very complicated.

Tbh I disagree. The conqueror type is more like ESTP. ESFPs are this protagonist / main character / adventurous type. you can see this through characters such as Son Goku, Luffy and Gon. Even CR7. These are all main characters. They have a few traits in common, their extreme passion, them following what they want no matter the cost or circumstances, somewhat being stubborn by doing that, and their extreme force when it comes to achieve what they want. They also have immense discipline if they really want something. I also don’t agree with reasoning. You definitely can’t use logic. But you can reason with ESFPs with moral principles or feelings. If you explain to them someone didnt have bad intentions and why they did what they did, I think they’re the most accepting and forgiving type of anyone. Very high level of tolerance if they can follow your morals. They’re also personally my favorite type. Crazy, center of attention, full of energy, caring and thoughtful, not dogmatized, original, usually in good shape and healthy. What else do you want? - female ENTJ

As a baby (ESFP) when it comes to knowledge on MBTI. I have to say that the INTJ makes the leveled calculations of what goes on or can happen in the world, while the ESFP makes it known through media and grows up the youth according to the systems in place. What i've found though is that INTJ/ESFP's are on such extreme ends of the spectrum, that we just end up adapting a centrist political approach to life. Living on the edge of society's by-products is strange and we tend to be moderate in everything, but will always get attracted to what we're bad at, so as to not put pressure on the skills that make us good. The ESFP tries to be as present in the moment as they can, just a rush that comes with always widening your eyes to the world. The INTJ always anticipates what the moment brings Overall, both personalities are there to keeping things from falling apart when something goes not according to plan.
A more High-School way of putting it would be: ESFP=Geek, INTJ=Nerd
These personality extremes can also be put more darkly as: The Psychopath ("Psychos" meaning the soul/mind is corrupted- Hence the ESFP can lose control and look more emotional as their feelings never follow a clear path/"Pathos" implying something happened to it (Psychos) in the greek language) and the Sociopath (Who has developed the way he has from judging and getting to the root of Human society, perhaps also triggered by his discoveries as well)
*Note that these are the extreme cases of the two types. By proper definition about 4% of the world are psychopaths and 1% are sociopaths. These are kind of rough estimates of the ESFP (9%) and the INTJ (2%). Keep in mind the INTJ will also tend to be more likely to attend sessions with psychologists because personal health fits into their programme. While the ESFP will not go in for a check-up and will opt to keep their feelings/perspectives buried deep instead of brought to the surface where they can be silenced and easily coaxed into a less thoughtful existence, because overall we'll go for the lifestyle that keeps us most content, happy and stress (AKA hard-work) free.
As for evidence on this, you'll just have to trust my perception like I would respectively would trust a smart person's judgement. You wouldn't know the world through my eyes and neither i yours.
(Also, we both love highs but get too easily addicted and over-abuse when we find one that suits us)

@@Anonymous_Anon882 an ESFP can be both. They're the most common type so there's many categories of an ESFP. Think of someone who collects action figures/comics or conjures up a campaign of DND. They're using their imagination to paint a colourful world that exists outside their own. It's a different expression of entertainment. To that person he may have an INTJ friend who's sort of nerdy and likes delving into megaprojects of the world or just chatting about the implications of the tv series/anime they are both watching.
On the other end of the spectrum there is a parralel INTJ and ESFP for partying and nightlife. One might be trying to get a girl wasted and cracking jokes, possibly trying to juggle a threesome with her friend. The other might be schooled in the "art of seduction" and keep a low and flat tone with the woman, using only smart comebacks and smooth one-liners to convince her she's interested.
. They're still a rare animal , but like the ESFP can live a lonesome life, finding entertainment through tv shows and the music they listen to, so can there exist an INTJ who was not interested in getting academic acclaim and rathe found his niche in seducing women at the club.

An immature ESFP is a total chaos and destructive power and trauma to their INTJ child. The are the ones gossip about people instead of talking about ideas, in other words, small minded. They are over-reactors, drama queens, and constant attention seekers. They highjacks the emotion expressions of others because they always put their own feelings on the center stage of any interaction. They are real difficult to reason with. ESFPs being the turtle and the Intuitives being like the rabbit thinking they're better than the turtle. The turtle always wins because of the rabbit's arrogance and for underestimating the turtle. The powerhouse combination as described in the video is the magic :)

However, he was extremely arrogant like the rabbit in this tale which made me always win by predicting his next move (It's a very long story). So you're an INFJ, huh? Interesting... @@thelightofdawn6513 see that's awesome that you have figured out that you need to pay more attention to planning. In fact, this is something that I've been teaching (sounds weird) to my esfp friend. He is constantly finding himself in precarious avoidable situations. Normally I wouldn't even give him a second of my concern because logic means nothing to him and it annoys me when I break it down to the simplest form of logic and he still doesn't get it. BUT a lot of the pickles he finds himself in involve me. Meaning if he is late to meet with me then I'm affected by it. I have tried to just dump his friendship but he works so hard at trying to do what I suggest that I can't get rid of him. So you see, he fulfills my need to mentor because he is such a poor planner and so bad at intuition but asks me all the time to help him and does show personal growth. That gives me so much, I can't explain it. ON the other hand, he is so in the moment that he counters me in a way that challenges my intellect and keeps me interested. He has helped me cope with real time pressure that I usually stay away from. He deals with my performance anxiety in a way that I have never experienced before. He won't allow me to stop and pushes and pushes and guess what I usually accomplish things that I didn't think I could when it comes to the here and now. So I suppose we compliment each other well. But that doesn't mean that we both don't scream and yell all the time. We fight like cats and dogs. Its hard and draining. I feel he needs to grow up and gain some maturity for sure.

I’m INFJ my little girl is ESFP. She recently has come up with the plan that if I just quit being a lawyer we can have more fun together. I explained that if I quit my job we’ll lose our house and our timeshares . She looked at me and said so we’ll figure it out. I’m carrying $7000 a month in mortgage payments but I’ll just figure it out. Well thought out that’s for sure. 😂😂😂😂😂. When we are out an about she talks to everyone. She makes friends wherever she goes. She’s quite the card. She’ll walk around with her shirt on backwards and shoes on the wrong feet and say she’s starting a fashion trend and giggle. However this child does not like to feel criticized at all. It infuriates her.

Hoy geez, I have been at a loss to type my ex, because he is NPD, and they survive by absorbing other people’s personalities-the one who scores “equally” across categories on personality tests…and lately I have been wondering how our children could type as poor relational matches for me (per MBTI), so I have been looking back into all of this. This so far appears to be the best match, and tracks with the types my girls ended up with and the stark reasons he and I butted heads. 😮

I am quiet but not shy. I just do not trust you to understand me or want to act like you know what you are talking about when I am paying attention to your body language and very suddenly come to the conclusion that I am wasting my brain cells listening to you. Not sure what letters in the alphabet I'm in but I will look into this. You have my curiosity and that is my weakness because now I need to know. Damn it, now I have something else to research.

is it possible for this type to give off the vibe of Fe? almost as if their first and second function merge? actually this can be a question for all types.

In my experience as an ESFP, on first acquaintance some people think I might have Fe because I love connecting with people through experiences and I love chatting and being around others. But I feel that external empathy is not our strength. Whilst we feel our emotions strongly and understand them pretty easily, Te3 often means we go into "problem solving mode" rather than empathic mode. We want to have fun with others for sure, but being in tune with others' feelings and acting to create harmony in the room is not really our natural mode.

Explains why my roommate from the first year in college hated my guts, I am too logical for her taste, and a bit too uncompassionate... Oh dear..
Oh wait, she was a ESFJ.

Depends on whether it’s Ti or Te I think. I know that technically Ti is rationality and Ti is logic, but still.

It’s a shame that logical people apparently lack compassion when compared to others. It’s a fundamental part of our humanity. Though of course, logic has its own place as well.
