We hope you enjoyed the fascinating journey through the beautifully renovated Redwood House in San Francisco’s Noe Valley! Architect Brett Terpeluk’s passion for preserving the essence of this unique space truly shines through in every detail of the renovation. 1. What a fantastic home. Love the light, the volumes and contrasts in materials. 2. Felt like this video could have been twice as long - almost seemed like the architect was cut off mid-sentence. 3. So nice to hear an architect speak about his work in an unpretentious manner! I’d hire him …
One of the reasons I like this channel is that it helped me crystalize my own architectural preferences. And with this in mind, I really like this house. I love the original bones left by the original architect with all those views framed by large windows, skylights, internal courtyards and timber ceilings. And I like SOME but not all elements added by the new architect. I love the contrast between textural ceilings and the high-gloss finish of the kitchen, for example. I even like the wood paneling, which I would normally hate, but it has such a rich texture, it's hard not to like. But I don't like red brick next to it. I think that made it too busy for me. Other than that one element, I love this house!
Me encanta este proyecto. La volumetria, el estudio de la incidencia de la luz, materiales, colores, y la actitud del arquitecto en su explicación. Hermoso proyecto. Equilibrado, sobrio y elegante.
It’s a real home …live in it well……I think you have a great sense of how to bring all aspects of modern living together. No unnecessary clutter ….. but surrounded with beauty ….
this is lovely. I'm currently rethinking some key pieces in my apartment and for once, I was thinking that maybe 'legs' on the bottom of my pieces weren't always necessary even though it's a thing that legs 'elevate' the look and make it look less cluttered. After seeing this and seeing how 'grounded' everything is here but still maintains a sense of continuity is really great. Thoroughly enjoyed...and I'm a SF lover anyway...coming from LA up the coast for the weekend is always such a treat.
The house is beautiful but would be quite dark and cave-like for significant periods of time. It certainly would have been in the less-global warming SF weather of the 70's.

We’ve missed this type of editing/production over the past couple of videos, good to see it back!

I came here to say your #3 Very much appreciated! If I hear one more person call a doorway a "portal", I'll rip my hair out!
Love this. A house I could actually live in. Wish more architects maintained the DNA of a house vs. ripping everything out!
This was a really special house that deserved to be treated with dignity.
Love love love this house. It has such a beautiful warm feel to it.
Me too, too, too ❤

I lived in the city for the 90s. These videos make me miss it and bring back great memories.
Beautiful home and interior spaces.

Love the cinematography - only 2 minutes in ...> WOW!
Wonderful home! Interesting how all the different finishes work so well together. Loved it!

Lovely little home. I hope you can all regain your city after the next election. 🎉
