Episode 18 saw the defeat of Date Tech and DOWN GOES NUKEM! Karasuno moves on to face the intimidatingly handsome and talented Oikawa aka. McDreamy...those eyes!

I love how this episode insinuates for the first time Tsukki's (Malfoy) inferiority complex towards Hinata which no one would have guessed before, mostly because he's a way taller and smarter player (and also because of his attitude). But no, this is not the turning point for him, far from it, this is just the beginning of what is, at least for me, the most satisfying character development of the series
I would nickname takeda sensei "Shakespeare " because his inspiring speeches are really poetic metaphors, and i think he is a literature teacher?

Takeda-sensei is the faculty advisor for the volleyball club. He doesn't know much about volleyball yet, but he's learning, and he is totally dedicated to the team. You could call him The Poet, or Shakespeare, or Byron or something, since he is, I think, an English teacher and tends to make emotional, poetic speeches that he immediately regrets, even though they are awesome.

I love the double episodes, but not if it means you have to spend more time than you can on them. I remember reading that was a concern from before. one episode a week is totally fine! we'll all be here either way. :)

Takeda Sensei uses very metaphor heavy pep-talks, like poetry. It figures cause he teaches Literature. Maybe you could call him Teach McPoetson
I really like Coach Ty from the side view. When the ball was tiddling over the net and went to Date Ko's side, you can really tell in Futakuchi's face that he's like "fuck. I'm not gonna reach this. It's over." I hate that feeling. When you're so close to getting it but you can't. Thanks for sharing the daycare story! New-ish parents, huh? That's great. And it's not cringe being a family man.

Do the episodes in the way that suits you and your time best. Most people, myself included, would likely prefer the double episodes but I would rather you not burn out on them either. Also when it comes to the travesty that is the youtube algorithm consistency breeds success.

Also, I have watched the series many times over, but I think this is the first time I ever noticed (at 5:30 mark) Hinata's spotlight being the sun, making Tsukki's the moon. I love their name meanings.

My favorite episodes are epsode 3 and episode 8. Both episodes are focused on characters, not playing volleyball, but I love it! I hope you enjoy it too.

I love how into this show you are! Were you surprised that you would love an anime? :) Good writing and characters are not limited to genre.
I don’t think it always has to be a double episode but there are specific points where I believe the best experience is watching multiple episodes in a row, like when a match is split into two episodes. When you watch them far apart I feel as if the hype is lost
