the end scene and the way karasuno won is pure poetry. it literally mirrors the way Karasuno lost in th first season against Oikawa's team. hinata and kageyama thought that there quick attack was the ultimate weapon, but it got stopped. "NOOO! NOT THE *JAPANESE SYMBOLS* !!" Iconic quotes aside, we finally got to the climax of this insane match (my personal fave, hands down).
Hinata and Kageyama blocking the Twin's quick is actually a direct parallel to Karasuno's loss against Aoba Johsai. That time, it was the KageHina duo who went for that attack, since they were certain that it would be the one thing capable of getting through, but it failed and cost them the losing point. In this case, it's literally mirrored. Still, even tho Inarizaki is very clearly meant to work as a direct Karasuno foil, the reasoning behind using the freak quick in these instances couldn't be more different. For Karasuno, it was meant to be a last resort to turn the tables. For Inarizaki, it's simply a product of the Miya Twins' personality. They really went "you know what would be super fun? to try this one attack that we have almost no experience with, but would be really cool to pull off", even tho they perfectly knew that failing meant losing the match. But they did it regardless, since they love volleyball so, so much (especially Atsumu). They're really living the moment, since... who needs the memories?
Oh and the "let's take it easy" thing came straight out of the ball boy arc (specifically when Hinata was trying to help that Hyakuzawa guy). Suga was on the verge of crying because Hinata finally focusing on the fundamentals shows how he's starting to get past his initial "omg I literally need to spike every single ball that's the only thing I'm here to do and if I can't do it I'm literally going to die" phase.
With that said, see y'all next week for the *final* Haikyuu reaction! (damn those two movies...)

“We don’t need the memories”. What this is initially portrayed as through the amazing skill of Inarizaki and the Miya twins in particular, is that all that matters is the here and now and that you can’t live off memories, so you must drive yourself in the now with all that you have and forget the past. But Kita’s words earlier changed the complexion a bit when he stated that he doesn’t like the motto because it seems to disregard the importance of the past. He firmly believes that we are the result of everything before us. It’s a perspective of maturity that Atsumu doesn’t yet consciously acknowledge.
This helps incorporate a new thematic message and a new spin on the banner motto. It isn’t about being reckless and forgetting the past, it’s about giving it your all in the present using the experiences learned from the past that become ingrained in your body.
And this concept is particularly relevant in the final point of this match as an encapsulation of who Atsumu is. They lost primarly because he got caught up in the fun and expression of the Monster's ball, and came up against the block of two who had tried that in the past, failed in the same manner (vs Seijoh in season 1), and learned from their mistake through not forgetting that memory which opened the path of their growth. And though the pain of defeat can be difficult to endure, there’s always another chance to go again and experience it once more.
And so with this approach, this motto turns from rash to incredibly wise and balanced. And one of the most beautiful things about Haikyuu!! is that these little tidbits of life advice that are presented to us through the characters can be used in any walk of life, in any context.

Pretty much just a summary of the entire match. Considering how they were completely unable to manage the pressure of the Vs Inarizaki match, just imagine how much they would freak the fuck out while watching the future ones. The tension would absolutely consume them (and not in a relatable, cool way). They would be complaining for almost all the time. Almost all of the narratively meaningful moments weren't even addressed. Weirdly, Pat was the saving grace of these videos. Even tho he also didn't really get the meaning behind those moments, at least he always kept it real instead of giving in to the absurd amount of Karasuno bias (and I'm saying this as a hardcore Karasuno fan). If this was just a sport anime and app that matter was who won we wouldn’t get so much dialogue during, between and after sets the characters are constantly learning from each other and changes through out the game from their teammates and their opponents. @@observantwonderer7401 you’re just as bad as the Normies lol. The Birth of the Serene King, the title of the episode, is referring to Kageyama’s transformation as a “king”. Before when he was the dictator-like King, he didn’t bother to communicate or see the conditions of his teammates. He simply forced them to hit unreasonable tosses that he believed were the best tosses when reading the flow of the game.
After the events in middle school, he became the goody-two-shoes setter that Atsumu called him out on. Rather than a King he was someone who compensated for his spikers bad habits. In the practice match with Date Tech, we see the beginning of his transformation as a King, emphasis ON THE BEGINNING. Coach Ukai tells him the importance of communication even if isn’t his strong suit and monitoring the conditions of his teammates. By doing all of that, he can set tosses that not only demand his spikers to hit them but are also possible for them to hit.
In episode 23, Birth of the Serene King, it’s the interaction between Tanaka and Kageyama that highlights the meaning of the episode. Tanaka feeling that he is barely managing to beat the enemy team in air battles asks Kageyama to cut back on tosses to him. Rather than accept that as he would have in the past, Kageyama instead demands Tanaka to continue attacking. Tanaka hasn’t been doing bad and his attacks are needed to make the enemy team remember he’s a threat and improve Karasuno’s chances of scoring overall. In the next point, he does not force Tanaka to hit a specific spike, but demands a spike from Tanaka that Kageyama believes that he can hit.
This was the Birth of the Serene King referred to in the previous episode title. It doesn’t make sense for the title to carry over to episode 24 where Hinata’s Take-it-easy play happens. Although this season shows Hinata’s growth, he is still nowhere near as good as Kageyama as a player. It doesn’t make sense for him to be referred to as a King in the same way as Kageyama since their skills aren’t equal.

From all the reactors i've seen watching Haikyuu, these guys were the worst ones. Stupid jokes everytime, missing important details due to those jokes, not paying attention to the story and then asking later "what is this" or "how did he do this". The last rally of the match is full of details from previous episodes and none of them were seen, like, come on.

Actually thought they would’ve appreciated Hinata’s moment a bit more as it was a big payoff not just for this season but for the show as a whole. Also the introspective monologues from the likes of Kita, and the recruiter for team Japan are very much welcomed. It adds a whole new element to the show but at the end of the day I get why the Normies are getting caught up with the game as it is very dramatic.
But nevertheless there’s a lot of great characters and teams in Haikyu as a whole. But this match along with Inarizaki as a team is my favourite of the series. Great season

Haikyuu comments are full of negative feedbacks of the reaction. Can't blame them tho. U guys does miss a lot and don't appreciate every team but I don't mind it anymore. It bothered me in the beginning but I got used these reactions and even enjoyed it. I appreciate the reactions but with slight criticism. What show are guys reacting to next.
'GIVEN' character designs are based on Haikyuu characters. Main two looks exactly like Hinata and Kageyama. Although it's not a sports anime. It's about musical band and there is some romance. I doubt u guys will react to it. It has boys love which turns off many people. But it's a good story so I wud love to see Normies reactions some day.

Normie Haikyu reactions is like a taxi driver with 10 years of experience in their home city, who doesn't know the rules of the road, or any relevant destinations or landmarks. Whenever their GPS tries to speak up and remind them of a location to help them out, they immediately whine and moan while ignoring the instructions, then drops you off in a completely wrong location, and laughs at you when you complain and never takes any criticism. Repeat ad nauseum. Low key glad this is ending.

  • @JeM130177
    @JeM130177 Рік тому

Damn I feel bad that all the comments are so negative like I get it, it's frustrating because Haikyuu does the character stuff and the call backs so well and we want it to be fully appreciated, it's why it's an anime and not just a live game of volleyball...but I can understand they're concentrating on the game more because they want to know if they win or not so are impatient. There also a lot of them and a lot going on. I'm sure on rewatch they will appreciate it more or....probably once everyone in these comments has told them 😅.But they got some of it! The way the comments are acting it's like they didn't have the slightest clue. Feel like some of y'all are a bit unnecessarily harsh though like air your annoyance sure but no need to be coming in here being rude over a video.
