I operate a mobile detail unit here on the east coast in GA. I called Sammy and left a message and he called me back within 10 mins and really helped me with my needs. Great guy and willing to share his secrets to success in the business! I will definitely be using his products as I move forward into offering metal polishing services to my detailing portfolio. Thanks you Sammy.
Only to a certain extent he will give you light understanding but you have to figure what works for you I found speed sanding does way better than dual action saning it looks like a polished jewel but da does okay but doesn't take it to that level remember if you cut out with speed sanding you have to smooth and go slow with speed sanding so you keep your rotary marks tight that way when you cut it out it cut out easy
Excellent video! Thank you for the in depth tutorial. This is the best polishing video on the internet. You do excellent work 👍🏻

Great work Sammy.. I been detailing for many years and I still learn a new trick here or there.. I will be doing my alloy wheels this week and I think we will make our first vid lol.. since I've never done wheels before I was searchin for a vid on polishing 101.. glad I found you amigo.. take care and God Bless : )
Just a couple things you can look out for when moving on to different finishing stages of your work make sure you're using a rake frequently so you don't cross contaminate the compounding and you're finishing stages as you go on to your cutting and your coloring and you're finishing stages and ultimately you super finishing stages generally we finish with a conventional wheel . I hope this helps
Awesome video really helped me learn the process this video is great thanks
Great video Sammy! Thank you for posting!

@@sammy3627 I wouldn't like to see an entire Airstream mirror polished; my wife totalled her car and near killed 2 old folks in a head-on when she was blinded by a chrome flash off a truck!
@@garychandler4296 yes thats true but there is a lot of shinny tanks Airstream and vehicles on the road
@@garychandler4296 well maybe your wife shouldn't be driving a car if she can't handle the glare most everyone of us gets blinded with the same glare and we don't crash in fact I own several trucks and I have them as shiny as possible.....tell your wife not to drive!!!
@@truthwillsetyoufree1503 Actually, she hasn't driven since that accident. I DID pull her plastic!

We God bless you and your family and let me know if there is anything I can do ok . Don't forget to like , subscribe and set your notifications for future videos
Excellent video Sammy, probably the best instructional video I've seen. I've been polishing ever since I got into trucking, and washing with acid in between certain steps took me a very long time to figure out on my own. Your video saves people countless hours of frustrating trial and error work. Thank you for taking the time, and effort to make such a video. I always enjoy watching them.
+2006pete379 Hay brother thank you for the encouraging word, we are really glad we can help in any small way , be on the look out for more videos and if you have any suggestions that you would like to see let us know.

Well, one thing I am always interested in seeing, and still struggle with, is polishing large flat areas of stainless steel. Whether its SS toolboxes, or fenders, I can get a really nice finish to the naked eye, but inevitably when you shine light on them from different angles you can see light marks in the finish. I purchased a cyclo polisher and want to try finishing it with that, but I haven't had the opportunity yet. Just figured I'd ask and see what you thought, Thanks
Hay bro I don't know your name? but hay I will put it on the list to make a video on how to do the finishing on stainless steel wide and flat parts, but I do know what you mean because that is a challenge . if your using a yellow or white airway wheel with a green bar, your getting a lot of cut lines. so before you can use a cyclo you will have to bring the cut lines down a bit, I would go with a 8 inch conventional wheel and blue moon then no scratch pink while using a variable speed buffer. then I would use some west coast metal polish with a da polisher and finally a cycle. there is now easy what hope that helps a little.
+Sammy Bulgara
Hey, sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Chris, and I'm on the opposite coast in New Jersey. It's starting to warm up out here, so I'm looking forward to trying your method on a flat panel of stainless. I've used blue moon before, but lately I've been using a few products from matchless, and I like their blueish/purplish bar. I never heard of no scratch pink, so I am looking forward to seeing what it'll do. One question; when using a da, are you referring to using a microfiber cutting pad, a wool pad, or just a foam polishing pad? Thanks again for your help. I'll be getting a hold of you guys to try out some of your polish once all the road salt is gone.
+2006pete379 Chris hello and thank for the reply, hay when I mention a DA (dual action) I'm referring to our process and the way we use the DA machine to do metal finishing , I'll make a video on it , I think you'll be surprised.
GOOD JOB SAM
Muchas gracias por tus videos, estoy aprendiendo mucho, muchas bendiciones desde CHILE

You are the real deal!
Why thank you very much for your kind words
Thanks for the video! I'm going to tackle the pontoons on our boat! It's going to be a big job, but if they look half as good as that tank, I'll be satisfied!
Your very welcome and thanks for the kind words ,if you need any pointers just give me a call 559-217-5791
Good video!
What a great video! It was definitely worth the time! I have few questions (I have 100 sqm of brass to polish):
1- Do these compounds and brushes work on brass?
2- How much thickness u think both cutting and polishing will take off? My brass is 1.2 mm thickness
3- What amount of pressure u apply during cutting/polishing? Or u just lay it on the surface and u move it?
4- I’m based in Sydney. How much time you reckon it takes to receive the order?
Lot of questions I know lololol SORRY:)
Wow ,,what a nice job.
Thanks a million
Yes I can send you links specifically to what machine
Hey just watched your video and I'm trying to get a fair price on rims and tanks from sanding to finish bc most of the trucks I do need a lot of sanding and how long should it take for me to do a wheel and a tank (from beginning to end)
Great video! Very informative, thank you! Do you make a mixture of 2 acids by yourself or buy it at a store as a ready to use product?
Thank you!
very very good video.
very nice ;) thanks for video
Thanks i learned allot from you.
Good Job
Wow. Thank you so much 👏👏👏👌🏻
Thank you from Nebraska
Welcome
Awesome video... thank you!!
your welcome 👍
Great job
thank you
Good shit sammy
Sammy, you're a really educated polisher! It's art, brother. I am polishing the aluminum tanks on my 1974 Airstream and gaining knowledge. They aren't even close to what you're working with in this vid, but do you still recommend an acid bath? I have wheel brightener... it's a hydroflouric/sulfuric mixture. Is this an acceptable chemical? I watched your Airstream video. I'm subscribed. You da man!
Really appreciate you taking the time to share your skills and technique. Subscribed and looking forward to more videos. God bless, brother.
+Gage Altgilbers Thank you for your kind words my brother, and thanks for the subscribe if you need anything just let us know as you know freely we have been given and freely we give amen
hola sami tu vendes lo que se nesesita para pulir aluminum me podrias dar una lista de presios o donde lo puedo en contrar gresias por su tiempo me an ayudado mucho sus videos
Awesome work Sammy! Where did you get your flanges for the grinders?
is a very helpful video. thanks for sharing. God bless you. when do you use black magic.
+Humaran Eduardo Hello and thank you for your kind words, Black magic is a super finishing compound so depending on what your previous processes were , I normally use the black magic after I use the green compound, but if you have a good cut and color with the brown and your metal is in good shape you could go directly to the Black Magic, but you would have to experiment. I hope this helps , just a quick reminder if your using the black magic and your getting a lot of back on your work area you might have to back track and use a more aggressive finishing compound. ok good luck on your project
Will cross cutting help out with the white lines im getting only thing im struggling with
hi I get lines in my tanks. i do a first cut of rouge .. and go straight to a finish using a softer bar and pad .. i always get line and esspecially on the end caps. any tips? mind you, i usually have a time limit of 4 hours per tank.
Hey. What would you recomemd me for alloy wheels. What compound and buffing wheel
Nice work Sammy... Really informative video.
Always great to see other polishers at work and see their techniques.
The consumables you guys use in the states aren't readily available over here in the UK so we gotta use slighty diff techniques/compounds etc to get a result.
Just out of interest.... do you ever cross cut on the finishing stages? If not why?
Keep on keepin on guys!
+Moorshine Metal Polishing Thanks for taking the time to drop a few lines, to your question, no we do not cross cut in the finishing procedures. when we do heavy cutting and cross cutting we are not overly concerned with complete uniformity, but after that we want to start keeping the metal work finishes in uniformity. I hope that makes sense. Again thanks for your comments be Blessed
How much do you sand I polish for a living but dunno how to sand do I just go side to side until I get reflection then start with the airway wheels??
Thank You For This Video Great Job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your welcome I'm glad it helped
Hey, just watched this video again. Just something about polishing that I love to watch. Anyway, just wondering who could possibly give this video a thumbs down.
Other jealous polishing companies no doubt
How do i remove the buffer marks I did the kwik cut wheel with tripoli then the joker wheel with the green moss, then the muslin 60 ply wheel with blue moon. I still have buffer marks.
Do you clean the substrate between compounds?
Hi, good video! One of the guys in the video polishing is wearing some kind of face wrap/cover. What is he wearing exactly? I would like to cover more of my skin when I'm polishing and that looks like it would keep a person pretty clean.
Are pontoon boats made out of the same type of aluminum on there floats thanks great video very informative
Yes all aluminum is polishable your compounds and temperatures are the
Do you have to rake out a brand new red/orange wheel? Or use it as it comes?
Thank you!
Hi Sammy. How long will that shine last, and what does it take to keep it shining?
thank you for the video, very informative. Just one question, is there a way or product to protect the metal after polishing it?
Thank you and a good ceramic coating is good
Is a polishing machine that spins at 3500rpm good enough to polish my fuel tanks?
